There is nothing wrong with sitting naked in a sauna. Playing with one's self is a different matter. The locker room implies nudity, but not sexual behavior.

You sum it up quite nicely. I don't have a problem with anyone being completely naked in the sauna (although the few times I go in one I wear a towel), and I enjoy being naked in locker rooms and showers with other guys. But I only use the locker room, sauna, showers, etc. for their intended purposes. Seeing hot men naked is a nice bonus, but I don't think it is at all appropriate for any sort of sexual activity to take place there.

Sex acts in bath houses are fine thats what they are there for.
Swimming pools,sports centres and gyms are there for all to use either clubs or public ones. Sex acts in either the changiong rooms,showers or sauna are wrong, Ok to have a look at the talent but thats it.

Off for a swim and sauna now. Love it here in Germany all the saunas are mixed so plenty of talent of both sexes.

Now then. I get the thrill of public sex. I've done my share of university washroom jerk offs. However, the base argument here is some people maintaining that its ok no matter what, and an ageist stance. The counter to this is that its a public place so it shouldn't happen, and that its not a matter of age rather than behavior.

Can we agree:

1) Saunas have clothing optional rules depending on where they are. Its ok to be nude, no matter what your age.

2) Unless its a private club (aka bath house) public sex is illegal. People using a public sauna should expect to have a non-sexual environment. Thus, it is more than reasonable for someone to be offended when someone of any age is participating in sexual activities in an area where the general public has access too.

So how about a happy medium. If you like to engage in risky behavior, hey, fill your boots. You take the risk, and you may take the consequences. But when someone else enters the area STOP, or go somewhere else. Its YOUR public sex fetish, and its not your right to expose someone else to it. Take it elsewhere or cease when another party enters the scene and they are obviously not comfortable with what is going on.

I mostly agree with this, except I'm pretty sure if an unsuspecting stranger catches you giving a blowjob in the showers, his day already got irretrievably weird even if the guys stop and take it somewhere else.

On the other hand I think there is also a bit of a double standard. Most of the straight people I know, men and women, would like to have at least one story in their sexual history of a time when they had a quick moment of passion in an elevator, or anywhere else in public where being out of sight wasn't quite as important as the sex. I mean even the most modest of romantics can enjoy a fantasy about making love on a secluded beach with the one true loves of their lives. But what if someone stops by???? Oh Gilligan!!!! Oh the Horror!!!

Also I'd bet that most of the straight people who don't admit to enjoying that kind of passion probably just lack the balls to admit they like it. And for the tiny minority that truly is so anti-sex that they can't even imagine it, I kind of hope their day is ruined by the mere sight of a couple in the heat of the moment.

I dunno, on one hand I'm very respectful of others freedom to stay out of somebody else's sex life. But on the other hand I personally find it hard to see why it's a big deal. I once walked in on a straight couple doing it under the way-too-short table cloth of a banquet table. I'm hardly scarred for life. I thought it was kind of funny.

I think most people would happily ignore a couple fucking in a car, or the dunes, or a broom-closet, or somewhere where they personally do not have to/need to/want to be. It's another story when people get recreational in the space you're intending to use.

I have been at 5 star hotels that share Gym facilities with Golf course members..different ones in different states. I went for the inocent use of the steam room and it blew my mind that this activity was going on in practically every time I used it.
