I hate this shit!!! HATE IT!!!!
I gotta get myself an antibiotic tomorrow asap. I'm taking Ibuprofen (sp) to help ease the pain and diminish the swelling a bit. But I really need that antibiotic. Can't wait to get rid of this shit!

Who else have had tonsilitis around here?
 
I had too much trouble when I was a young child and had them removed when I was 6. I remember so many trips to the infirmary before then and after they were removed, it was several years before I finally went back to the infirmary for anything.
 
Until you can get to a doctor, try gargling with some warm salt water.

When my tonsils were really swollen from mono, the salt water really helped take the edge off of the pain.
 
Ok, just came back from the doc and pharmacy. I'm gonna take an antibiotic (as expected of course) and he told me to gargle with this thing that's similar to Hextril (if you know what this is) but much stronger and the taste is near unbearable...I'm at the brink of vomiting. It's disgusting!

He told me to keep up with the Ipobrufen for now, just to ease the pain.

Hopefully, I'll be better tomorrow.

But that stuff I've to gargle with...I've to do it like 4 times a day! How am I going to survive? You've no idea just how nauseating it is...and the taste really stays in your mouth. I tried drinking some juice to disguise it a lil' bit and it didn't work at all! :cry:

That's how swollen they can get...sometimes it's really hard to breathe. You can get headaches, chills, fever, pain all over your body, your ears ache, it hurts when you swallow (scratch blowing a guy on a date), you have this weird taste in your mouth, you feel tired, lacking energy and you just feel bad overall.
