It will be called "American doll posse" and is due for release on April 30th. Following which she is rumoured to be going on a world tour from May 07.

I like one of tori amos songs, its called 'a sorta fairytale'. i heard it on an episode of nip tuck and loved it!
Other then that, i dont really know this singer well...actually never heard of her at all before nip tuck.

Here's the promotional picture that came with the press release:

The European leg of the tour has been announced. It will start in Rome on May 28th and wrap up in early July in the UK. The dates can be found at www.toriamos.com

The Tori community is going crazy over the picture more than the title. Some people hate it, but most seems very exited.

i love the lady. and the pic. she gives you so much room to speculate.

the release date is May 1st.

anyone who is not familiar should check her out. i would recommend starting off with Scarlet's Walk or from the Choirgirl Hotel.

holy hell, that picture and the title have got me so excited - this is going to be completely different to The Beekeeper - old firey Tori is back from the looks of it!!!

promosquad had two clips for the radio single to the album.

one is a country fried blues rock song called Big Wheel in which she says at one part "I am an MILF don't you forget." i love Tori haha.

Bouncing off Clouds is kind of an 80s piano disco wind in your hair song. it has that sad longing feel to it that i love about her songs.

and there is talk of more crazy ecclectic songs. the harpsicord is going to be prominent in some songs.

it seems to be getting better reception than her last album did from her fans. i think it is going to be a real interesting album.

i cain't wait for this bitch. she is one of my idols. love me some tori

Check out "Crucify", "Tear In You Hand", "Girl" and the unreleased song "Siren".

Can't wait for the new album. :)

I really like the new clips. 100009090934 times better than the Beekeeper already!

I'll be damned if "i am an m-i-l-f don't you foget" isn't in my head already.

i'm really disappointed to hear she sings MILF - I always thought she'd be the last person to sing that in a song :(

I haven't heard the clips yet, I'm trying to hold out till when I have the album in my hands, but a lot of fans i know are divided over the songs... some love them but other HATE the country sound of Big Wheel.

I hope its better than the Beekeeper, because that was absolutely terrible. This time i'm going to listen to the songs before I buy the album...

I was sent a copy of this album by a friend who knows someone working at Sony - and after listening for the last week, I can tell you this album is like nothing you've heard Tori do before. Prob the closest she's come is She's Your cocaine - so many guitars!

But there are still songs that have no guitars - Girl Disappearing has the most beautiful strings! and Programmable Soda has strings AND brass!

So far there are only four songs I don't like - Code Red (sounds too much like Evanescence), Secret Spell (blegh, sounds like generic country rock), Roosterspur Bridge (same reason as SS) and Dark Side of the Sun (the chorus makes me cringe). I'm not fussed on Almost Rosey, although the live solo version from her radio program the other day is beautiful.

The rest of the songs are incredible! Body and Soul sounds a bit like dark Goldfrapp (think Slippage/Train), You Can Bring your Dog sounds most like She's Your Cocaine and Mr Bad Man sounds like a 70's TV theme show (I love it so much!). Digital Ghost sounds very Pink Floydish, while Father's Son reminds me of The Doors' 'Riders on the Storm' (and has amazing lyrics).

So yeah, I'd say this album is already one of my favourites, liking it more than Scarlet's Walk and TBK, and is def a return to form for Tori. She hasn't rocked like this in a long time.

You can listen to Big Wheel, Bouncing off Clouds and Yo George on tori's site www.toriamos.com.

Also, an Australian radio show 2007 on JJJ played Big Wheel and Body and Soul, and for the next week you can hear last night's show by streaming from their website. Go to http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/listen/default.htm, then down the page to Programs, and select either the REAL or WM stream of 2007. Body and Soul starts about 2 minutes from the end of the program.

looking forward to her new album!!! i am now still listening to "silent all these years" and "spark" quite often!:)

i love the songs on this album. i am not going to hate on SW (one of Tori's best IMO) and Beekeeper. But, these songs are amazing. i can't wait til i get my copy. i have two copies preordered. one from itunes and one from barnesandnobles. haha.

i think Big Wheel will end up my least favorite off this album.
and i still like that one pretty good.

i personally love Secret Spell. Dark Side of the Sun is a great song. i love the live Roosterspur Bridge. so, no worries from me.

oh yes. i love the energy of this album. i haven't heard all of it. But I have heard a good chunk of it.

I thought I was going to hate You Can Bring Your Dog from the clip. But the full song is great. I didn't like Fat Slut either clip wise, but I warmed up to the full version.

such diversity.

i'm either doing splits and tumbles and rolling around the hood of a jag Tawney Kitean style or in my pink hot shorts and sweatband rollerskating into a different universe ala Xanadu. Of course then there is the dirty gay back alley Body and Soul takes you down. love it. haha. this is why I love this woman.

and dare i say i like the concept of the album. haha.
