Tori Amos - Doll Posse

Safety pin, of course, cause that's what tori might use.

See how I brought that back around to be on topic? :D
I did see that!

(And I'm glad for it! I have a problem with hijacking. Intentional and otherwise.)

Despite the fact that I won't name a favourite Tori album, I will name a favourite Tori song: iieee.
Love it.

I really love Winter...even though it is apparently, ahem, melodramatic! lol

But I don't really have a favorite. Well, okay, I loved it when she sang Danny Boy in concert. The most haunting rendition I've ever heard, and it actually made me cry.

I've seen her twice in concert, and I think I'll try to catch her again this time around.

lol yeah sorry, I think I used to like Winter when i first got into her, but now I can't get through it.. and the video drives me nuts.

I got a photo with her in Sydney last time she came to Australia, she was amazing. This year, I knew she'd be coming to Australia, but knew I'd be in Japan so thought "oh well, I'll just have to miss her"... well after hearing the new album and the fact that she's coming to Aus with the band there's no way I'm missing it - so I'm umm working a family visit around the concerts :P yeah.... i'm obsessed

Tori is an amazing person. You can't touch her live shows.

And most of her albums are damn near perfect.

American Doll Posse is great. Almost everyone has positive things to say about it.

I love it!!! ADP is way better than SLG, which was more of a concept album than this. the beekeeper imho was a little weak, but enjoy it. This would have been a much better follow up to SW. Its good,

I have only given it a quick listen but its sounds a million times better than 'the beekeeper'... There is only one song on 'The Beekeeper' that I like (the power of orange nickers).

I had her video collection on video tape... but yesterday I went into a music store and there was a dvd of hers in the bargain bin for $11... Fade to red.. which was good... Hey Jupiter, Spark and Past The Mission are my favourite clips of hers.

I think I am one of the only people who doesn't think the strange little girls album was horrible.

My Tori albums ranked from favourite to least are...
1. From The Choirgirl Hotel... totally brilliant still
2. Little Earthquakes
3. Boys For Pele
4. To Venus And Back
5. Under The Pink
6. Scarlets Walk
7. Strange Little Girls
8. The Beekeeper
(I haven't ranked doll posse yet)

I like her new one...definitely better than The Beekeeper (album)...

oh no, definitely not the only one, i've really gotten into SLG in the last couple of weeks - it's really a brilliant album! My favourite tracks are New Age, I'm Not In Love and Happiness is a Warm Gun. I think it's moved up to be in my top 3 Tori albums now!

You got Face to Red cheaper than I paid for a Chinese bootleg copy!](*,)

Anyway my rank is sort of the same but with Under the Pink and Boys for Pele at the bottom cuz I just can't get into these 2 albums, the videos put me off a bit there I think, but I wanna get "enlightened" on the "brilliance" her fans seem to think of the 2.

oh wow you can't get into Pele and Pink? Pele is very hard to get into, but its so rewarding - I"m constantly hearing new things on that album. I think you just have to persevere. I also found that reading about the album and the songs on places like www.hereinmyhead.com really helped as well.

I haven't bought the album yet but I heard some 3 of the tracks already. And I have to say I do like them. I'm really exicted to get my hands on ADP. I think no matter how lame some of her recent albums have been, there are always gems to be found in them. Like in The Beekeeper, I can never say no to the title track, Sweet The Sting , Jamaica Inn, The Power Of Orange Knickers, Martha's Foolish Ginger & of course, the beautiful Parasol.

I totally agree with that, but I don't think I've liked an entire Tori album since TVAB...I'm still not that crazy about ADP apart from a couple of songs, maybe it will grow on me more (always takes me quite some time with Tori stuff)...oh, and FTCH is my fave
