Starring: Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, Bette Midler, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Debi Mazur, Joanna Gleason, Carrie Fisher, Lynn Whitfield and Cloris Leachman

What's really strange is that the actors in this version are at least 10-15 years older than those in the 1930's play and film.

Unless they've changed the plot significantly, it would be a rather dated story in this day and age.

For it's time, though, it was a groundbreaking play. The Broadway revival a few years ago was also quite good.

It looks like it might be pretty good. I'm glad they took the route of the original play and movie, using only women in the movie. The 50s remake had men and women in the cast, and that kind of ruined the feel and what made the story unique.

After reading about the remake and hating the idea... wow. This actually looks good.

And what a cast!

I'm gonna stick with the original film. It's one of my all time favorites. These remakes never work right.

I don't know what to think here. A part of me is going "hey, this looks alright". But another part of me is very actively yelling "if they fuck this up I will feed everyone but Joanna Gleason to my boyfriend's angry labradoodle".

Also: Was that Ana Gasteyer doing the line about the stove?
