Hey Guys! This is my first attempt at a story here at the JUB forums. There is some major talent on these boards. Reading some of the stories here has motivated me to tell a story of my own. Things may start off slow, but I promise the good, juicy parts are coming *|*. But bear with me as I introduce and develop the major players in this story of mine. I hope you all enjoy!

Chapter One – A New Start

I hate long car rides. I can think back to the vacations my family would take when I was a little boy. Being the smallest and youngest of my parents three children, I was always sandwiched between my older twin brothers. The constant bickering, teasing, and lack of personal space got old after awhile. But that was then; this particular car ride wasn’t any of that. This time, it was just me…embarking on a new chapter in my life.

I recently graduated from university, with a bachelor’s degree in pre-law. I graduated in the top percentage of my class. After applying to many law schools, I decided to attend the University of South Carolina located in Columbia, SC. One of my law professors who I was especially close to helped me get a job as a paralegal at a firm there he used to practice at, before he started teaching. The firm, Schuster, Brown and Associates is one of the most sought after practices in the southern states. So needless to say, I was stoked at being given the opportunity to work at such a prestigious law firm.

I had been driving for the past 8 hours straight from my family home in Washington, DC. So needless to say I was dead tired pulling into a gas station outside of the city in Gaston. I walked in and went straight to the restroom to wash some of the sleep out of my eyes. Looking into the mirror, after splashing my face with water I analyzed the person looking back at me. I am about 6’0 even, with black hair and deep blue eyes. I have a deep olive toned skin, which I attribute to my Italian roots. I had a come a long way from the chubby little Italian boy who loved to eat Mama’s pies pasta every chance he got. During college I joined the swim team and had developed quite the body. Nice abs, and chest, along with a nice round ass to match. So I was quite confident in my looks, but not overly cocky. I kept to myself, and was often shy. Unless the topic was something of the legal nature, then it would be hard to shut me up.

On the topic of sexuality I’ve always known I’ve been gay. I’m not out to anyone but I have been attracted to guys for as long as I can remember. Older guys are my usual forte, not that I have any experience with either young or older guys. Believe it or not at 24 years old, I am still a virgin. Well to man to man contact, while man to hand is a different story. I’ve had opportunities to have sex, but never acted on them. I want my first time to be with someone special, someone who I want to spend my life with. I guess you could say that I’m a hopeless romantic. And maybe I am, but I know that not just anyone is going to get into my pants.

After taking care of my needs, I filled up the tank of my car for the remainder of my journey into Columbia. I had rented a one bedroom apartment downtown not too far from the law firm, and campus. My parents and I drove down the previous weekend to get everything situated, so that I only had to bring my remaining clothing items and toiletries. I finally made it to the place I was going to be calling home for the next 3 years. I got everything settled, and started to look around my new home. It finally hit me, that for the first time in 24 years I would finally be living alone. It was a liberating feeling, but at the same time very scary. But none the less, I was extremely excited.

Tomorrow would be my first day of work at the new law firm, and two weeks from now school would be starting back at USC. Nervousness was setting in, but I knew that I could do it. Doubt and nervousness was always something that set in on me in new situations, but those are two emotions that I would have to push to the side. I decided to call my mother to let her know that I made it in safely.

“Hey Mama I’ve made it to Columbia,” I said “Oh Tony my little bambino, I’m glad you called. I was beginning to worry about you. I thought you might have fallen asleep at the wheel.” She said. “No mama I’m fine, I was just getting myself settled into the new place. I’m kind of nervous about all of this.” I told her. “I know Tony but new things are always going to bring those feelings. But you can do it. Just know that both your father and I are extremely proud of you for taking this major step in your life.” She said. “We are always a phone call, car drive, or airplane flight away if you need anything son.” She said. “I know mom, and I thank you and dad for supporting me in my dreams,” I said “I know dad wanted me to continue on like Julian and Gabriel in the family pizza business, but I wanted to branch out and make a name of my own.” I said. “I know papo but you know your father, he is always about continuing family traditions…eh hold on a sec Tony there is someone here who wants to talk to you” my mom said “Hey Unca Tony” an excited little voice said “Hey Bryson, are you being a good boy for Grandma?” I asked my little nephew “I am Unca Tony, Nana and daddy is going to let me help them make a big pizza!” He said “Aw man, that sounds yummy little guy!” I said “Yup it’s going to be yummy yummy! I wish you were here with us. I miss you Unca Tony.” He said “I miss you too little man, I promise you’ll see me soon. I love you.” I sadly said “I love you too Unca Tony! Here’s Nana!” He said as he ran off “Ok Tony, I’m about to go and keep Bryson occupied with a pie. So call me tomorrow after you leave work and fill me in on everything ok?” she said “I will mama, give everyone my love. I love you.” I said “I love you too papo, good night” she said as she hung up the phone.

After talking with her and my little nephew I felt better about the whole situation, and decided to call it a night. I laid out my best suit and hopped in my bed. Tomorrow would be an early morning and I didn’t want to be late for my new job.

Chapter 2 - The First Day

Beep. Beep. I reached over to shut up off the alarm clock. I had a pretty good night’s sleep. I woke feeling refreshed. I hopped up and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower and shave. It was 7:00 and I didn't have to be in the office until 9:00, but I wanted to arrive early. I wanted the chance to get a better bearing with my surrounding areas. I got dressed and looked myself over in the mirror. I adjusted my tie, grabbed my keys and headed out the door. I arrived at the law firms address at about 7:50. The firm itself was located in the National Bank of South Carolina Building on the 17th and 18th floors. I parked my car in the underground garage, and then made my way to the front doors of the building. I checked in with security, who then directed me the elevators with my newly issued building ID card.

As I rode the elevator up, the nervousness I was feeling yesterday set in again. I said a silent prayer as I wasn't the only passenger in the elevator at the time, and finally made it to my floor. I stepped off onto one of the most well decorated and furnished offices I've ever seen. I walked the hall leading up to the receptionist desk, which was lined with portraits of the various partners of the firm. Two in particular caught my attention. The name plate under the first portrait said Mitchell Alexander Brown III, Senior Partner. He was a very handsome older man. Right beside him was another portrait of a man who looked just like the other gentlemen, except 20 years younger. The name plate under this one said Mitchell Alexander Brown IV, associate partner. I thought to myself a father and son law team. From what I could tell from the picture, this man was truly handsome, with classic looks. A strong angular face, with deep brown hair, the most beautiful grey eyes, and full lips. A true work of art.

I was lost in the portraits I didn't hear the receptionist come up behind me. "Hello, may I help you with something?" She asked. Startled I replied "Oh...um Hello my name is Anthony Michael Marchese. I'm supposed to be starting with the firm this morning as a paralegal and assistant." She looked me over and said "Well good morning Anthony, I’m Lisa the lead receptionist and office manager here." She said as she shook my hand "I was expecting you a little later, but I'm glad your early. I can go over things with you before the partners and the rest of the staff gets here." She said as she led me down the hall to a little office around the corner from the receptionist desk. "This is your office Anthony, or can I call you Tony? I have a little brother named Anthony, and we all just call him Tony. You remind me of him a bit." She said. "That's fine Lisa, Tony is good. That what my family calls me." I told her. "Well Tony tell me a little about yourself." She said as she sat on a couch and patted the seat next to her. I went and sat beside her and gave her a brief rundown of myself and she in turn did the same for me. I immediately liked her. She was a pretty woman, probably in her late 20s at the oldest. Blonde hair, blue eyes, just an all around pretty girl.

After introductions she started informing me about the in and ours of the office. She said "Well you've come highly recommended from Mr. Peters or Dr. Peters now. The partners are all very excited to have you working here. It has been a while since in a new blood has started here at the firm. We've had interns in out, but no one concrete. Not since Mr. Brown's son started 6 months ago. He's our newest partner." She said "Well I'm very thankful for Dr. Peters. He has helped me tremendously in my undergrad college education. So will I be assisting all of the partners or just one?" I asked "Well Tony, we have about 20 different partners here at the firm. Each lawyer concentrates on a different area of law. In all actuality all of our paralegals help each of the lawyers whenever needed, but we are trying to give each lawyer their own paralegal that will in turn double as a personal assistant. Which is we're you come in." She said. "Our newest partner the one I mentioned earlier is in need of a paralegal, he actually is one of our senior partner’s sons, and quite the looker if I might add." She winked at me; I nervously replied back "Ok that sounds great." I was hoping she hadn't realized that I was staring at the portrait of the very lawyer she was talking about, in turn giving myself away. One thing I didn't want is to be outed on my first day. "Ok well if you have any questions please feel free to come ask me anything, my desk is at the very front of the office in front of the partner portrait hallway. You will be going upstairs to the partner floor at 10:30 for our Monday morning meeting. You'll be introduced to the rest of the staff, paralegals, and partners. She said as she got up to leave the office. "Just come to my desk about 5 minutes after and I'll walk you up and welcome to Schuster, Brown, and Associates Tony." I replied "Thanks Lisa, I'm glad to be here." She closed my door on the way out.

It was about 9:30 and I heard rumblings outside of my office, but I didn't go out to greet anyone.
I took the time to look around my office, and get my bearings. It was handsomely furnished, and I even had a window to look at. I sat at my desk and just thought about how long I had come to where I was now. Right after high school I graduated and started working at one of my family’s pizzerias and Italian bistro. My great grandparents immigrated from Italy, and set up shop in the Virginia area. They made a name for themselves with their authentic Italian cuisine so they decided to open up a restaurant. The eatery gained notoriety and grew to more stores opening throughout VA and DC areas. Currently Marchese's owns and operates about 20 stores. They are all ran by Dad and uncle. My two older brothers have also started in the family business right after high school, each of them taking on operating stores. It was expected of me to do the same thing. And for a while after high school, I did work with my family. But when I reached my 20th birthday, I decided that food service wasn't where I wanted to spend my life at. Ever since I was little boy I wanted to be a lawyer. So I told my parents that's what I wanted to pursue. Mama was happy about it; she supports me in everything I do. Pops on the other hand wasn't so supportive. After I got accepted to Howard University in DC, he didn't speak to me for a week. But after some talking with mama he finally came around. He gave me his blessing, but deep down I know he wants me back in the Restaurant business with the rest of the family.

I looked at the clock and realized it was 10:00 so I decided to head up to Lisa's desk up at the front. She was just getting off the phone when she saw me coming up the hallway. "You ready?" She asked "As ready as I'll ever be" I replied. We headed to the elevators down the hallway and she pressed the up button to take us to the 18th floor. When we got off, she showed me a huge room floor to ceiling glass paned windows, and a large executive table and chairs in the center of the room. We both sat down and continued our conversation about ourselves from earlier. Other people started arriving and she started introducing me to everyone as they came in. In the middle of our conversation, I realized that I needed to go to the restroom. She showed me wear it was at, and told me to hurry back as we would be starting soon. I had just finished washing and drying my hands when I turned to walk out the door I ran into the firm chest of most handsome man I've ever seen. It was the man from the portrait and I must say that painting did not do this man-god any justice. He stood about 6'4 with nice broad shoulders. He was in a nice fitted suit that was filled out in all the right places. You could tell that he had a nice body, from the way the fabric stretched against his body farm. He had the most beautiful full kissable lips which was surrounded by a nice and neatly trimmed goatee. But the best part of it all was his eyes. Anyone could get lost in this man’s eyes. They were the most beautiful cool grey eyes I had ever seen. This man was walking sex.

After running into each other, I apologized profusely to him. He just looked intently at me and smiled. He had the most perfect, white teeth. He then said "No worries, my friend. It seems we are both in a rush not to be late for the old man’s meeting." He smiled at me again. At this point I feel myself getting hard. He continued "I'm Mitchell Brown, but you can call me Mitch. I'm a lawyer here at the firm. I just started here about 6 months ago. And you are?" He asked as he reached out to shake my hand. I took his hand nervously replied "Hi, I'm Anthony Michael Marchese, but I go by Tony. Today is my first day here, I'm a paralegal." I replied. "Well it was nice meeting you Tony; I look forward to working with you here in the office. He said. I realized that I was still holding his hand, when he looked from my face to our hands. I released it and told him the same and hurried back to the conference room. I had to adjust myself before walking in, and taking my seat.

Right before the meeting started, Mitch walked through the door and took a seat at the opposite side of the table from where I was sitting by a man that was no doubt his father. The meeting went by pretty quick. Current cases were discussed, tasks were given out, and the paralegal schedule was laid out. I did keep noticing that throughout the meeting I would catch Mitch looking in my direction. At one point he even smiled at me. This made me nervous, if chalked it up to it just being all in my mind. I mean this man had to be straight. Towards the end of the meeting I was formerly introduced by Lisa to the rest of the firm. Everyone welcomed me and I told them back that I was glad to be a part of the team. I was then assigned to be Mitch's paralegal. I could feel my face turning a little red as I was told, but thankfully my complexion really hides it well. I looked down at Mitch and he was smiling back at me. I blushed and then looked down and pretended to look down at my notes.

After the meeting ended I was shaking some of the partner’s hands, when I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was Mitch. He said "Hey Tony, I hate to interrupt but could you come to my office after you finish in here. I want to go over some things with you. My office is on the other side of the elevators, and down the hall to the last door on the right." I replied back "I will be there as soon as I grabbed my binder and iPad." He squeezed my shoulder and walked away, which actually made me kind of week in the knees. I don't know what's happening to me but I usually have more self control then this. I quickly grabbed things and followed the directions he gave me. This was a big office, I would have to get used to the layout I thought to myself. I finally found his office, the door was closed. I knocked on it and I heard a voice say "Come In". I opened it and went in. I was stunned at what I saw.

Chapter 3 - Mixed Emotions

There was Mitch, standing with his shirt off. I stopped dead in my tracks. He had the most beautiful sculpted chest and abs I had ever seen. He had perfect brown dime sized nipples, and right between his pecs was a hairy trail that no doubt led to the stuff dreams are made of. He said. "Sorry about that I spilled coffee on my shirt right before you came in. I was in the middle of changing into a clean fresh one when I heard your knock. I'm sorry about flashing you." He grinned. Me still being in a trance looking at this man god standing in front of me finally comprehended what he said and then replied nervously "It's ok, I understand. So what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked trying to keep my composure. He told me to come have a seat in front of his desk. He then proceeded to lean back on the front of his desk while he finished buttoning his shirt.

He said "Well Tony, I just wanted to talk with you about what we would be focusing on as far as cases here at the office. I deal with the bulk of the workers compensation claims that come through the doors. This particular area of law can be quite paper work intensive, so it's going to require you being very thorough and attentive to detail. Is that something you can handle? He asked. I said "Well Mr. Brown..." He interrupted "Call me Mitch." I stammered "Um ok, Mitch. Well I feel I'm more then up to the job. I'm a very organized person; in fact it's kind of a passion of mine. Some people might call it OCD but me I just like for everything to have its place." I replied. He then said as he stood to adjust his shirt and tie "Good. Well I believe you and I will get along just fine then. Here are some files I want you to go over for review tomorrow morning." He said as he handed a stack of file from his side desk. He continued “Please be sure to point out any abnormalities that you see in the files that might point out any negligence on the part of either the client or the company involved." I replied "Yes sir, I'll get right on it" as I got up to leave the office.

Before I could reach the door a pretty and very pregnant blonde woman walked through the door. She gave me a look of disgust then proceeded to approach Mitch. "Hello Mitchell, I thought you were meeting me downstairs, you know I have an OB appointment. You know how I hate waiting." She said with a slightest bit of sarcasm and sweetness. I could tell Mitch was slightly annoyed because he had a look of aggravation on his face before he replied "Give me 5 minutes sweetheart, I have to get Tony situated. By the way, Tony this Rebecca my wife." He said which hit me like a ton of bricks. I knew he was straight but I don't want confirmation so quickly. He continued with that killer smile on his face, as he pointed to Rebecca's stomach "and these are my two little guys. We haven't come up with names yet for them." I replied with a slight grin "Well it's nice to meet you Rebecca. And you too boys". Rebecca looked again with an even more disgusted look and curtly said "Pleasure." And then sat heavily down in the chair. Mitch looked at her rolled his eyes, and then looked at me apologetically and said "Tony I will more than likely be gone for the better part of the rest of the day. Just look over those files for me and we will go over them tomorrow. Be sure to check your e-mail throughout the day, I will be communicating with you through there jus to check on status. If you have any questions you can ask my dad he's actually right next door to my office. Peak your head in before you head back down to your office." He said. I replied "OK Mitch, I'm on it." As I left the office. Before I left I told Rebecca goodbye and nice meeting her again, and she didn't even acknowledge me. As I closed the door I heard Mitch say "Why are you being so spoiled?"

I poked my head into Mitch's dad's office. He again warmly welcomed me to the firm, and told me about all the good things that he heard about me from Dr. Peters. Apparently Dr. Peters and Mr. Brown went to law school together at Columbia University. They both practiced law at different firms, before Mr. Brown started the firm he's in now with another law school buddy. He told me not to hesitate to ask any questions, and that his door was always open. He apparently heard the conversation between Mitch, Lisa and myself and he kindly apologized for his daughter in laws behaviour. I told him it was no problem and then headed back downstairs to my office.

Upon arriving I dove into the files that Mitch had given me. I did so in efforts to take my mind off the sight I saw when I first walked into Mitch's office. I had to keep my emotions under control. Mitch was not only straight, but married, and to top it off had two babies on the way. I was falling for someone who was way out of my league and not even of my orientation.
Before I knew it was time for lunch. Lisa came and knocked on my door and asked if I'd join her at Starbucks down the street. I readily agreed because my stomach was already rumbling. We got to the ground floor of the building and we decided to just walk around the block to Starbucks. After arriving and placing our orders we sat in a corner booth. She began asking me how I was liking it so far. I told her everything was going great so far, I then told her about my meeting with Mitch (leaving out the shirtless part) and meeting his wife. When the subject of Mitch's wife came up, Lisa really let her hair down.
"Just between you and I Tony, Rebecca is a true bitch." she saw the look on my face and continue smiling "Don’t get me wrong, she can be sweet when she is getting what she wants. But tell her no, or that she can't have something is when the harpy lady comes out. And I find very rude for her to act liked that towards you, considering she doesn't even know you." She said. I replied "Well I didn't think anything of it. I just chalked it up to her going through pregnancy hormones." She then said "No it's not that pregnancy hormones, it's just the way she is. Stuck up and rude. Just watch out for her." We finished our lunch and headed back to the office.

When I got back to my desk, I checked my e-mail. I had two e-mails from Mitch, the first one was checking on the status of the papers he gave me. I replied back on the status, and then opened his second e-mail. He was apologizing to me for his wife's behaviour earlier then office. Apparently her behaviour embarrassed him, and he didn't want me to think that he agreed with his wife's treatment of me. I replied back that I accepted his apology and that I would see him in the morning. I finished up my reports and then logged my time into the computer for each case. I packed up my stuff and headed out the door.

It took me about 45 minutes to get home because of traffic, so I was more than ready to relax when I walked in my front door. Despite a few minor hiccups, all in all today was a good day. I got comfortable and decided to call my mom and filled her in on my first day. She was happy for me and told me to keep it up. After talking with her I decided to take nice long hot shower. I got in and started to soap my washcloth and then my body. When I got to my cock, I immediately got hard. The first thought that came to mind was of Mitch shirtless. I wanted to kiss him so badly when I saw him in that state. My thoughts kept more and more erotic as I stroked my cock and tugged on my balls, until I finally shot a huge load onto my shower wall. I caught my breath and rinsed myself off, and climbed out of the shower. I dried off and hopped in bed. I didn't have much of an appetite so I decided to try to get prepared for work day ahead.
I made it up in my mind that Mitch was off limits. I would have to remind myself that I was there to further and advance myself in law. Not to fall in love, especially with a straight man. I began dozing off to these thoughts. Unfortunately the dreams I had contradicted the resolve I made before I fell asleep. I dreamed of Mitch making me his in every way possible.

Welcome to the story forum, ghooktt. I love romance and it sounds as though I am going to get it through Tony. Great beginning. I think you have done very well in developing your characters. Who knows, maybe dreams do come true....:-)

Chapter 4 - Settling In

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my alarm clock. As usual my morning hardness was there, so I decided to just get up and get ready for my day doing my best to ignore it. I didn't want to think about Mitch again. It was early enough that I could go for a quick run before work. I got my running gear on (a tank, gym shorts, and Brooks running shoes) and headed out the door. I decided this would be the perfect time for me to check out the area and get a better feel of my new home. I ran a couple blocks over from where I lived, when I started noticing the houses were getting larger. I thought to myself "One day I will own of these" and kept pushing through my run.

There were quite a few people out running this morning. I was running behind one guy who was shirtless, he was about 15-20 feet ahead of me. I could see the muscles in his back and ass working as he ran. A bullet could bounce off of his ass I thought. I had to keep my emotions in check otherwise I would have boned up if I kept looking. As I got closer I noticed he started to slow down to a light jog, I guess to catch his breath. I finally was just behind him, and my heart just about stopped. It was Mitch!

He noticed me right beside him, and he stopped by a large oak tree, smiled that gorgeous smile of his and said "Tony we have got to stop meeting like this. It seems my shirt is always off when I see you" He chuckled. I tried to catch my breath and then replied with a small laugh "I know it is funny the way I keep finding you half naked." Did I just say that. He laughed and said "Well I love to be naked" then he winked at me. I just about blew a load in my shorts at this point. He continued "My early morning runs are my only time of peace. Between the firm, and Rebecca I really have no time for myself." I noticed when he said Rebecca's name he said it somewhat bitterly. I said to him "Well you might have to get used to having no time to yourself. You have two baby boys on the way. Your free time is about to disappear." I jokingly said. He replied "Ain't that the truth. Well I hope I will have time for this after my sons are born. I love running, it relaxes my mind and gets me into my zone for the day. But I can't wait for the little guys to get here, I'm stoked!" He excitedly proclaimed. I said "Well you seem like you will be a great father. Those boys will have a great role model to up to." He put his muscular arm around my shoulder, and pulled me close to his side. Then said "Thanks Tony! I'll have to let Uncle Tony you baby sit after they are born." He laughed. I told him "Hey I'm game, I love kids." He smiled at me and then said "Well that's good to know."

He continued "So I'm assuming you live nearby? Rebecca and I live a couple of streets down from where we are now." I said "yep I sure do. I live in some converted apartments off stadium road. I actually just got settled in last night." He replied "Well that's cool, you let me know if you need help finding anything around here. I've lived in Columbia area my entire life." I told him "Thanks! I'll keep that in mind".
I looked down at my phone and realized the time. It was getting close to time for me to get back home to get ready for work. I said "Well boss man I'm about to head back to my place I need to shower and get ready to head into the office. I finished up those workers compensation reports you left for me yesterday as well." He replied "It's Mitch Tony, and thanks again for taking care of that for me yesterday. I really do appreciate you taking the bull by the horns and getting things in gear for me. I'm looking forward to looking over the reports. I will see you in about an hour or two buddy." He said as he squeezed my shoulder and headed in the direction of his house I assumed. I on the other hand couldn't get home fast enough. I was ready to burst a huge load. I sprinted home, stripped and did just that. Of course with thoughts of a Mitch going through my mind. I couldn't believe that he winked at me when he said he loved to be naked. Was he coming onto me? And the constant touching. I mean I definitely didn't mind it, but most guys wouldn't hug another guy in short runners shorts, and shirtless for that matter. I mean this man was married, with two kids! He was straight! Maybe I'm just looking into this too much. I definitely have a crush on him, but it could be nothing more than that, just a crush. I couldn't help but also notice his reaction to saying Rebecca's name. I thought there is more to that subject then it seems, even if he is straight. I pushed the thoughts to the back of mine, and started to get ready for my second day of work.

I got to work, and stopped by Lisa's desk to say hello. She told me good morning, then she gave me a list of things I needed to look over. I noticed that there were cases from other partners beside Mitch but ought nothing of it. I figured they just wanted to test me out to see how well I would handle various areas of law practice. I welcomed the challenge because as of right now, I really am not sure what area of law I want to specialize in. I headed to my office to start my day. I e-mailed copies of my reports that Mitch gave me yesterday back to him, and the I dove into my new assignments. I wanted to make a good impression on the other partners, so I made sure that all cases were thoroughly noted and promptly delivered.

Throughout the day Mitch would e-mail me asking how things were going, and I replied that they were going well. At about 2:30 I received an e-mail to come by his office at 3. I wondered what he wanted, but figured it was about the report sine-mailed to him. As 3:00 got closer I bookmarked my current work, and then headed upstairs to his office. His door was shut, so I knocked. I heard him say "Come In" so I opened the door and went it. He was looking at some notes on his desk, and looked up at me and smiled. He has to quit doing that I thought. He said "Tony it's good to see you. And look I actually have a shirt on." He chuckled. I laughed and said "Hey what the fun in that?!" Oh my god, I can't believe I just said that. He just chuckled and said "Sorry to disappoint you." He winked at me and continued "I was just looking over these workers compensation reports you emailed me and I want to tell you thanks so much. You really are going to be an asset to me. I didn't even have to go back and do any corrections. The only thing I have to do is sign off on these claims, and we are set. You’re going to be one hell of a lawyer one day!" He exclaimed. I smiled from ear to ear after hearing his praises and told him "Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that I was as thorough as possible. Plus it's kind of my job to make your life easier." I said. He replied back "Well you sure are making it easy for me. But hey before you go I wanted ask you something if I'm not being to forward?" I thought "Oh God, I hope he isn't going to ask me if I'm gay", I said back "Ok cool, Shoot." He asked "I was just curious if you would like to be my running partner in the morning, considering we live in the same general area? I replied back "That would be fantastic!" I hoped I didn't sound to enthusiastic, then continued "so where do you want to meet at, and what time?" He replied back "Lets meet at 6:30 since the sun will be somewhat up by then. We'll meet at the old oak tree we were talking at this morning." I told him that sounded great and that I was looking forward to it. He said "Ok then Great! See you in the morning partner!"

I went back to my office and finished up my remaining reports from the other partners. 5:00 was fastly approaching, so I decided to stay a little later to avoid the traffic jams that always happened after getting off work. At about 5:30 I heard a woman yelling and shouting, so I decided to go and investigate. As I got to the front of the firm, I saw Rebecca yelling at Lisa who was sitting calmly behind her desk just smiling. Apparently Mitch had a last minute appointment that showed up, and Rebecca wasn't too happy about waiting again. He was supposed be taking her out to some fancy Restaurant for dinner. And when Lisa told her he had a client, she wasn't too happy about that. So she decided to take it out on Rebecca, who I can tell was just about at her breaking point with Rebecca's attitude. Lisa saw me coming, smiled and said, "Well good afternoon Tony" I replied back "Hey Lisa, is everything ok?". At this point Rebecca looked at me with daggers and said "No it's not ok! Why aren't you helping my husband? Are you not his helper or servant or something? Because of your lack of work ethic, he had to take a last minute meeting! Why don't you make yourself useful and see if he's done." It took everything I had not to snap on this troll of a woman, I didn't want to lose my job on the second day. So I replied "Sure Rebecca, I'll go check and see if he's done yet." As I walked away from her. I heard say before I got to the elevator "Good help is so hard to find now a days. I don't know where my father in law finds you people at." I turned around to go back and give her a piece of my mind Italian style, but I saw Lisa mouth "GO" so I hopped on the elevator and headed to Mitch's office.

When I got there both Mitch, his father, and another lawyer named Francine (she worked in family law) was headed out of Mitch's office. I heard her say we will discuss this later on gentlemen after the births. I thought to myself what was that all about. Mitch saw me coming and started smiling, but after he realized I wasn't smiling back he asked "Is everything okay Tony?" I replied "No it's not, but I'll be ok. Rebecca is waiting for you downstairs and she isn't too happy. Mitch's dad looked at me and asked "She wasn't causing a scene was she?" I then related my story back to him and he nor Mitch didn't look to pleased. Mitch again apologized for his wife's behaviour. His father said "You have to get her under control, I will not have her treating my employees in this manner." Mitch nodded in the affirmative and said "OK dad, let's head down before this gets any worse."

We got on the elevator and headed down to the main floor of the office. When the doors opened, there was Rebecca standing right at the doors. She said "Well it's about damn time! I have been waiting for 30 minutes for you. You know I hate waiting. I had to send your servant boy to come find you..." At this point Mr. Brown stepped in, cut her off and said "Rebecca, I will not have you degrading my employees in this manner. You are a guest in my office, you don't own anything in here, nor do any of my employees work for you! So you will treat them with respect, am I clear? She just looked at him with a blank stare, then looked at Mitch and said "Come on now, I will not be treated like this!" She then pulled him into the elevator. I looked in Mitch's face as the doors close and he looked so sad, and yet angry at the same time. I felt so bad for him. When the doors closed Mr. Brown said to me "I again want to apologize for my daughter in laws behaviour. She had no right to talk to nor treat you in the manner that she did. I hope you won't hold this against the firm for her behaviour." I replied back "Apology accepted. And no I won't hold it against the firm at all." He then squeezed my shoulder and headed back up to his office.

I walked past Lisa's desk and she said "Told ya, a true bitch." I laughed and went to get my things to head home for the day. Traffic wasn't too bad, since most of the rush hour had already past. I stopped at the Publix that wasn't too far from my apartment to get a bottle of wine. Tonight would definitely be one of those nights. I got home warmed up some dinner and sat back with my wine and relaxed with my mind. As usual my mind was filled with the events of the day. Mainly my run with Mitch this morning, and that Bitch of a wife of his this afternoon. I just couldn't understand how someone so sweet and kind, could end up with such a mean spirited person. In my opinion, the two were polar opposites. But besides that, I guess you can't control who you fall for. Considering I'm in a predicament of my own, with me falling for Mitch. And what were Mitch, his father, and Francine meeting about today? She mentioned births which I thought was weird, but hey they may have been talking about a current clients case. I decided to turn in for the night before my mind got the best of me, I had an early morning ahead of me, one that included me spending time with Mitch.

Another great chapter, Grant. Sounds like there may be trouble brewing for Rebecca. Tony was wise not to interfere with her tantrum. Nice to see the partners and firm stand behind their emplyees.

One side note: I was stationed at Ft. Jackson during my second 8 weeks in the army. Then last night I began reading your story about Columbia. Also, lately I have been reading through some of the letters I wrote home during that time. While there, I would go into town to the USO almost every night I could get a pass. One of the volunteers working there on the weekends was a young man who was studying law at the University. We became good friends and worked together on many projects. However, his name wasn't Mitch, it was Jim and he later became one of the prominent attorneys there in Columbia. So you can see this story of yours is going to have much more meaning to me even though there was no romance between Jim and I. Still, what a coincidence... Looking forward to the next chapter.

Craiger, I'm glad you are enjoying my story. And I'm also glad I was able to bring up some old forgotten good memories. Columbia is a great city, I've been here for a while now. But anyway thanks for sharing, and here is the next the chapter. Enjoy!

Chapter 5 - A Sudden Trip

I tossed and turned the whole night. I guess out of nervousness for my run with Mitch the next morning. The little bit of sleep that I did get happened right before my alarm went off. I laid there for a bit after I woke up, with a million questions and thoughts going through my mind. I don't know why I was so spent on this man. All throughout college I ran to many attractive guys, who definitely had potential. But none of them had invaded my mind like Mitch had. The sad thing is I have only known him for 3 days. Although when I'm around him I get nervous I feel as if I was meant to be in his company. He makes me feel safe in a way.

I decided to get up and get ready for my run. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and combed my hair. Although I was going for a run,
I wanted to look somewhat presentable. I got my running gear on and headed to our designated meet up spot. I was a little early so I decided to do some stretches as I waited for Mitch. I was in the middle of squatting down stretching my legs when I looked up into the crotch of a shirtless man. A voice said "Looking good Tony." I looked further up and realized it was Mitch! Looking down at me smiling! I sputtered "Um...uh thanks. I was just doing some stretches." I realized I was still at eye level with Mitch's massive bulge. I got up quickly and he laughed. He said "I decided to wear my normal outfit, you know me being shirtless. I figured hell I might as well he's seen without a shirt more then with a shirt." He laughed, then said in a somewhat flirtatious but joking tone "I hope you like." Before I knew it I said "I sure do." He laughed and pulled me into his side and said "Good, let's get our run in".

We started out a brisk pace, which I was grateful for. I didn't want to get to winded at the very beginning of our run. It was actually nice, as we ran by certain places he would tell me a little about them. A brief history if you will. About 20 minutes into our workout, he slowed his pace to a light jog. He said "Tony I really want to apologize to you for my wife's behaviour, it was completely unacceptable." I replied "No Mitch it's fine, I understand. She's pregnant and she's under a lot of stress and pressure with carrying two babies." He then said "Tony to be honest it's not fine. Although my wife is 8 months pregnant her attitude would be the same if she wasn't pregnant at all, she can be a very hateful person at times. Very spoiled." Before I knew it I found myself saying "Well why are you with her then? Wait Mitch that was way out of line, now it's my turn to apologize." At that point he just stopped and looked me in the eyes. He moved closer to my face and said "To be honest Tony, I am not sure. But there is no need to apologize. I've been asking myself this for the past 4 years of my life." He said. We then continued running, both of deep in thought not saying much more after that.

We rounded the corner onto a street with some very nice updated colonial style homes. He said ".This is the street I live on. When we get around the curb I'll show you my house." As we got closer to the curb I started to see flashing lights. I said "Mitch do you see that?" He was fidgeting with his phone, and said "No, what?" Then he broke off into a run and I quickly followed. Apparently the light that I saw was an ambulance, and it was in Mitch's front yard. When I finally caught up to him Rebecca was being wheeled out onto a stretcher. Apparently she had gone into labor. She had called 911 but not Mitch. I could see the look on Mitch's face, it was one of panic and fear as he talked to the EMS workers. I walked over to Mitch, but kept my distance not wanting to invade his space. The EMS workers said that Rebecca would be fine, but they would need him to drive behind the ambulance. As they would need room to work on her. They loaded Rebecca into the back of the ambulance, as Mitch walked over to her. He reached for her hand, and said "Everything will be alright, I'll be right behind you." She pulled her hand back almost in recoil and said "I'm fine, I'll see you there." Then they shut the doors.
Mitch looked as if he lost his puppy. I walked up to him and put my arm on his shoulder and said "Everything will be fine. Why don't you grab a shirt and I'll drive you to the hospital." He said "No I can't ask you to do that Tony." I replied back "No questions, I'm driving you. You are in no condition to drive. Now go inside and get a shirt so we can get to the hospital." He then took off into the house to get a shirt. He was out in a flash, he tossed some keys to me and said "We'll take the Rover, it already has the car seats in the back." So I walked over to the SUV and hopped into the driver side, while he walked to the passenger and got in. I backed out of the drive way and was on my way to the hospital. I had to get directions from Mitch as I wasn't familiar with the part of town we were going in yet.
As we were driving I had my hand on the arm rest in between the seats. I felt a hand on top of mind, which then in turned squeezed it. I looked down at it and then at Mitch, who then said "Thank You for doing this for me. I really don't know what to think right now, but I'm glad you are with me at this moment. For some reason, you are actually calming me down. I just can't put my finger on it. But thank you for being here, and for being you. " I didn't know how to respond to what he just said, so I said "Anytime Mitch, that's what friends are for." Oddly, he left his hand on top of mind until we got to the hospital. When we arrived to the emergency room, Mitch hopped out before I could even stop the car. I found a park and headed on in.

When I got in Mitch was following one of the orderlies to the back. He spotted me and said "Tony call my dad and let him know where we are. He should be at the office by now." And then he disappeared behind two double swinging doors. I took out my iPhone to call the law firm office. After a couple rings Lisa picked up the phone "Schuster, Brown and Associates, this is Lisa speaking. How can I help you?" I replied "Lisa it's me Tony is Mr. Brown in?" She said "He just walked in Tony. Is everything alright?" I then told her what happened this morning, and she hurriedly went and informed Mr. Brown. She came back to the phone and asked what hospital we were at, and for me to stay there win Mitch until he got there. I told her I would and that I would see her later on in the day.

About 20 minutes later Mr. Brown walked into the emergency waiting room. He saw me and came over to where I was sitting. He sat beside me and said "Tony thank you for getting my son here safely. I know he was in no condition to drive." I told him "No problem Mr. Brown, I figured that those babies need their dad, and I figured he would be no use to them hurt or even worse dead because of a traffic accident." He chuckled and said "Right you are son, right you are." I then said "Well I guess I better head home to shower and change to get to the office. I drove Mitch's Range Rover up here, so I'll just call a cab to get a lift back." As I handed him the keys. He then said "Nonsense son. You take Mitch's car home, shower and change and you come back up here to the hospital." I was slightly startled and he noticed it, chuckled and said " I want you to be the first to meet my new grandsons. That paperwork will be there when we get back. Now hurry back". I laughed and told him ok, and that I'd be right back.

I rushed out of the hospital and went straight home to shower and change. I was so happy for Mitch. He was about to become father to two beautiful baby boys. But at the same time I felt sorry for him, because he had to share parenting responsibilities with someone who cared about themselves more than anyone else. I pulled into my apartment and rushed in to shower and change. I was in and out in about 30 minutes and back on my way to the hospital. When I got back a nurse met me at the receptionist desk. She told me that she was to bring me back as soon as I got there. She told me to follow her, and I headed for the double doors with her right beside me, to show me where to go.

We got to the room and I saw through the window a Kodak moment. Mitch was standing up holding one of his two baby boys, while his father was holding the other. He looked like he was so in love, and I thought to myself those are two lucky little boys. He looked up from his newborn son, and saw me looking in at them. He gave me what seemed like a longing look, smile and winked at me, and then looked back down at his son. I looked over at Rebecca, and she just seemed like she was in a daze. She was communicating with the doctor with her usual attitude but not really coherent. I figured it must be the drugs. I didn't want to intrude anymore, and started to walk away when Mr. Brown caught sight of me, and waved me in. Mitch walked in my direction, and said "Mitchell Alexander Brown V I would like you to meet your Uncle Tony." He said as he placed the baby boy into my arms. I looked down into his face and saw the most beautiful baby boy. He looked just like his father. At the same moment Mr. Brown walked up and placed his grandson in his father’s arms, and then Mitch said "and now Aiden Michael Brown I would like for you to meet your Uncle Tony." He said as he brought his other new born son beside me. He was just as beautiful as his brother. Both of them the spitting image of their father. I looked up and Mitch was looking at me, I could see something different in those beautiful grey eyes of his that I hadn't seen before. I

I looked over at Rebecca and she had an obvious look of hatred and disgust on her face. So I decided to walk over and place her son into her arms. When I got over to do so, she look at me and said "No I'm fine, you keep him." I thought this was very odd, but held onto the baby. Apparently I wasn't the only one who thought it strange because after that and everybody's eyes were on Rebecca. I walked over to Mr. Brown and handed him his new grandson. He winked at me and told me to hold on before I left. I waited out in the hall for him until he came out. He walked up to me and said "Well son thank you for being here. I see your a new uncle. Which makes you one of my 2nd son." He laughed, I blushed and said "it looks like it, I was kind of shocked when Mitch introduced me the boys as their Uncle." He replied back "Don't be. Mitch was an only child, and he obviously has become quite close with you over these past couple of days. I'm just glad you were here for him this morning." I told him no problem, and that I was headed to the office. He told me it was no rush, but thanked me for being so diligent. He said that he would see me later on at the office. I waved bye to Mitch in the window, he had a look of sadness in his eyes for a split second but forced a smile and waved at me. I left Mr. Brown with the keys and told him I was going to catch a cab, he said it wasn't necessary. But since I insisted that I wanted to leave Mitch with his car, he pulled a 50.00 bill out of his wallet and handed it to me. And said "it's for the cab." I started to refuse it but he shushed me, and put the folded note in my front shirt pocket and smiled. He told me would see me later this afternoon, and then he walked back into the room with his son and his new family. I walked to the front of the hospital and hailed a cab. I told him where I was going and hopped in. My mind was running a million miles a minute. I really didn't know what to think at this point. From the conversation during the run, the one in the car, the look Mitch gave me when he was holding his son, the look he gave me when I was holding his son, the list goes on and on. But what stood out the most to me was Rebecca's behaviour. I found it extremely odd, when I went to give her newborn son that she refused to hold him. I didn't know what to think of that. Most mothers want to hold their child after birth if they are able. I tried to put all of these thoughts out of mind as the cab pulled up to my apartment, I paid him and headed upstairs to freshen up before I went into the office.

This is getting better and better. Uncle Tony will have to keep his promise of baby sitting now. I just wonder how much more problem Rebecca will be. Obviously she doesn't have the inclination to be a mother, but, will she give it a try? I doubt it.

Chapter 6 - The Letter

The rest of the week seemed to fly by. I thought about going up to the hospital a couple of times, but decided against it. I wanted to give Mitch and his new family space. I more so wanted to give Rebecca space. I came to the conclusion that her behaviour in the room was because of my presence there. I mean she just gave birth, and a complete stranger was in her room holding one of her two sons not even an hour later. Although I did want to see Mitch and those beautiful boys again, I made myself focus on my work. With Mitch being gone, I was basically passed around among the partners. It didn't matter which lawyer I was placed with, I seemed to excel in my task given.

It had been three days since Rebecca gave birth to the boys. It was Friday, the end of my first week at the firm. I was getting prepared to leave the office, when Mr. Brown stopped me. "Headed home Uncle Tony?" He laughed. I chuckled, then replied back "Yes sir. It's been a long but great week." He put his hand on my shoulder, then said "Well I'm very appreciative the work you've been doing around here. The partners can't seem to stop saying good things about you. I knew I made the right choice about hiring you, when Peters called me. Keep up the good work." I said "Thank you sir. And how are those new grand babies of yours?" He said "they are doing great! They should be going home tomorrow. Rebecca was released yesterday, but they want to keep the boys a little longer just to make sure everything is ok before releasing them. Why don't you head up to see them?" I said "I've been thinking about it, but I didn't want to intrude." He squeezed my shoulder and said "Nonsense! Go see those boys. As a matter fact, I'm making that a part of your job this evening." He laughed and winked at me and then said "Make sure you go see them. I'll be away at Hilton Head this weekend at an golf tournament. But if you need anything just call." He then squeezed my shoulder and walked away.
I guess I'm going to the hospital this evening I thought to myself with a smile. I gathered my things and headed to the elevator. After getting in my car, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I looked at it and saw it was Mitch. I answered "Hey Mitch, how are the boys?" He said solemnly "Hey Tony, they are great. Um I was just curious, but where are you?" I was kind of startled by him asking where I was but I replied "I'm just leaving the office. What's up, do you need anything?" He then said, "I'm at my house, can you come by?" I said "Sure, when do you want me to come by?" He said " now if possible. But if you’re busy, it's fine. I don't want to take up your time." I said back "No it's fine, I'm going to go home and change, then I'll be right over. Do you need me to bring you anything?" He replied in a low voice " No, just bring yourself." I didn't know how to respond to that statement so I said "OK, I'll see you in a bit." I didn't know what to think as I made the drive to Mitch's house. I really didn't want to go there if Rebecca was going to be home. I hoped that she wasn't there, maybe she was visiting the boys at the hospital.

When I got there, I got out and went to the front door. I knocked but no one answered. I stood at the door for about 2-3 minutes and continued to knock. I decided to call Mitch, I thought maybe something happened at the hospital and he had to leave suddenly. I dialled his number and he answered "Are you here yet?" I said "Yeah I am, I've been knocking for a while now." He replied " Sorry, the door is open. Just come in, I'm upstairs in the twins nursery." I hung up and went in. I felt very awkward considering this was my first time entering Mitch's house. I went upstairs and called out Mitch's name. He said "In here!" I followed his voice to a room at the end of the hallway.

I walked in to the sight of Mitch in a rocking chair between two cribs. He looked as if he'd been crying. I asked " Is everything ok Mitch?" He sniffled then said "No, no it's not. I brought Rebecca home yesterday. Everything seemed fine...I mean she was her usual moody self, but nothing out of the usual. She told me to go visit the boys, she wanted to get some rest. I told her to call me if she needed me, and she said ok. I left to visit the boys, and I just had this strange feeling that something was off, but I just brushed it off. I saw my boys, then decided to come back to check on Rebecca. This letter was on the armoire in our bedroom." He said as he handed me the letter. I read the letter and could not believe my eyes.

It read "I can't do this anymore. This is not the life I want to live. I'm not giving up anything else for anyone anymore. I refuse to be second to anyone. And I know with these babies here, you'll be more occupied with them. What about my needs?! Where does that leave me?! I gave you two sons, now I'm taking something for me. I've taken all the money in our joint account. You’re a lawyer, you'll make more money. But as for seeing me again...forget it. I want nothing more to do with you, or them. I want a divorce."

Rebecca had left. She took his money and left him with two newborn boys. I just couldn't fathom someone being so selfish. How could a mother abandoned her two children like that? Two newborn babies at that! I just couldn't believe that someone could be so selfish. And I can only imagine how Mitch is feeling right now. I looked up from the letter and moved in his direction. I went and kneeled down in front of him and said "Mitch I know this is rough on you, I'm so sorry." He looked at me with tears streaming down his face and said "I don't know what I'm going to do. I can't do this alone...those beautiful boys deserve better than this. I..." I reached up and put my fingers to his lips and said "Don't do this Mitch, don't doubt yourself. I know it's scary, but you can do this." I looked into his eyes and said "You won't be alone. I'll help you out until you get on your feet with this." He put his hands on my shoulders and said "Tony, I can't ask you to do that, it's too much. I said back "You didn't ask, I offered. I love kids, and I can show you the ends and outs of everything you need to know. I'm here for you man." He hugged me and said "Thank you Tony. I really don't know what I would be doing without you right now. I'm just afraid." I hugged him back and said "I know it's scary but you can do it.

I got up and told Mitch to call his dad. He needed his father to know about what was going on with Rebecca. While Mitch called his dad I started looking around the nursery to see if there was anything missing that might be needed. After doing a quick inventory, I saw that everything was pretty well stocked. As Mitch was telling his father of the events I could hear just about every word his father was saying and it wasn't pretty. Mitch then told his dad that I was there. I heard him say "Good. He's exactly what you need right now. You two call me if you need anything. I'm headed to Hilton Head. I love you son." Mitch said his goodbyes and got off the phone. He came beside me and said "I didn't realize how unprepared I was going to be for all of this." I hugged his side, smiled and said "Everything will be fine, Uncle Tony is here!" He laughed and hugged me back. He then looked into my eyes, and for a split second I felt he was going to kiss me. He nervously backed away and said "Thank you for being here for me Tony. I mean we have barely known each other a full week, but you have become one of my closest friends." I replied back "The feeling is mutual my friend. I feel the same way."

We headed downstairs, and he asked me "Would you like a drink Tony?". I told him "No, I'm about to head home. I want out of this monkey suit. He laughed, but looked sad at my statement at the same time. He then said "Well if it's not too much, I want you to come with me tomorrow to get the boys. The doctors should be releasing them at 9:30AM." I told him "No problem, I will be here bright and early." He then came up to me and pulled me into another hug, except this time his hand was above my waist instead of on my back and said "I want to thank you again for everything you've done for me. I know it's a lot, but I'm so thankful that you are the person you are. You truly have a beautiful soul." He said as he looked into my eyes. I blushed and "Well thank you Mitch, I just want to do the right thing. If I was in your shoes I'd want someone to help me out sometimes too." He smiled and said "Well I'm grateful for your character."

I headed out after that, promising Mitch that I'd be there at about 8:30. As I drove home, I couldn't believe everything that has happened since Monday. I couldn't believe Rebecca! How could someone be so selfish?! Those poor babies will never know their mother because of her selfishness. Another thing that was weighing heavy on my mind is Mitch. He is sending me so many signals right now, I Don’t know what to think. He hugged and touched me so many times tonight, my senses were on overload. It took everything I had not to pop a bone when he hugged me last. I finally pulled into my apartment. I went in and got ready for bed straight away. Tomorrow would be a long and tiresome day. I was ready for it though, if it meant helping Mitch.

Maybe it's sad to say, but I'm glad Rebecca is gone and has cut the ties so quickly. Other than Tony, it's probably the best thing for Mitch and the boys. Uncle Tony will have some changes to make now that he has committed himself to the three Brown boys...Great chapter, Grant.

I hope you keep up with this great story. I lost 2 hours of my 8 hour sleep tonight cause I was hooked on this. :-)

I love your story. I hope that you keep it up. It has brought back some memories.
I myself raised four children that their Mom's didn't want. Thye dropped them off at
my house as infants and never came back. So I can relate to parts. Plus I have been so close
so many times to one that I was falling for but knew I couldn't have. I look forward to the next
chapter. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all the comments guys! I'm glad I'm able to bring enjoyment and entertainment to you with my little fantasy. Your comments keep me going. And Lake I really appreciate you telling me that! I love both your stories "Make Mine to Go" and "Not What I Thought Escape Was". Your stories along with a few others was the reason I thought to share this story with you all. I have a few more stories I've been working on for quite some time. But this one is the one that has touched me the most. So I hope you all continue to enjoy it.

Chapter 7 - Bringing Home the Brown Boys

I woke up before my alarm clock sounded the following morning. I slept somewhat peacefully, but still felt I could use a couple of more hours after all the emotional stress I went through this past week. I slowly got up and worked my way to the bathroom so I could get myself ready for the day. I got dressed and headed out the door. I had enough time to stop at Starbucks, to grab a coffee and pastry. I decided to get Mitch something as well while I was there. I pulled up to his house just as he was walking out the door to his Range Rover. I got out the car with the Starbucks and he walked in my direction.

He said "Good Morning Tony!" As he pulled me into a nice hug. For some reason he held a little longer than normal. I responded back "Good Morning buddy, I brought you some coffee and pastries." His eyes lit up who he saw the steaming mug and he said "Thanks! Let me lock up the house. Then we can go get our boys!" He said with sparkling eyes. I walked over to his car as he ran to lock up the house. I couldn't believe he called them "Our boys". I climbed into the passenger side of the SUV. Mitch walked down the front steps beaming and got into the car.

The ride to the hospital was quiet, neither of us were saying much. I guess we were both feeling the same thing, nervous. At one point at a stop light, I felt Mitch's hand next to mine on the center armrest console. His pinkie finger was stroking mine. I looked over at him and smiled, which made me a little weak. I thought nothing more of it, and just chalked it up to him being nervous. We finally made it to the hospital. Mitch got out and so did I. We headed into the hospital side by side up to the nursery.

When we arrived to the nursery check in station, Mitch told him who we were and we both had to show our IDs. The nurse then unlocked the door, and we walked backed to the viewing room. When we walked in one of the boys, was actually being held by one of the neonatal nurses. He was causing quite the fuss. I walked over to him, and ask "Which one was she holding?" She replied "I'm holding Aiden right now, he has been quite the firecracker this morning. His brother Mitchell has been sleep for the most of the morning. But not him!" She said with a chuckle, then she asked "Would you like to hold him?" I looked at Mitch who was over by his other sleeping son and he smiled and nodded. I then took the fussy baby out of the nurses arms and started cooing to him. He stopped crying and looked up at me. I grabbed his little hand, and he instinctively grabbed onto my finger and then cooed. At that moment my heart went directly to this beautiful little boy.

The nurse then said "Well I'll be! This little one has been fussy since I started my shift this morning. I guess he just wanted his daddy!" She said then laughed. I smiled and looked up, and Mitch was holding little Mitch beaming at me. I didn't know if he was beaming because he was holding his firstborn son, or if it was because of the statement that the nurse just made. I started to correct her, but then Mitch walked up and stood beside me with little Mitch in tow. The nurse looked at the boys then at Mitch. A look of confusion came across her face. She looked at me then said "I'm sorry I thought you were the boy’s father." I smiled and was about to speak, when Mitch cut me off and said "Its fine, Tony is a very close friend of mine. I guess with him being around so much the boys will look at him being like a father to them." He smiled at me, and I blushed. The nurse smiled and said, "That's great! A young boy can never have enough male figures in his life to keep him on track. But where is the boy’s mother? I need to go over a couple things with her about feedings, changing, etc.

At that statement, Mitch had a look of anger across his face. He then solemnly said "She left me yesterday. It's just the boys and me now." And he gave her a brief rundown of the situation. I looked over at him and he I saw that his eyes were watering. The nurse then said "What kind of woman would do such a thing?! To leave these two innocent boys without their mother! And let alone you!" She said with a laugh as she looked Mitch up and down, which caused Mitch to let out a little laugh. She then looked over at me and said "Well I'm going to entrust you with this information." And she then went down a check list of things that we needed to make sure was done. Since the twins mother wasn't there to breast feed them she recommended a couple of formulas to substitute. By the end I was somewhat overwhelmed but I knew I had to be there for Mitch and these beautiful boys. After she finished she then said "Now I'm going to document in the twins files that I released the twins to the two of you. I don't want this to come back and bite you guys if that harpy of a woman decides to come back for these boys. As far as I'm concerned she should have nothing to do with these boys!" She then told us to wait outside as she and a couple of the other nurses got the boys ready.

Mitch and I walked outside the nursery, and he put his arm around my shoulder. He then said "Thank you for being here with me Tony. You have made this so much easier on me. I would be a wreck if I had to take these babies home alone. I looked at him and said "I wouldn't be any other place but here right now. Those beautiful need their father to be at his best and whole. Not broken. And if by me being here is making the process easier, by all means this is where I want to be." He smiled and said, "I don't get it. I'm 34 years old, and you are barely 24. But you seem so calm about all of this. So mature. At your age the only thing I was thinking about was getting laid by the hottest girl." He saw the uncomfortable look on my face, then said "I'm sorry Tony, I wasn't downing you. I was just trying to say how mature you were for your age." He pulled me closer to him, and then I said "I know you weren't ribbing me, it's fine. It's just a sensitive subject with me. But I'm not nervous or freaking out right now, because I love kids. I've been around babies my whole life. I come from a huge family, and seems like every time I turned around someone was pregnant or giving birth. I have three nephews, and I've helped with them since birth. They are now 3 and 5 now." He smiled and said "Well good, I'm glad I have a pro on my side."

The nurse came and got us and directed Mitch where to pull his car so they could bring the boys out. He told me to wait with the babies as he went to get the car. I held little Mitch who was at this point wide awake looking up at me, while another nurse held Aiden who had tired himself out, and finally gave in to sleep. The nurse who was talking with Mitch and I who I found out her name was Glenda told me to call there were questions or concerns. Apparently she had told the other nurses a little about the situation, and they all applauded (not literally) me for stepping up to the plate to help a friend in need. I told her that I or Mitch would call if anything was to occur. At that point Mitch pulled up the curb with the Range Rover and got out to open the back door. After Glenda inspected the car seats to make sure they were suitable, we loaded the twins in. Mitch told me to ride in the back with the boys, but I told him he should. After some back and forth, I finally took the keys from him and walked to the driver’s side and said "Get In". He smiled and then did what he was told cranked up the car and drive off, looking in the rear view mirror as the nurses waved us off.

I told Mitch I had to stop by Super Target to get the formula for the babies. He told me go ahead and pull in. When we stopped he sat up and handed me his AMEX and said to get whatever was needed told him I had it, but he insisted. So I got out and made a quick run into the super center to get what was needed. I came back with a couple of bags got in and handed him back his credit card along with the receipt. He laughed and then said "Boy that was a first." I looked In the rear view mirror and what was a first? He replied "That a person I gave my credit card to handed it back to me with a receipt that wasn't a mile long." I laughed and said "Material things aren't everything, you can't take any of it with you when you pass. So there is no need blow it. Especially if it's not yours!" I added with a laugh. He laughed then said "Boy I wish you were there to teach Rebecca that lesson. She would have cleaned me out completely if I would have let her. Fortunately for me, I had multiple safe accounts that she knew nothing about. I felt bad about keeping them from her, but I see I had good reason too." I nodded in agreement and drove them to their house.

On the way there little Aiden woke up from his cat nap and started to cry. Mitch looked over at him and tried to console him. He eventually calmed down to the sound of daddy's voice. Mitch then said "That's right little guy daddy is here...daddy and daddy Tony are here. We won't let anyone hurt you or your big brother. We both love you both very, very much." He then leaned down and kissed him on his forehead. He then looked up at me and smiled. I looked back at him in the rear view mirror, with my eyes watering. Then I looked away, I didn't want him to see me like this. I couldn't believe he called me daddy Tony. This was becoming too much for me, I mean he was straight! I decided that if I was going to be around to help him out at times, I needed to know. Even if that meant me coming out to him, it would lift a heavy weight off my shoulders. I finally got them to the house. Tony told me to pull into the garage and we would take everything in through the mud room. I unloaded the groceries while he got the boys out of their carriers. I came back to help him and took Aiden from his arm, while he grabbed Mitch. We then took the boys upstairs to their room, and laid them both in their cribs.

Chapter 8 - The Realization

After settling the boys into their room, we both just stood at their respective cribs. Mitch at little Mitch, who on the way home decided we would call him Alex. And I at Aiden's crib. The boys looked so peaceful staring up into our faces. At one point Aiden worked his face into a small smile looking up at me. I just couldn't understand how someone could abandon such beautiful, innocent children. As I was looking down at Aiden, I felt Mitch come up beside me and wrapped his arm around my side. He pulled me close and said "They are beautiful aren't they?" I could only nod in agreement as we both stood there looking into Aiden’s crib. He then said "I can't thank you enough for being here with me right now. " I told him "I'd rather be here with these beautiful boys, then anywhere else right now." He looked at me with his eyes twinkling and said "Oh, just the boys?" I laughed and said "Well your ok to be around too I guess." He squeezed me hard against and walked away to sit in the rocker in the corner of the room.

I thought about going home for a bit to clear my mind, but decided against it. My thoughts would have to wait. I set about preparing things for Mitch so that he wouldn't have to worry much. I told him I was going down stairs to prepare some bottles for the boys. I knew it would be feeding time soon, so I didn't want to be caught unprepared. He said to go ahead and make myself at home. He was going to stay up here with the boys for a bit. I went downstairs and got the formula and bottles out. I washed them thoroughly then set about filling the bottles with the formula. I looked around Mitch's kitchen and I was in heaven. I hadn't noticed it before, but he truly had a chefs dream kitchen. It reminded me of mamas kitchen at home. I thought about it, and decided I would cook Mitch dinner tonight.
I went upstairs to check on him, and almost melted at the sight I saw. Mitch had moved to couch and both him and the boys were sleeping, one on his chest and the other on Mitch's side. I think At that point I knew, there was no doubt in my mind that I had fallen for this beautiful man. I went back downstairs and looked into the oversized refrigerator and pantry to see what I could cook for him. He had all the ingredients for a nice vegetable lasagne which happened to be one of my favorites, so I set about preparing that. I would use my Mama's recipe.

I set about chopping the veggies and boiling the noodles. I was going to make my sauce from scratch. I got all of my ingredients together and started layering the veggies, noodles, and sauce, and most importantly the cheeses. The kitchen smelled heavenly, as sat the lasagne I the double oven. I set about cleaning the mess I made, and took some pots to the sink to rinse off. I hadn't noticed Mitch enter the room. I was at the sink with my back turned when I felt two arms wrap around my waist, then pull me toward his chest. At this point I just leaned back into him. He said "You are going to spoil the boys and I. Your cooking for me too?" At this point my cock was boned up from my ass being pushed up against Mitch's crotch, which surprisingly felt hard. I couldn't take it anymore. I pulled his arms from around my waist and turned to face him. I then said "Mitch we have to talk. I don't know what's..." He cut me off with a finger to my lips, and looked at me with those beautiful grey eyes. He removed his fingers, and then leaned forward and kissed me. He kissed me hard. I tried to fight against it, but I finally gave in and gave myself to him. It was the best kiss I have ever had in my life. It seemed to go on forever until he finally pulled away. He smiled while I was in a complete daze.

He looked at me and said "I have been wanting to do that to you since the moment I laid eyes on you. But out of respectful or Rebecca I never made a move on you. Tony I'm straight, I'm attracted to women. But ever since I laid eyes on you the first time in the restrooms at the office, I haven't been able to get you out of my mind. I've never felt like this before, ever for a woman or man. You have been a constant fixture in my mind for 5 days straight. Now hear me out, I'm sorry if I've scared you or made you uncomfortable. I understand if you want to leave now, I just couldn't resist giving you that kiss. I hope I haven't ruined the friendship that we have, I can't stand the fact of you walking out on me and they boys. I'm sorry that I..." It was my turn to stop him with a kiss. He was shaking slightly so I just held my kiss until he calmed down. He then pulled me into him, and said "Please don't leave me." I looked into his beautiful eyes which had started to water and said "Baby I'm not going anywhere". He then kissed me again and pulled me into him. This time he was a little more rough, it was really starting to turn me on. His hands had move from my back down to my ass, where each hand squeezed its respective cheek. I moaned into his mouth which only made him squeeze my ass harder, pulling me into rock hard crotch. He finally slowed down and broke our kiss apart. We were both breathing heavily at this point. He put his forehead against mine, and just looked at me. I did the same thing. Neither us were saying anything, we were speaking to each other without eyes.

Our bonding moment was ended by the sound of cries. Mitch had brought down one or the baby monitors to the kitchen. I pulled away and told him I'd get it but he stopped me and said "No baby, you finish up and here I'll go check on the little guys." He walked away and up the stairs. The baby monitor was still down stairs so I heard him as he walked into the twins nursery. He said "What's wrong little guy? I'm here let's get your brother so we can eat. Now stop that crying, your daddies love you very much. Did you know that? Yes they love you very much?" I smiled to myself, Mitch had hit it right on the head as far as me loving the boys just as much as he did. But I also was starting fall in love with Mitch as well. I started warming up the bottles as I knew he was bringing the boys down to eat.

He walked into the kitchen with one baby boy in each arm. I walked over with two bottles and took one of the boys from his arm, and then gave him a bottle. We sat at the breakfast nook table, and fed our baby boys. For a while, the only sound you heard was the smacking of lips on a bottle. Mitch broke the silence and said "never would I picture saying this, but the three most important men in my life are all in the same room as me. And I love each one of you so much." I got a tear in my eye, I reach over and kissed him and said "We love you too Daddy." Mitch smiled from ear at that statement and said "Daddy likes that, I'm glad." Then he did his famous wink at me.

Just as the boys were finishing their dinners, the oven timer went off. I handed little Alex to Mitch and went to check on the lasagne. I wanted to let it cook a little longer so I left in the oven for a little longer. I then walked over to Mitch and took Aiden out of his arms, and told him to mimic me. I was teaching him how to burp the boys. After a couple pats and rubs both boys burped enough to satisfy me. Both boys seemed to drift off to sleep immediately after their burping. I took this opportunity to go get the double bassinet I saw upstairs I. The nursery and brought it down so that Mitch and I could eat with the boys nearby. We placed the boys in the bassinet side by side. We stood and looked at them, they were sleeping so peacefully. They were so beautiful.

I set about preparing a plat for Mitch. He broke out so e wine that complimented my lasagne perfectly. He raved on how good it was. He told me that I was going to make him fat if I cooked like this all the time. I have to admit it was pretty good though. We took the time over dinner to get to know each other a little better. He told me more about his dad, and how his mom passed away a couple of years ago. I told him about my family and the restaurants we owned. He said he had been to Marchese's several times, which gave him extra points in my mental book. We had been sitting and talking for hours, it just felt so right. Like it was meant to be.

After dinner we cleaned up and then took the boys upstairs to their nursery. We got them settled in, and I looked at my watch and was shocked. I didn't realize how late it was. I told Mitch that I was about to head out, he grabbed my arm and said "No please don't, we need you hear tonight...I need you hear tonight." I looked into his eyes and saw how longing he was, and said "But I didn't bring any clothes or toiletries." He said "I got you covered just please don't go." I looked at him and said "Ok, I'll stay." He smiled at me and hugged and kiss me then said "I'll be right back let me lock up." He dashed out of the room and down the stairs. He came back up about 5 minutes later with second baby monitor. He walked over to me and kissed me. Then we walked to each little boys crib and kissed them goodnight.

He grabbed the baby monitor then took my hand and led me down the hall to the master bedroom. He stopped before opening the doors, and said "I hope I'm not being to forward in assuming you'll share a bed with me." I looked at him and said "This is all happening a little too fast but I'm ok with it. I'm usually not this open, but with you it feels right." He smiled and kissed me, then opened the door. The bedroom was very immaculate, from the furnishings to the bedding. He pulled me in and gave me one of his heart stopping kisses from earlier. He slowly started undressing me, as I did the same. He started kissing down my neck, then went down to my nipples and teased and sucked each one in. My hand was on the back of his head pushing him harder into my chest. He suddenly stopped and picked me up and carried me into the master bathroom.

When we got inside he sat me down, then went to the walk in shower and adjusted the water. He then turned around and walked toward me and started kissing me while he took off my Speedo briefs, freeing my rock hard 8" cock. I reach over to pull his down. I looked down and was eye with the most beautiful 10" long and fat cock I've ever seen. I lightly started stroking it, which cause Mitch to moan. My mouth started watering and I was about to try to take Mitch into my mouth, when he pulled me up and said "Not yet. Let's shower. He pulled me into the shower stall and started soaping up his hands. He then proceeded to wash my body not leaving any part of me untouched. He paid special attention to my ass as he worked his way down my back. He would rub each cheek with his soapy hands and then slide one hand down the crack. At one point he spread my cheeks all the way open and started rubbing my Virgin rosebud. I was in complete ecstasy, moaning, panting, and pushing against his hand as he played with my most private area. He then turned me around so that my back was facing him, and then pulled me into him. His rock hard cock nestled perfect right between my ass cheeks.
He then reached around and took my cock in one hand and my balls in the other and started stroking them. As he was doing this, he was rubbing his cock up and down my ass. I was on cloud 9 enjoying the sensations, when I felt his cock speed up on my ass and back. He then went into overload pumping my cock which cause me to push my ass back harder on his cock, causing him let out a low groan. I was lost in the sensation when I felt his mouth cover my ear as he started nibble, lick, and suck on it. This new sensation drove me over the edge and I blasted the hugest load I ever shot on his glass shower wall. Shot after shot erupted from my cock, causing me to buck, moan and pant. My orgasm caused Mitch to shoot as well and I felt his warm stickiness between my back and his hairy chest and stomach.

I turned around and he pulled me into the most sensual kiss. This kiss wasn't sexual in the least bit, it was a kiss letting me know that Mitch was giving himself to me. There was no turning back now. He finally pulled away and put his forehead on mine like we were doing earlier I the kitchen. The water poured down over our heads, as we wiped the cum off of each other never pulling our foreheads and eyes apart from each other. Finally. when we were completely clean, we stepped out of the shower. Mitch went over to the bathroom linen closet and got two towels. We dried each other off, and walked hand in hand into the bedroom.

He then told me "I just want to let you know that Rebecca hasn't slept in this bedroom in over a year. She had been sleeping in the downstairs master. So this bed has only had me in it for over a year. Tonight I want to change that." I nodded at him as he pulled me into the bed behind him. I reach over to make sure the baby monitor was at its loudest setting, then turned over to my side. Not even 10 seconds after I did that, Mitch reached one hand under my side and then brought the over my other side, and then pulled me over to him. His nestled his cock right between my ass cheeks, and I felt his breath on my neck. I thought to myself this feels so right. This is where I'm supposed to be. Mitch broke me out of my sleep and said "Tony this feels perfect. I love you baby." I pushed my ass back on his cock which had grown to full mast again, which cause him to groan and pull me tighter, and said "I love you too Daddy". We then drifted off to sleep with each other, both feeling content.
