Today he was at my place and we were just chatting and I asked him spontaneously to write something becuase i was wondering what his hand-writing was like .. and he did and i looked at the paper .. and it said : i love you too.

Glad to hear that it worked out okay in the end.

For some people, it's very hard to say the words. It could be because they're from a family that isn't very demonstrative. It could be that he's the type that finds it easier to show it instead of say it. It could be because he's just scared and vulnerable.

Don't get caught up on the words. If you're a year into a relationship, you should know (although it is nice to hear it sometimes).
