Do you think that the fact that you are a top or bottom affects how your family and friends percieve you or support you? Would you say that people are more supportive to tops than bottoms?

How would they know and why would I tell them?

lol. Doubt someone like my brother, let alone anyone else in my family, would want to know. lol. Even my friends would kill me haha

You know Ma, that reminds me of last night when I was getting pounded in the ass...

Sorry, this subject does not come up in causal conversation with my family.

I don't think most parents know about the details of their children's sex lives, straight or gay.

eww, why would i discuss my sex life wit my fam? thats a lil too wierd..

Does your family describe to you what they do in bed?

I've read some coming out stories here and there are, few yes, families that ask that.

I think treatment based around the level of femininity over masculinity would be a better thing to enquire about.

Plenty of manly men bottom, people don't pick me for gay and I'm versatile but marginally prefer to bottom. My immediate family know about my sex life, I know about theirs we're fairly open about all that stuff.

Whereas my cousin is a slut and a stereotypical mincing gay (I'm fairly sure he's a top), I know that his promiscuity as well as his general demeanor makes the family think less of him (fair or not).

I can't say as my family or friends know if I'm a top or bottom. I can only remember telling one of my friends, and that's because it came up. I don't think that's information I'd ordinarily volunteer. Not because I'm embarrassed by it, but because I think they don't really want to know. I'm not interested in what they do in the bedroom, so I'm assuming they're not interested in what I do, either.

Anybody recall the scene in "Jeffery" where he's on the phone w/his parents talking about sex?

Seems to me there's a funny exchange along the lines of "(Jeffery's Mom)...Honey are you a top or a bottom?....Do you shave your ass?"

Great movie for you younger guys who aren't up to speed on how AIDS initially took its toll. Yes, it's a serious flick, but LOTS of laughs

I only discuss this with my closest friends or the person I'm in a relationship with.

My family members do not need to know whether or not I'm a top or bottom and I damn sure do not need to know the roles they play in the privacy of their bedrooms. Whenever I'm dealing with family, boundaries about my sexlife are a must.

And then, I don't think they would want to know anyway.

Quoted for truth.

My family doesn't want to know and they don't need to either.

"So, who's playing the woman in your relationship, son?"

my family doesn't want to know, but my friends constantly ask questions. They all know that I'm vers, but only a select few know that I prefer bottoming agressively. Some people I know have assumed from my personality that I top, but they have never actually asked.

fuck this top/bottome shit.

i tell that to anyone who asks.

it's even more full of shit than masculine vs. feminine, which is only slightly more full of shit than "man or woman?"

"Approximately 1 in 20,000 infants is born with enough ambiguity that (gender) assignment becomes a more drawn-out process of multiple tests and intensive education of the parents"

for the innumerate, that's 6 million times a year that parents look at their newborn and say, "wtf?"

If our very bodies can't be black and white with gender, why must we insist our minds do so?
