Attention To All Those Affected by the East Coast Snow/Ice Storm:

Wow, didn't realize Septa (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) was almost completely shut down. Damn.

Try not to round your back while shoveling, and squat don't bend over while lifting a heavy load.

I am not done shoveling either.

Just back from shoveling round two. The plow went by and closed up my driveway. That's dug out now, and I should be able to get the car out of the driveway in the morning with minimal effort.

This time (around 11:15 am or so) I saw lots of people out walking dogs, throwing snowballs, etc. It's a pretty snowfall, but my lower back doesn't seem to agree!

I just shoveled the front and some of the backyard. I had to leave the little walkway from the front of the house to the backyard alone since I can't get my shovel in there thanks to leftover ice from the last storm. It looks like the snow stopped falling but now the rain is coming. More ice, woo hoo.

I tried to make a snowball the but the snow is very fluffy.

Ain't gonna lie, you guys on the east side have it really bad. Stay inside if you can, don't brave the wintry mix if you don't have to.

For the last week, it's been -10C.

Over the last three days, we've gotten over four feet of snow. Then it rained, turning the entire town into a slushy mess.

You guys have nothing to complain about.

Just got woken up by my roommate and since I was up I decided to check what was happening with public transportation. As of right now there is still no service and if there isn't then I won't have to go to work, which can be good or bad. Because I don't know if that means our delivery truck will still come to my store.

I hear there was a LOT of snow in upstate NY, and there was even thunder in central NJ... what a strange storm that must have been!

No snow here and none forecast....in fact sun was out today and some early things are in bloom like cherries and some unknown yellow flowers...

I hear it's been chilly back east...

(note very slight concern in my post)...

hahaha...

Looks like it is hitting eastern Canada now.

Southwesterly wind gusts up to 120 km/hour are expected tonight. This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

An intense low pressure system over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will move across Western Newfoundland tonight.

For areas under a winter storm warning: mixed precipitation will change back to snow overnight. Winds gusting to 70 to 90 km/h will generate blowing snow overnight into Saturday morning.

For areas under a wind warning: very strong southwesterly winds up to 120 km/h will develop tonight in the wake of the low.

Very high waves and pounding surf are expected over the Southern Avalon, Burin and Connaigre peninsulas again during high tide Saturday morning. Well another one of the "every other day" storms. Blizzard conditions tonight and tomorrow; 12 to 18 inches snow. Happy, happy, joy, joy! NOT!!!!

Taking it in stride here in Philadelphia. Preparing for more snow this afternoon----1 to 3 inches. What's a few more inches?? Spring is coming - only about a month away. The Philadelphia Flower Show - the biggest event here in the city - is coming the first week of March. Can't wait.

Double Nor'easters, round 2 tonight.
