Tim Tams

I have to admit that I've never heard of them--- but I did find a picture! Are they an Aussie treat?

This friend of mine from high school spent a year in Sydney, and absolutely raved about them. Still does actually.
 
Cairns in Far North Queensland is regarded as the Tim Tam capital of the world. Shops here sell more packets of Tim Tams than any other city or town in Australia, mainly thanks to the tourists. Young Japanese tourists in particular really seek them out.

I try NOt to eat them but sometimes I am weak and the devil tempts me.
 
i love tim tams i miss them so much since ive moved back from australia. i can sometimes find them in random supermarkets but they are rare

On Kanga's recommendation of sorts, I had a mate in Oz send me some. They were godlike.

We get them here now, but the stores charge the earth for them so I don't buy them often, unfortunately.

But fuck me backwards with a broomstick, they are good!

and don't forget that there are now several varieties of them and as well, they are now available as an ice-cream. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm. (!)
 
brought them back to the us from australia each trip...i think you can get them in the states now...tho not quite the same as i heard.

got some originals in my freezer :D
 
omg I just moved from Brisbane to Tokyo, and they're the first thing that's made me a little homesick - I'm going to have to find some here, my mouth is watering now!

It's something a friend of mine used to say at school - sometimes it's the only phrase which really works!

There were other variants he came up with expanding on the theme, but in most cases the sequel is never as good as the original, is it?
