Top Chef: All-Stars

^ Um, yeah. I was just watching the recap episodes and honestly, I have no fucking idea what I was thinking.
 
As you all know TP:All Stars took a week off..Here's a re-cap of the last episode from 2-weeks ago...


Dale "the Bitch" won the "Fish Challenge" and he won "immunity"..So far the Dude is @ the Top of his Game..

Marcel, Tiffany, Angelo, Mike & Antonia LOST the "Restaurant War Challenge"...Marcel was very nervous or very High during the cooking scenes...Mike said that the Guy is a "ticking time bomb" but I did not detect it in earlier episodes...

Richard won the "Restaurant Wars" challenge and 10,000...

Marcel was booted off due to his mismanagement of his Team...
 
^^^^I was surprised Marcel cracked like he did...I really thought he'd make it to the final 3...


What is going on with Fabio & Richard? In the last episode someone mentioned they have this "bromance" thing going on...I wondered if Richard is getting some of that Italian Sausage?...:lol:.....
 
Glad Marcel is gone. Always thought he was a little bitch who needed to brought down a notch.

I am still up in the air on who my favorite is. Not sure who I want to win. Right now, I sort of like Carla!

Awww...I like Tre. I was hoping that Michael would go home...anyone that cocky and a little bit annoying can pack their knives.

And Angelo keeps pinging my gaydar...especially with comments regarding fashion, etc.
 
I so wanted a non-Italian chef to win. It was so annoying how during the consults all the Italian chefs were being so obnoxious. I can understand being baffled that some mussels/clams won but the silence at Antonia's win was one of the best things ever on Top Chef. I knew Tre was a goner when he wanted to do risotto.

Having Isaac Mizrahi judging the "Quick fire" challenge would have worked had he not been so over-the-top...I agreed with Dale when he said he could care-less what some Fashion designer thought of his food-creation...


That challenge could have gone to any of them..The whole thing was CRAP...


I liked the Italian-dinner "Elimination challenge"..Lorraine Bracco is always "herself" and she was a good-pick by the producers...The conversation around the table was real. Probably the ONLY time in the history of the show that I wish I could have been there...


Tre should have used common-sense...I'm not a Chef but even I know Risotto is suppose to "spread" when it hits the plate...Why would you serve Stiff & Thick Risotto to Italians?

Mike's noodles were not done and I thought that would have sent him home...Which dish is more terrible; Uncooked-mushy pasta or Stiff Risotto?..Oh well..


Marcel is getting his own Cooking show on the "Sy-Fy" channel...It's being promoted as part food/part science..It will air in March...
 
Carla's Husband is a Handsome-Stocky Dude...Everyone was SURPRISED that they met on "Match.com" and got married 8-months after their first meeting...So there's hope for those that still wanna try the dating-game Online..

Here's the latest...Dale & Angelo went home earlier than anyone expected...Fabio also got the boot...

I'm still trying to understand how & why these Chefs never made "Cookies" & Burgers and Fries....If you've NEVER prepared simple-comfort-food then you can't call yourself a Chef..


The Final 5..Richard, Carla, Tiffany, Mike & Antonia...
 
^^^I agree 100%....Mike's mother Praises him..So I wonder how she felt after seeing that episode...

Right now I'm rooting for Carla...I hope all 3 women end up in the final...It's hard to root for Richard when he thinks he's better than the other Chefs..

The only person he Respects is Fabio and it's obvious he wants to get in Fabio's pants really bad...What they got going on is way more than a simple "Bromance"...Fabio had to stop himself from kissing Richard on the Lips when they parted ways...
 
I literally welled up a tear or five when Angelo got sent home, and he took it so professionally and with grace.

NOT to mention that he told Angelo that he needed MORE salt in his soup...

ALTHOUGH -- I blame Angelo for even ASKING a COMPETITOR for info on HIS dish and then ACCEPTING the feedback... :confused:

I was THRILLED that ALL five got through -- and I'm looking forward to the finals...

I'm PARTIAL to BOTH Tiffany and Carla for some unknown reason... !oops!

I hate how sexist the culinary community seems. Any time any of the women win an elimination challenge, the guys act like they didnt deserve it and they are so reluctant to even congratulate them. But when Richard wins everyone had a parade. Now Mike is only being respectful to Antonia b/c he found out they were related. But he was still so awful to Tiffany and Carla for surviving being eliminated. I just hope Richard doesn't win. I really don't care who wins, although I do prefer Carla.
 
I think Antonia's got this one. I'm disappointed in the show that it's succumbed to political correctness (they clearly want a woman to win this season).

She accepted her boot off so gracefully. Agreeing that the judges were correcting in eliminating her. Class.

I don't really feel motivated to watch now. I guess I'm rooting for Tiffany now, but I don't really care.

I'm sad now :( I haven't kept up with this as much... I tend to catch the Housewives more often then Top Chef :(

I'm not sure if I want to keep watching now, since I was rooting for her for awhile.
 
I wasnt rooting for Richard or Mike because they both came across as self-absorbed...The show went on waaay to long...I Hope Top Chef Masters does not follow suit...

I was glad Carla won "Viewer Fan Favorite" and $10,000...

If the Grand-Prize was $200-Grand I wonder what the participating Chefs took home?
