Triple G Appreciation thread

Punxsutawney Phil – the famous groundhog weather watcher – woke up and did not see his shadow Friday morning, calling for an early spring.

Gobbler's Knob??? Wonder what happen there  when they aren't watching fat rats?

Darn, that means it will be getting hot soon. The longer the winter here the better. It will not be long until I will be telling you of 120F+ days. melt.gif

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Well, let's hope that the groundhog not seeing his shadow doesn't portend an early or more extreme heat season. Groundhog Day seems to be a piss-poor remnant of Candlemas, which is a Church celebration, which in turn was originally a Celtic or Pagan holiday, the significance of which I've forgotten.

I hope you're having a great weekend, and a great Pew Duty day!

(*8*) Good morning, John

We are waiting for the down pour that will be hitting the coast today. It should hit us Monday for several days. I have an appointment in Havasu City on Tuesday. Hope the rain will be light by then.

Off to pew duty soon.

Still waiting for the storms of the Pineapple Express to arrive.

It's totally over casted with light grey clouds. No dark storm clouds.

Tomorrow, I have an appointment in Havasu City when the storm is said to hit us. Hope the drive will not have any extreme weather.

(*8*) Hello, Andrew.

Surprise, the weather guys are liars not good at their jobs. Instead of a Bible downpour we got a very light drizzle. Traffic flowed fast, the guys at Discount Tire got me out in 15 minutes and I had ribs at Chillis..

Still, lots of dark clouds, maybe more rain

Hi, Gary. (*8*) I am glad that you didn’t get much more than a bit of drizzle, and also had some delicious sounding ribs to enjoy. Yum, yum! :p. I hope the rest of today has been equally as good for you.

I’m okay, but I’ve just dropped my earbuds, so I’ll be going and washing them, I don’t want to risk an ear infection…;)

Good Wednesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I'm glad to hear that it wasn't raining too hard for you to get out and do what you needed to do. I hope you're getting some beneficial rains, but not the flooding rains.

Where is the picture of the raging river? My cousin in San Diego said they had flooding in the river last week and they were afraid of getting more flooding. He apparently lives on higher ground, so he doesn't have to worry about it too much.

That photo is of the normally dry Los Angeles River. (*8*) Looks like a few days until the rain returns. The rain has been light, soaking type here as opposed to the down pours in the LA area.

:grrr:Sometimes I hate Amazon. I ordered two items earlier this week without any problem and received one of them yesterday. When I tried to place another order today, I was not able to check out. After much searching, I found a phone number and was able to talk to a real? person. They could not find my account and after being transferred all around, was finally told my account was block due to possible fraud. This has happened twice before. Now I will be contacted with a few days to prove who I am.

I tried going to the manufacture of the item direct, but they sell only through Amazon.

Good security is good, but they carry it too far. At this point I wanted to give them the middle finger, but JUB does not have a smilie for that.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're having a great weekend, and that pew duty will go well.

I'm sorry about your problems with Amazon. I hate it when "security" screws up your life. And then they let the real thieves get into your account and order stuff when it should have been obvious that it wasn't you that generated the activity.

(*8*) Good afternoon, John, Rob, Andrew

My account was unlocked Friday afternoon, BUT Saturday afternoon it was relocked. Go to Araucaria's thread for details.

Happy Valentine's Day Gary! (*8*)

Good Thursday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with Amazon. I don't blame you for quitting them. I hope you have better luck with Ebay, or I suppose you could drive to the nearest big city and buy what you need from the stores. But that's the reason you have merchandise delivered in the first place, so you don't have to travel to what, San Bernardino, Las Vegas, Phoenix?

(*8*) Good morning, John, RM

After receiving the email from Amazon that my orders from them have been canceled, they both arrived yesterday.

There are some major retailers in Lake Havasu City, an hour away, but many of the items I require are not available there.

Phoenix, Las Vegas and San Bernardino are all 21/2 hours one way.

Now to the installation of my purchases.

Hi, Gary. (*8*) I’m sorry you have had such issues with Amazon. I am glad that you got your orders delivered eventually!
I hope you are okay, with no big health issues.

I’m so busy these days! I never know where the time goes, it just seems to fly by at the speed of light!
Indeed, Easter is not too far away…..

Hi, Rob (*8*) Thanks for reminding me of Easter., It's time to start ordering eggs.

And getting the egg colouring machine working.

And do not forget the chocolate eggs.

The items ordered from Amazon were installed yesterday updating the rear Dolby Atmos speakers.

My health remains the same meaning I have mobility and balance issues.

Time is flying by. It is almost March all ready. (*S*)

Good Tuesday evening, Gary! (*8*)

I'm glad you got your orders from Amazon and got them installed, after all the trouble you had from them.

Yeah, Easter is coming up, so you've got to get all those eggs delivered.

I'm glad that the storms that are flooding the coast have not deliver much rain here. I would hate to have to hide Easter Eggs in the down pours they are having. We are predicted to get rain tomorrow morning.
