He actually has a pretty lengthy arrest record, mostly for drugs and assaults. There are several mugshots of him online that vary from really hot to really scary. Writing to him is fine, everyone deserves to have friends. But I'd draw the line at meeting him, he seems either troubled or dangerous. He claims to be straight. Is he just gay for pay, or bi, or just struggling with his identity? And all the mugshots and prison time? At the very least, he's got waaaaaaay too much heavy baggage for you to try and carry. Be careful with how far you want to pursue this.
