To all you natural you Blond/Red haired people

I usually dye my hair though...cos my natural auburn-ish color quickly starts getting carrotty with the sun, especially in the summer ! I usually dye it dark (neutral/ash) brown or black...I look better with dark hair than with my natural color ! It's weird ! Especially when the lighter and reddish roots start showing up !!!

Mine's weird, it doesn't ever get carotty. It'll get shiney redish if I get a LOT of sun...gee, maybe that's why it was so much more red when I was little, lot more sun than then I tend to get now...lot more sunburns then too though. ^_^; ...which led to all these stupid freckles on my otherwise white (and I've decided near-albino) skin...I mean, c'mon, you aren't supposed to be able to see the red arteries and blue veins through your skin, are ya...? I mean, where muscles are, thats kinda cool, but like the back of your hands/tops of your feet...?

Radical Matt: I'd say that still counts as red, cos I seem to be the same color as you. It's not bright flaming ginger-red...it's more of an auburn/reddish-brown kinda thingy...that gets increasingly redder as it lightens with the sun. And it also shimmers really red in the sun. But because it's not that light (most redheads have that strawberry blonde color while I have a darker, less orange and more RED red color), in the shade or with bad lighting I often get mistaken for a brunette or a light-brunette . I usually have to step into the sunlight and suddenly everyone will go "Ohhhh ! Your hair is so red !!"

Reddish-BROWN and strawberry BLONDE are still considered reds , even though the "red" is the adjective and not the noun ! Remember that !

PS: Gee, all that sun is killing me...we have 32 - 33 degrees Celsius right now, and scorching sun ! I just dyed my hair dark brown a couple of weeks ago and now it's already carrotty/light copper. It sucks !!!

I think us natural redheads have the most interesting colors cos it's not like brunettes who have every kind of hair dark and that's it ! Some of us also have red eyebrows and facial hair, some of us have blonde eyebrows and facial hair, some of us have blonde or red body hair, some of us have different combinations of body hair areas colors, some of us have freckles, some don't....In short: we're quite a funny folk !!!!

I have auburn eyebrows for example, but my facial hair is black with stray blonde hairs here and there...auburn eyelashes that are really long and fade into blonde...the hair "down there" is practically black, the hair on my torso is also black/dark brown, but the hair on my legs and arms is also auburn and gets lighter in the sun (usually in the summer...my arm hair gets blonde and my leg hair which is obviously thicker and more, gets just a lighter version of auburn)...it's sooooo weird !

Hehe, yeah, when I don't shave, my facial hair is redish with a touch of brown and some stray blond hairs. Gee, maybe I should spend more time in the sun, would get my hair lighter (I hate the hair on my arms and legs being so dark, it totally contrasts with my ultra light skin and just kinda pisses me off. ^_^; ) My eyebrows...they're seemingly mostly brown with the edges being all red. Maybe cause that hair actually does see a good deal of sun. The hair on my arms seems lighter too, so maybe I am just getting a little more sun...

But yeah, you're right, I think, lot of variety. I mean, I haven't seen redheaded guys naked to compare them all in those areas, but from the reports here, it seems there is a great deal of variety between us. -shrug-

Yeah, I am aware that pic is ridiculously photoshoglossed... in my desktop pic I can count every sunburnt pore of his deep-fried skin.
