It's been a few days since I've seen you on here. I hope it's because you've been busy with the Christmas preparations and festivities. I've noticed that most of the usual posters seem to be taking a break this week.

I trust your weather has cooled down quite a bit in the desert, but hopefully not too cold.

Good morning, John

I have been tired lately and having trouble walking. There is not much to post about lately except to complain about things. Like Fox preempting the 49ers with the Chargers games. I prefer college football, but the 49ers are so entertaining lately.

Our weather has been delightful. Highs in the 70s and low in the 40s and 50s. Blue skies and calm winds. This is the best time of the year in the desert.

I need to get to folder duty, which has been put off since yesterday. Hope you have a great day.

Good Sunday afternoon, Gary!

We finally got a sunny day, after a week of bad weather, though it's still breezy. The temps are supposed to start dropping tonight, with a low of 50 degrees on Tuesday morning, and possibly not making it to 70 in the day. It'll be sunny, but the breeze will cause a wind chill. We usually get a quick rebound of temperatures, but highs are supposed to be only in the low 70s and lows in the low 60s for the rest of the week.

I haven't heard much about damage in Florida, but I heard about some flooding around St. Petersburg, probably from a storm surge from the Gulf or the Bay. The wind blew down my 15 foot cashew tree, a year after hurricane Ian took it down. At this point I'm wondering if it's worth saving, if this is going to happen with every big wind.

We have a wicked strain of flu moving through our community. I came with it late Tuesday. Haven't been able to get around. At noon today I could not stand. The fever broke about 2 PM now I am almost back to normal.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that you caught the flu. I hope you're feeling better, but you'd better take it easy until you've completely licked the thing.

Are you getting the rain and storms that are hitting California and the Desert Southwest? You could probably use some rain where you are, but I hope you don't get too much.

I wish you a wonderful Christmas, and hope you'll have a good time. I don't think Santa will bring me a lump of coal this year, though he might update it with a solar-powered light. You know, reducing the carbon footprint and all that b. s.

After three days I am back on my feet.

The rain that flooded the LA area never reached us. Just clouds and a little drizzle.

Got some catching up to do so can't stick around very long.
