Today has not been a good one

You know those days where nothing you touch goes right? Well I have just had one.

Forgot to put my alarm clock on - and so was VERY late for work

The road to the place where I park my car was closed because there had been a fire over night, making me even later

Then the amendments to the computer system I have been working on were pointlessly overrulled by the bosses and so needs to all be changed

Following on from the above I ended up having an argument with one of the bosses (who was drunk from a luchtime meeting)

Forgot that I had parked my car in a different place when I left work and so went into automatic mode and unnecessarily walked accross town

I was going swimming tonight but I feel like I have a cold on the way and so I don't think that is a good idea.

I have just burnt my pizza and so I need to restart my evening meal.

Honestly - I think I should just go to bed now so I can start again tomorrow and just pretend today didn't happen.

Anyone elses day not go to plan?

I don't know. Maybe it's the chlorine, but I always rebound from a cold when I go swimming. That's just me, though.

My day has just started... so far my friend has not called back to confirm our movie plans, it's raining (but what else is new?) and I still haven't managed to start the project I'm supposed to work on today.

I was expecting a bad day, in a sort of Arthur Dent way - it's Thursday, and I can never get the hang of Thursdays.

I've got a lot of dodgy lessons on Thursdays, and I normally expect to have a really bad day. However, today was actually relatively good. Quite productive, in fact. That's always nice. And the teacher who made last Thursday particularly unpleasant isn't apparently meant to teach two of the lessons she did last time, so this time around I was taught by a much better teacher - in fact, Alan Clements, who is a worldwide authority on his subject.

Yes - I will agree - you win - but bad days aren't a competition - it is just that horrid feeling that everything you turn your hand to will some how all go to shit one way or another.

Today has been better as it goes - although my cold has properly kicked in and now I can't go out to play tonight - even though I have had tickets booked for over 3 months - but at least I was able to achieve stuff today which is one up on yesterday.

Can some one pass me a tissue
