Triple G Appreciation thread

Good Saturday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Boy, that sounds like a lot of work and expense around your house! It's good that you have that handyman to do all that work for you. I hope your health has improved, and you don't have those dizzy spells anymore.

Well, today is the day of truth, when my Gators face Georgia in what is called "The World's Largest Cocktail Party," or the annual Gator Bowl matchup, or whatever corporate sponsor has their name on the stadium these days. I'd like to think they can win, but the facts suggest otherwise.

We'll see what happens with the D-Backs and the World Series.

I hope your weather has cooled down again. Our weather has shifted to a late October pattern, breezy, but highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 70s. It is still humid, but the rain and storms of summer are gone.

Good Tuesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Well, the Gators got thoroughly beat on Saturday, just as I was afraid would happen. Let's hope they can beat Arkansas this week, because after that they only have tough games left on their schedule. Your Holy Men and USC both won, so you should be happy.

Hope everything is going well for you this week!

Good Thursday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're feeling well, and that things have cooled down in the desert. It finally cooled down a bit here. It's a bit windy and cloudy, with a few sprinkles off the ocean. It even feels a bit coolish, though it's hard to explain how 71 degrees can feel cool to someone not living in Florida. It will warm up to 79, so it will be pleasant in the day.

Rare Boy mentioned that BillyT's birthday was November 3rd.

He has been gone 4 months now. I miss him so very much.

Perhaps Lefty is having a birthday party for him.

It's that time again. Our area stays on Mountain Standard Time all year long, so I will not be losing an hour of sleep tonight. :)

Hi, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are having a great weekend, and I’m glad you don’t have to change your clocks - we put ours back one hour last weekend in England. It now gets very dark very early in the afternoon…

I’m okay, and I had a good bike ride today.

Good Tuesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Well, our football teams just didn't have the luck on Saturday.

We turned our clocks back on Sunday. I thought California turned their clocks back too. Or do you set your clocks by Arizona time, since that's where the closest town to you is? They don't move their clocks ahead and back.

You are correct, John. It makes sense to be on the same time as the only town. When I started coming here for fun in the 60s, it was that way. Everyone was early or late all the time. Only thing we have to do in California time is the opening of polls on election day.

Happy Hump Day, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are having a great day, and that folder duties will go smoothly for you.

I’m okay, and enjoyed a walk with a friend in the afternoon. Here’s a photo’ I took.

(*8*) Good afternoon, John, RM, Rob

Finally, everything has been sorted. Received the part needed to repair the water softener and it appears the work will be easy. Let's hope that will end all the repairs.

Happy Fri-yay everyone.

^^ Rob, I love that photo of the English lane. It is so pretty. (*8*)

Good evening, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are having a great pew day today. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the photo I posted the other day.

We are to have severe gales tomorrow afternoon. I hope we can survive the storm!

Good Tuesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope all is well with you, the toilet all fixed and everything. It just wasn't a good weekend for our teams, with both the Gators and USC losing. The Gators put up a great effort, but like I said in the other thread, it's hard to win when Superman is the other team's quarterback.

Good Saturday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Glad to hear that you've got everything fixed, and that you're all situated for a comfortable stay at home. It sounds good for your Holy Men today, and USC looks fairly good, but I'm afraid it doesn't look like a good day for the Gators. They're playing away at Missouri, which is doing well this year. Besides, the Gators have a lousy visiting record. I'd like to be hopeful, but I just can't conjure up any optimism for the game.
