Honestly, this whole debate is ridiculous. Lawmakers need to stop seeing Trans people as sex perverts.

“This is what the conservative movement has devolved into,” Peacock wrote in a blog post published Tuesday, “forcing children to allow adults to examine their genitals out of misplaced fear that transgender kids and adults might commit a hypothetical never-before-seen act of violence or sexual aggression (that would still be against the law with or without transgender protections).”

What do you think about giving Trans children a fine for using the facilities of their gender identification rather than their biological anatomy?

Virginia Lawmakers looking to pass law against Trans Children using bathroom of gender identity.

I read "Conservative" and stopped reading.
Anythings that comes out of their mouth gives me STDs

It is a lie that the law would require inspection of genitals. The question is whether the girls have a right to sexual privacy or must they share the toilets with boys who claim to feel like girls--or vice versa. The trans individuals are not being hurt by being denied their preference. The political correct answer is that the feelings/rights of the huge majority are less important than the feelings/rights of the tiny, tiny minority. I think the great majority of people would agree that girls should not have to share with biologic males. It can be argued both ways. Perhaps they should take a vote of the students.
What will the liberals do when muslim families are upset with girls sharing restrooms and showers with males? Which favored minority trumps the other?
There is no need for inspections. The schools have seen the birth certificates or can require them. Many schools require medical exams.

Those trans kids have a hard enough time being ridiculed by their peers.

What kid is ever going to feel safe in a school where the adults think they are a sexual pervert?
It's a small gesture that does more good than harm.

Someone told me on Facebook the other day that I shouldn't lump all Republican/Conservative politicians together as hateful, yet this is the kind of shit I see from them all the time.

Not just the adults think they are perverts, but many of the other students will as well. The boys will ridicule them and the girls and their parents as well. The announcement that they are transgendered places them far outside the mainstream of their peers and society in general at a time when they are most vulnerable. As adults they can choose whom they associate with, but in school they are stuck where they are and cannot escape a hostile environment. They are too young to make the life altering decision to live as the opposite sex. They should not be encouraged to make their feelings public at that point in their lives.

Should we claim all pitchfork holders are downtrodden now when they're told not to pick on minorities?
Tyranny of the majority is the same thing that saw 6+ million Jewish people killed in WWII.

Well done you for not understanding that the right to punish and exclude people (because they're different) isn't a right.

Bet you say the same thing about gays.

Women do not have the right to exclude men from their showers, dressing rooms and bathrooms?

If conservatives are so worried about protecting women from perverts then why don't they push for legislation making all bathrooms gender neutral? Does anyone really think that making a designated women's bathroom actually makes women safer?

Very few people want gender neutral bathrooms. Only democrats would favor legislation or court decisions IMPOSING gender neutral baths on the people, because a tiny, tiny minority want to use the others baths.

Your second comment oin this thread, both irrelevant attacks. You are, by definition, a troll.

You're invading another conversation and blaming politics again. Not useful, relevant or insightful.

You also seem unable to appreciate that the no rights are being impeded by allowing transex people to use public bathrooms. Your right to be offended doesn't count for anything.

From Takimag:

"But what's the post-gay marriage strategy to keep the port bubbling here in America? Sure, the gay marriage whoop-de-doo served as a distraction from the major issues America faces...but perhaps the media can double down and find an even smaller group to noisily champion. How about...transsexuals, transvestites, trans-whatevers?" January 22, 2014

"Like so many in the topsy-turvy social-justice demimonde, they insist you accept them while they reject everything you represent...and demand the same privileges as you, even though they're really asking for special privileges catering to their specialness." April 7, 2014

Actually, the first comment does. It is the party that always tries to push these ridiculous notions. And I am aware my second comment is not relevant to the topic, but that never stopped you.
