Tonya hardings new book

Tonya Harding has a new book out called the Tonya Tapes, this story is a couple of months old but no one else has posted about it (I think) i suppose "entertainment" would be the appropriate forum to put it in ?? i know a lot of people hate Tonya but i love her

It's amazing how she's managed to stretch out her '15 minutes of shame' to 15 years. Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the bookstore.

for those of us living under a rock. who is Tonya harding?

she is a former semi celebrity , she was an olympic ice skater who's husband hired someone to whack her competitor "nancy kerrigan " in the leg to take her out of competition, Tonya always CLAIMED she was innocent

Well, it must have been realy hard to bear the pressure put on her - from the side of her husband and the men who threatened her with a murder... However, how can we be sure she was thretened in this way? Wasn´t she just too passive and submissive that she just did what people around her say her to do? Did she even tell her husband what she had thought about his act?
I am not 100% sure she is trustworthy, I don´t know... I think she hand´t been morally so good to let all that happen and she just wants to make people understand her now but it´s hard when you have her book as the main proof...

And concerning her skate (the link above) - I found it very boring, the music choice was ghastly... I know the times have changed but I saw what I saw...

There was always a rivalry between Tonya and Nancy but, with Tonya, it went beyond mere rivalry. She despised Nancy and the attention she received from both the public and the media. She despised the fact that Nancy was a better skater. Her only chance to get the attention she craved was by taking out the competition. She got caught and has been trying to clear her name and regain favour since then. She doesn't understand that she never really had that favour in the first place.

Nancy was Cinderella. Tonya was the all three ugly stepsisters combined. She'll never erase that image in the minds of anyone who were there to see her behaviour first-hand.
