I'm a big suck. This morning I took my first born to her new home at Uni. I knew I was going to be emotional, but this is ridiculous. I'm a mess. I'm so proud that she is now off on her own to start a new life, but in strange city with no friends ? It was just yesterday I was walking her to kindergarten, doing her hair and teaching her how to ride a bike. Now she has gone off to conquer the world and I'm sitting at my computer, Skype open, just waiting for a hello. I know every parent says this, but she really is a good kid. She is beautiful, funny and so caring. I pray she will be an asset to the world.

To my daughter, Thank you for being such a good kid. Mommy and Daddy love you so much and wish you happiness and success.

It's a new chapter Mikey, last night we babysat our granddaughter, you have much to look forward to.
 
A couple of weeks ago I was with my sister when she sent her daughter (19) away to India for a year.

That very same day we were very involved with a forex trade that needed to be perfectly timed (they shadow trade my trades).

I called her to make sure she had her account funded and ready -- because it was a fast in and out trade.

She answered the phone balling her eyes out - and she is a VERY STRONG PERSON -- I have never EVER seen her cry.

And she was SO GRATEFUL for the distraction.

I don't have kids -- but I now understand PERFECTLY what you are going through.

Stay strong. Stay proud. And be glad that you are one of us with emotions. It is part of what makes life so beautiful.
