  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

To all REAL guys!

Trolls really need to get a bit more creative. :<

Now, most of you know that almost all gay guys are feminine flamers (well, of course except for me, and maybe a few others), so how does a normal guy go about to get some NORMAL dude ass??? It's really a big problem for me, anyone else have the same problem?

You can't get a NORMAL guy because even "normal" guys don't go for creeps like you.

You can't get this kind of entertainment for free ANYwhere else.

It's funny 'cos it's true.

He sounds hottt!!!---I love big ol' gay guys, who think no one knows--they are usually the best bottoms.

I remember Orion (does he still exist?) doing this sort of thing once. His was about the hypocrisy of people damanding celebrities come out, however when its a normal everyday person they think its an awful thing.

Here he seems to have made up an obviously bullshit story to take the piss out of Jasun's post. And after reading the original I'll admit to giggling slightly. Though not sure where the "getting normal guys" part comes from. Maybe I need to read the rest of the thread.

Forgive me for spoiling the fun but may I add a serious comment to this thread?

For all those who believe that they are so straight acting and masculine that no one would ever guess that they are gay I would like to reveal a secret to you.

Straight people don't spend every minute of the day wondering if a guy is gay. I would be surprised if they even give a minutes thought to homosexuals.

You might think you are straight and butch but the surprise when someone finds out you are gay is not because of that it is just that simple surprise.

Stop hiding behind your supposedly perfect acting skills and allocate all that effort into being an open, well balanced and happy gay man.

LOL!

I started reading the OP and didn't get but three or so sentences in before I thought "Oh no . . . "

I almost just pressed the back button, in the same reflexive way I tend to love horror movies but close my eyes and plug my ears during the gross parts. But the responses were way too awesome and I kept reading. Glad I did! Haha! Laughter is good medicine!

ROFLMAO! I actually don't know what to say....Yes I do.....I think you should just hire escorts, because with this statement you put on here, I see why you don't get laid, or you're hanging out in the wrong bars.

I don't think this is satire. I think he's really that far down the evolutionary ladder.

a) he said so
b) did you read the thread i linked?

a) he said so
b) did you read the thread i linked?

a) He welcomed you to the thread. Am I just not seeing the post where he says "this is satire," or are we taking his "Welcome" differently?

b) I read the initial post, and I see why you think it's connected, but 1. I'm sure that thread wound up with a lot of the usual suspects slamming Jasun again, and I'm tired of reading that kind of stuff; 2. the OP of this thread could not expect everyone to have read that other thread (frex, I hadn't), and 3. even if it was a satire of that other thread, I don't think it's all that funny.

My point b)2 is the key for me. The OP was willing to insult everyone who didn't know the other thread or didn't recognize this as satire. The humor is not just at Jasun's expense (how come no one ever picks on the real monster trolls of this site?), but at the expense of everyone who came upon it unaware. Which is what led to my initial remark (which the OP responded to in a derisive and completely uninformative private comment - had it said "Dude, it's a satire of " and linked where you did, I'd probably have changed my tune).

Oh well. You're a Mod and you have ruled on it, and I'm not going to second-guess you or "Moderator shop," because I value moderation more than I value getting my way in any one case, and mod-shopping undermines moderation, not to mention that if you all (the mods) let me get away with that, you're crazy!

Besides, if every post you report gets axed, you're not reporting enough posts!

Personally I do not think that *any* of the parody threads that have become such a habit here are funny. But that doesn't stop the people from doing them.

You have a point here :) Although I hope that those people who report people because they disagree with them do not take this advice ;)

It wasn't meant to be another one of those parody threads per se, nor was it my intention to ridicule Jasun in any way, even though some of what he had written in the post that you linked to was indeed used as inspiration, I was merely trying to make a comment on the masculinity issues that so many gay men seem to be haunted by and how we tend to inflict ourselves with feelings of insecurities by insisting on perpetuating these straight gender norms, in most cases without even realizing the social constructions that lie behind said norms in the first place.

Of course, it was also meant to be a little funny. I thought it was fairly obvious too - I mean, what exactly does a big football player/athletic swimmer body look like??
Oh well...

I've met people that stupid. It wouldn't surprise me to see one on here.

And when something is that icky, I tend to skim a little.

^ Agreed. We've seen some astoundingly stupid views expressed here.

So does one get pleasure out of catching out everybody and making them seem stupid because on reading a thread they gain the impression that it is a genuine opinion?

So why should I have automatically seen that it was a parody? Obviously it wasn't a very good one or people would have replied differently.

People forget that this is Internet and to get an idea across you must use the written word. Subsequently your usage of the written word must be extremely well developed if you wish to convey a different meaning to that which the words seemingly express.

Or just simply put the word 'parody' in the title thus removing instantly any possibility of confusion.
