I'm annoyed with that stupid upside down beer funnel tube thing people do at parties. They think they're so cool doing it but it just makes them look like dumb conformists who's desperate to fit in and impress people.

Also people who drink a lot just to brag about how much they drink thinking people will think they're cool for it.

"Firsting" on forums (mostly gaming forums).

Cell phones and texting, not so much the phone itself or the act of texting, but the obsession some people have with them. My niece told me she sent 3,000 texts last month. My eyes bulged when she told me that.

Skinny jeans - ESPECIALLY GUYS THAT SAG SKINNY JEANS. That is the messiest looking shit i've ever seen in my entire life.

I'm with you on this one. I mean, some boys can rock the skinny jeans, but not enough of them...for most boys, it just makes their hips look big, hides the basket, and flattens the ass. What's the point of that?

And then wearing them down around your hips... I always want to walk up to such boys and demand they explain themselves. Don't you realize that you've completely missed the point of skinny jeans? That they look skinny?

My chief complaint right now is the practice of bringing back 80s fashion. And not even the cute 80s fashions, but the yucky boring ones. Like scrunchy boots and big jackets. I lived in the 80s already, I do not wish to live in them again.

agreed on the skinny jeans. there are not enough people who can wear them, let alone wear them properly.

another one is the silly band craze. they are little rubber bands that have different shapes, and people wear them as bracelets, and when they take them off they go back to their original shape. i was with a few friends a couple nights ago and we all went out to eat and one of my friends, who happens to be a 40-something adult, definitely sat there while we were waiting for our table and traded with the hostess... and we cant seem to keep them in stock at work... we just got about 1000 in and in just 2 days we are down to about 400

They just keep getting younger and younger, and stupider and stupider, and more and more crazy. And did I mention ‘devoid of any semblance of talent’?

What an embarrassment. I look at older movies where people had to know how to act, and sing and dance and then I look at today’s “young Hollywood” so-called Celebrities who are famous for… being famous.

Sickening.

I wish the trend of worshiping these false gods would die already.

The first time I saw somebody doing that (since the 80s) was in a supermarket with my friend. The guy was a couple people ahead of us. I was so shocked I exclaimed -- much louder than intended -- "who the fuck brought back popped collars?"

Thankfully he didn't turn around, but I'm sure he heard.

Douchey, grown-out haircuts. This whole "let's let our hair grow out into some sort of shaggy, douchey mess" fad seems to occur every generation since the '70s, and I hate it. It makes me feel old, but I still hate it.


Texting. You're holding a phone in your hand. TALK INTO IT. If I wanted to type a few hundred messages to you a day, i'd use my computer with the nice, big keyboard on it.


American Reality TV shows with the single British judge. It worked for American Idol for about a decade, not fucking stop it; Not every show can be the same way.


Remakes And Reboots. STOP REMAKING OLDER MOVIES!!!!! They've even going to re-boot SPIDER-MAN 2. This is just going too far. MAKE A NEW, ORIGINAL MOVIE WITH NEW CHARACTERS IN IT FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

3-D Movies that require glasses This was cute in the '50s. Now stop it.

I used to do the beer funnel thing back in college. Looking back on it, it was goofy but I was anything but a conformist or deperate to fit in. I had a mohawk at a school filled with 90% preppy types.

Agreed. Anthony Sayers (HGTV's Unsellables) used to be gorgeous, but he grew a fauxhawk for the second season and it looks horrible. Sorry, can't find a photo of him with the fauxhawk. This is how he used to look:
