Believe me: I can't stand fem on me. But Shirley Manson, Rihanna, etc. stilll make love to my ears. I can appreciate a good-looking talented woman. And a magnificent original beautiful voice.

I know that's the motive for some gay men who like straight men, in the sense that they see it as a challenge.

This thread has come up a thousand times already, so I won't belabor it here, but some gays like straight men because they're straight, period. It's not that it's more of a challenge to get them - in fact, once they're gotten, they're not really straight any more and thus less desirable, which is where the virginity parallel holds up very well. And it's not that they are more masculine, on average, than gay men, although they are. It's just the quality of being straight that's attractive.

Anyway, back to the OP: It sounds like you are commenting on the irony that you want the thing that straight men already have or can get - the opportunity for a conventional life, with marriage and children - while they want what you have and can easily get - sex with men. Did I get that right? If so, well ... yeah, it's ironic, but that's the way life works. Most of us are not 100% happy with what we have, while the people who have what we think we want aren't happy with it. (For example, if you like straight men, you might envy women because they can sleep with them any time they want. And yet, women don't seem particularly content with that option!)
