Yesterday I was running the Air Conditioning in the house and the car.

I'm really trying to avoid turning on the heat tonight. Weather fairy's forecast for the next few days for my house (the NWS can give me a forecast within 2 miles of a map point):

Overnight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. North northwest wind between 7 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 52. North northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. Calm wind becoming west between 5 and 8 mph.

^ Chillyboi, you live in Cleveland, and my dear buddy, I rather guess you could have your first snow any time now. What is this in a couple of months.

We have had a wet and cool summer here, but I am ready for the changing seasons, and the fall here in the mountains is spectacular. Then I say, "Let it snow!"

its 67F at the moment. sort of cool, drying out from all the rain we've got today. its very nice.

It is now the first day of Autumn.

36 hours ago I was running the A/C. It was 85 F outside.

I turned on the furnace this afternoon.

I just took out the garbage, it is now 41 F outside and 'raining' in big white globs. It is a little too warm in my yard to stick but 25 miles from me (and about 3000 feet higher) they got 10 inches of 'white rain'.

Ugh.

For some inexplicable reason, summer didn't start up here in Alberta until the beginning of September. We've had more blistering hot days in the last three weeks than we had in the last three months.

I guess we were lucky here in St Louis because it was not hot(95 degrees plus) at all this summer...So that means this winter is going to be horrible!!!...
