You aren't too skinny. You're at the point where you just need to work out, rather than try to lose weight.

I happen to think you look completely fine the way you are, but if you were to define your chest and shoulders a bit more, you'd look like a completely different person.

Physical exercise in the form of regular weight training, or gymnastics, or swimming etc. will develop muscle tone and sculpt an attractive physique.

The BMI is not an indicator of a healthy body, or a healthy life. Do not rely upon this index as a guide to your optimum weight.

Congratulations on losing so much fat. Now start building a muscular body by investing your time in a dedicated exercise programme that will also raise your sense of self esteem. Self respect grows out of making the effort to improve your appearance, and as a result a healthier, and more appealing body rewards us with a much more positive outlook on life.

Your stomach will appear much less distended when you begin to develop your pectorals.

I think you look very attractive.

I'm worried that that might be a bit too much, as I don't want to lose any more weight and would rather tone up. What's your opinion?

No, that's not too much. I swim 2km in less than 1.5 hours 1-2 times a week.

You won't get "too thin" from sports. Only not eating enough (or very bad) will do that too you.
You lost some fat, and often that shows in the face first. This might look unhealthy or at least different to people who haven't seen you before like this. Probably that's what irritated your mate.
Continue to do sports and you will eventually gain more muscle. That will increase your weight again but you will look different for sure :) Swimming is an all over good exercise to keep your fit and lean. It will give you broad shoulders, a great back, chest and legs. If you want to have "big guns" however, the gymn might be faster.

I am not even fast ..

Make short pauses if it helps. Swim in a pool with rather "cool" water. If your body chills enough to feel the cool again immediately continue swimming (or earlier ;) ). You should be able to do 500m without a pause. Are you still smoking?

^Thanks, Corny!

The "swimmer's build" really is what I'm going for; I'm not looking to get buff and muscle-bound. I'm glad I'm not overdoing it. I wish I could do 2km in an hour and a half! I can barely make it past 500m without almost dying! Your advice in my other thread was excellent as well, so thanks again. :)

Also, you're probably right about my friend; I've not seen much of him over the last three or four months, and that's when I dropped quite a bit of weight (quite unhealthily, I may add; I had a horrible diet), so it's probably much more dramatic for him to see me as I am now.

Losing excess fat is healthy. Weight is not the primary factor, rather ensuring that you build muscle to replace unsightly layers of fat. Forget your overall weight. Focus on building muscle.

A regular exercise programme will not only build a fine physique but also improve your over all health, including your lung, and heart health.

An improving appearance encourages us to continue with our dedicated exercise routines to where we take much more interest in our appearance.

Good health is an investment in good living. This includes regular daily exercise, and a healthy diet that feeds us with sufficient nutrition to guarantee us a healthy life.

Quit all fast food. Focus on vegetables, fresh fruit, fish, white oats (porridge), cheese and poultry.

I have noted your posts on your restricted budget and can only recommend you to be much more aware of the cheaper cuts, of these essential foods at your local supermarket that are always available to those with an eagle eye for special offers.

You don't look super skinny you look fine just build some muscle, you'll start seeing a weight gain, but good weight.
