Right off the bat, I'm not caring for the new contestants as much as last season. But for first impressions, I think the brothers are cute (but might be douchey). The openly gay guy, Ash, and the French guy are cute too. And I like the Indian girl w/ the short hair. It's too early to remember their names.

What I think is weird so far is their house. Past seasons, they were living in hip penthouses downtown. This season, they live in a house in the suburbs, and it's not even a nice looking house. I figured Bravo would have sprung for a few suites in one of LV's many hotels, but I guess the recession has affected TC.:confused:
 
haha well I guess they are giving away a lot more money this season with the Quickfire Challenges...so maybe they blew their budget on that...lol.


So far I don't have a favorite yet...I'll give it another week or so to decide that...haha
 
After watching Top Chef Masters with the god awful host and the awful judges/critics, I am so glad that Padma and Tom are back. Too early for favorites too, I was just glad that woman was eliminated, her ears freaked me out.
 
booooring. I don't think I'll watch this season. There doesn't seem to be one interesting / good looking person on the show. (Although Ash is kinda cute...nice to hear he's on our team.) And there are waaaay too many lesbians. Those brothers are gonna annoy the crap of me. They think they are the shit and they are fugly. Someone needs to educate the cast on what a vice is.

Come on Bravo....bring Top Chef back! TC Masters was crap and now this season is too. You'd think they'd do it right for Las Vegas.
 
I liked the premiere. Padma is looking as beautiful as ever. I'm prolly in the minority but ive never been too into collichio. He's grown in me in recent years though. Gail is just Gail.

I hate the relay race quickfire. I like when they make something.

It seemed like there was 30 people. some looked the same too. I'm also not feelin the brothers. The older one I dislike most. He just seems really uptight and mean. The younger one seemed really angry too. But he's decent looking in his confessionals.

The dishes looked good but I didnt like the judges having to share plates. And what's with all the chefs being from Georgia?
 
the thing I didn't like was that all the Chef's knew all the other chef's pretty much. I feel like that somewhat ruins the competition....but who knows maybe it will actually make for more competition since you're always more competitive iwth your friends.


SOOOO glad that we have Padma, Tom and Gail back....COULD NOT stand the Top Chef Masters host and judges!
 
I'm glad Top Chef is back too. I didn't like Top Chef Masters host or judges and thought it was dull and boring. I didn't watch it after the first show.

As far as Top Chef:Las Vegas goes the twins are cute and so is Ash and the French Guy. We'll see what happens.
 
I am liking this season. Who has a favorite? Mine has to Mattin, there is just something about him that drives me wild.

I have to say the one chef that I am not liking this season is Ashley, the lesbian. The way she acted when they had to do the bachelor/bachelorette party just made me mad. Yeah I get that we gays don't have the right to get married, but that doesn't mean that we have to hate the breeders for it. It just rubbed me the wrong way.
 
^I thought she overreacted about the bachelorette thing. It didnt even make any sense. I wouldnt her to go over the girl who left. I liked her.

I dont like the obnoxious, short, fat guy with black hair. I think he's from New York he is such a douche. I even saw in the season previews him yelling at the chick with cancer about how she is playing for sympathy.
 
I'm glad this week the hispanic guy left. I think he deserved to go.

I'm also glad Jessie left too. She just wasn't cutting it. Pardon the pun. Week after week she was bad.

I think so far the twins have been doing well. I would like to see more shots of the guys shirtless.

I was surprised that they kicked someone off during the quickfire challenge.

Wow, Bryan V. smiled! I don't think I've seen him smile before. He's actually much cuter when he doesn't look so serious all the time. I do like him better than his younger brother though.

Now what's up with all the ceviche this season? We've seen 3 this episode, and 3 or 4 more in previous episodes. I've had it once or twice. It's not THAT good. And Mattin's and Ron's certainly didn't look appetizing.

I'm opposite. I like the younger brother better. It is annoying how he always talking about competing with his brother though. The older one just seems like a conservative Christian for some reason.

I wish they would get chefs that were all at the same level. There are 4 people that are way better than everyone else and are constantly at the top. It's kind of annoying seeing the same people win all the time.

About the Volt. bros.... There are some seriously involuted family dynamics going on there. Bryan is such a boy scout I can envision him wearing a cap with a propeller on it, while Michael plays the bad boy. I like them both, but Michael would be a lot more fun to party with.
 
It's a shame the french guy went home. It seems like the Volt bros are the best chefs on the show this season.
The caliber of chefs this season isn't great.Only a few are really good and the rest are mediocre.
I'd like to see some shots of the brothers shirtless.
 
I can't believe ppl aren't talking more about this season. I've remained hooked, especially since this week was Restaurant Wars. My money on the brothers in the top 3. They have grown on me in a good way
