  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

To those born 1980-1988.

WOO! 1982!

I wish it was the Year of the Cock, but I think its the Year of the Dog.

I was at a college party (I know I'm 24 right) this past weekend - long story short, I turned to some of my coworkers that were with me (don't ask why we were there LoL) and I said "Oh my god, this house is SO dirty! It's gonna take forever to clean tomorrow." She turns to me, laughs, and says "That comment just showed how OLD you really are!"

I'm 24! Where did my early 20's go?

Justin, August 26, 1981. I was a Smashing Pumpkins Fan in the mid-late 90's. I remember the beginning of the Transformers and GI Joe, and those high socks and short shorts.

It was only meant to be a bounce off thread of the other year thread like this. Don't take it like that. (*8*)
Well, I'd have started a thread called "To those born 1950-1958", but a certain mod would have probably deleted the thread (or sent it to Fun & Games) and given me more points. :p

I kind of like the life in decads ago.it's naturalyy good..but computer is cool..

1983 here. I have to say I feel 'old' sometimes when I see all my little nieces and nephews playing and watching stuff I used to be so into when I was their age. You know, Ninja Turtles, Voltron, Transformers, GI JOE etc, etc. UGH ! Recycling my youth for tomorrows youth to enjoy in other words. That's why I got a t shirt that says 'EVERYTHING YOU LIKE I LIKED 5 YEARS AGO'.

Another great band for us 90's kids: Deftones, dark themed rock, and what a sexy voice! :D

We were lucky, rock was still somewhat good during the 90's, and if anything, much darker than earlier decades. Today it all sounds like sum 41.

I was born in 1982. What a great year! I love the 80's simply because three of my favorite bands come from the 80's. Joy Division(well '78-80), The Smiths, and The Cure.

Speaking of being born in this time frame, tomorrow is my birthday.

I was born a long time before but the 80's is where I found myself.

does that count.

I am bumping an old thread. I was born in 1984. Hello to my fellow 80s babies here at JUB. :gogirl:(!) I think the 80s were a great decade. So much great stuff from that decade. Holla.

A lot of sadness in the eighties. I miss my friends.

but yea it was a decade of progress for our community

It was the 80's

so i asked this girl if she wanted to see boy george

she said ok and we went to a nice place to have dinner.

I didn't know it was a date. poor girl........I was a good catch.

1982 here. The 90's I remember most. big hair, plaid, alot of metallica and nirvana. Beavis and butthead, the simpsons, music stores that stocked cassette tapes and few CD's. The height of mall culture...

Go find a music store today, it does not have the same atmosphere and selection as those mom and pop record stores in that era. The 'record store' is definatly an artifact.
