The wildflowers are starting to bloom in abundance in the Eastern Columbia Gorge. This always makes me happy.
Sun rolls down the vast hills into pools of poison oak.
I watched giant red salmon lollygag in a little lake, and falcons mete out their destiny overhead.
I noticed at least a dozen kinds of wildflower, and wished my botanist friend was along.
I don't mind being sunburnt, or risking ticks.
On days like this, it's like you're swimming through the air.
