Another Republican caught with foot in mouth disease, it seems! I guess he must have caught that from George Allen (R-VA)!

From AmericaBlog ...

...
Republican Senator Trent Lott says Bush and GOP don't pay much attention to the war in Iraq. Adds that all Muslims look the same to him. </B>
by John in DC - 9/28/2006 06:04:00 PM

And all Republican bigots look the same to me.
Trent Lott told reporters today that George Bush and GOP Senators barely mentioned Iraq when they met this morning and that they don’t obsess over the war.

When asked if the war was discussed, Lott told reporters that “You're the only ones who obsess on that. We don't and the real people out in the real world don't for the most part."

On the sectarian violence in Iraq, Lott said: “Why do they hate each other? Why do Sunnis kill Shiites? How do they tell the difference? They all look the same to me.”
...

So, I guess Trent would understand the killing if they looked different from each other, just like it is in Mississippi.

Barely mentioned Iraq? It's the most pressing foreign policy issue affecting us today....over a hundred thousand brave men and women are stationed there and risk their lives every day for a policy that is barely discussed with the President? They don't obsess over it,the real world doesn't obsess over it?Only the press?Forget the look the same quote, that's nothing new for Lott....the first outrageous statement is mystifying and contemptible in its own right.Iraq,if it fails, will totally undermine our credibility and leadership in the world, and what's happening now gives me great disgust and distrust towards those in the Bush Administration responsible for this mess, and those in GOP leadership who don't put their feet to the fire regarding Iraq...get a clear strategy,or don't be there in the first place..

It's not just Lott -- it's the entire Yellow Ribbon Republican party. These people lied about the need for war and that makes them animals -- they belong in cages.

Yep. As I said before... 95% of the Republican Party are racists, and the other 5% are closet case pedophiles.

Let's cut the guy some slack. After all, I must confess that all Republicans look the same to me -- old men stuffed in tacky suits with bad comb-overs, red noses from alcohol abuse, and their dicks in the mouths of anyone other than their own wives.

What a loser ...

What's even sadder is how many losers will vote to reelect him in a state like Mississippi... a completely Republican state, I might add... what was that I kept saying about Republican voters?

Oh yeah... 95% of them are racists... the other 5% are closet case peds.

Keep it up, little Rove---keep 'propaganda-catapulting' and clicking your heels and it'll one day come true!

As the following link quotes:

"Repetition does not transform a lie into a truth."—F.D.R.

So I take it you've repudiated Bush & all the Republicans that have taken advantage of Rove's propaganda and the electoral victories it's bought them? And encourage people not to vote for them, any more?

It's interesting, though, that you are comparing me in an unflattering light to someone who's become such a pillar of the Republican Party. :p

It's also interesting that you've chosen to quote a Democratic President.

It might tell you something about the conflict with your loyalties and how misdirected they are.

And I'm sure you were hoping Rove would be indicted, and then sent to prison... but then, somehow... I doubt it. (!)

BTW, nice to see both you and Maltese post on my thread about Mark Foley donating 100% of his campaign funds to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children

Oh, wait... you avoided that thread like the plague... wonder why...

if you might admit the massive problems w/your party, you might smooth over the hurdles that prevents the kind of nicey-nicey outreach so many of you demand in a typical way that speaks of entitlement...

so how 'bout condemning Foley on that thread, and getting in the trenches instead of hiding out here in the safety of threads where calling a spade a spade and using the word 'racist' is considered such a horrendous faux pas thanks to our dear old friend, 'conventional '''''wisdom''''' '?

The harping on the 'Rovianism' of my statements, frankly, is getting a bit tired... not to mention ironic when you consider which party Rove, you and Maltese all affiliate with...

The link provided the FDR quote, as I said and if you'd learn to read.

And as I said, if you learned your history, you'd know that FDR's party affiliation was that of the Democratic Party. In fact he was the longest-serving president in US History. So much so that the Republicans changed the constitution to make it so no one could ever serve more than two terms again.

But, seeing who we got know, looks like the Republicans did us a bit of a favor... although that kinda gets undermined when they then proceed to rig elections that they can't win...

When I had employees that could not get along with their fellow workers, I would send them to Interpersonal Relations class to improve their human relationship skills. Do you think that some JUBBERS might benefit from such classes?

I am n[o]t a racist

And according to ICO, neither is George Allen. Your point...?

Also, how disturbed are you by the racism of so many in your party, non-racist that you are? Does it bother you? Does it make you want to speak out and do something about it?

I think a Democratic congress will benefit personal relationships more than anything.

I think some people just need to be set free from the burden of having to defend the Republicans' actions.

The quickest way to do that, is to elect a Democratic congress in 2006 and a Dem pres in 2008.

Once that happens, the GOP partisans will be less stressed, and the Dems won't have to call them on their fallacies.

Everyone will be happy.

Any classes for that, iman?

if you would learn to read

That implies that assuming I 'learned' to read, that I had time to read everything you utter. Frankly, I have better things to do.

But keep insulting me. It makes you look FABULOUS!

One of the only good parts from the movie Annapolis:

"You know what people from Arkansas' favorite state is? Mississippi. As long as Mississippi still exists, Arkansas won't be the worst state in the union."

I choose which threads in which I participate and to whom I respond. These GOP scandal nonsense threads have never interested me, there's nothing to talk about, but I do wait for someone to say something fallacious or downright stupid. You're keeping me busy.

Maybe this is the problem. Most people that post here do so because they have something to say or want to express themselves on some subject. If someone disagrees, or notices an error, they say so. The conversation is usually constructive and benefits everybody, but if all one does is wait, vulture like, for someone to make an error so that they can swoop in and tell them how stupid they are (and how bright you are) that is not constructive. Even the notorious Alfie always makes a valid point before he launches into his entertaining bluster (usually).

This forum should not be about bolstering ones ego at everybody else's expense, it should be about making a positive contribution that helps everyone, not the negative deathly personal insults you are so fond of.

Proof that you can add

You must be a hoot at parties

It's official - you're nastier than Alfie - will u stop now?

Not sure why the mods allow u to exist

You bring the whole board down with your BS
