Is that in Canada or where they fled. Don't you think it is naive to think that life will be peachy and rosy once you leave the life of absolute hopelessness? Have you been there? This is what makes people stronger! When you have to uproot your life to be somewhere that your life will be safe and your family will have a future and you can BELONG... It ain't easy. I don't think you had to go thru this.
 
He is certainly a populist head of state. He just seems to do the most attention grabbing stuff, but in a genuine way. Certainly a billion times better than the guy he defeated in the polls, wotsizname, can't recall...

I've made many offers on Twitter to Canadians to swap the entire Australian Government in exchange for having him as our PM and not one person has accepted. How rude, and I thought Canadians were a polite and accommodating people.

Well Justin better come through tired of Canadian politicians who SAY they are going to do something yet never come through. Justin made a promise and he needs to let Canadians smoke pot legally. I personally want to grow some pot and not have to worry about the cops banging on my front door.

After almost 10 years of Harper, he's a bit busy trying to put the country back together. He has a long time to keep his promise.

How long are Canadians supposed to wait? It just seems like an election trick by Trudeau to get younger voters. He promised to make Pot legal almost one year he's been Prime Minister and still not legal in Canada. Everyone is watching to see if Justin Trudeau is for real or not.

Well put down the bong and listen up.

It isn't a simple process. It doesn't happen by decree.

And part of the process is that Canada has to draft legislation that respects its treaty and legal obligations with respect to all other sovereign states around the entire world. And that is going on right now.

The creation of legislation also requires the alignment of local and provincial laws with Federal law in order to avoid innumerable lawsuits and challenges. That also takes time and is happening right now.

It is really no different than right to die legislation. Both are Acts that have fundamental and sweeping impact across all society and Canada, by our nature, takes a consultative approach in order to try to get it right when we make such significant changes.

And trust me. There are just as many older people over the age of 50 who are eager for the change in laws as younger people.
 
Justin is proving himself here and around the world. It's hard to believe that, just weeks before the election, Justin was in third place behind the NDP (New Democratic Party) and the Conservatives.

He's had his father's big boots to fill, and he's showing that he wears them very well.
 
He's def a reason to move to Canada----but weather still trumps moving---but that may change after Nov 8th----:eek:
