Triple G Appreciation thread

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I see you Holy Men won last night, though that meant USC had to lose. The Gators held on to a 2 point lead to win, when a linebacker intercepted a pass with time running out to seal the win. Mississippi State was in field goal range, and they didn't even have to put it up. We'll take the win.

Your weather sounds good, with highs in the 80s and lows in the lower 60s. That's about like it is here, with highs in the 80s, but our lows are still in the 70s. Other than a passing shower or two, we haven't had any rain for about a week. It seems there are usually a couple of periods in the year, one in the mid- to late fall, and the other in the early spring, when the weather is just beautiful.

Have a good pew duty day.

Hey, unload

I think you need to move back to York and reclaim your old title. They need a new Duke there. :giggle:

Good Monday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I take it that your weather has cooled down nicely. It poured rain here last night, and we're supposed to get more rain this afternoon. But it's going to be nice later in the week, with lows finally dropping into the upper 50s on Halloween morning, and highs will only be in the upper 70s.

(*8*) Good afternoon, John

It was 61 this morning and the highs are around 90. Just about perfect weather.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're enjoying the extra hour in bed this morning, before you have to get up and do your pew duty.

It has been a little cooler lately, with lows in the upper 50s at night, and highs in the mid- to upper 70s. It will be a bit warmer today, with highs in the low 80s and lows only in the upper 60s. But the humidity is gone. I hope things have cooled down nicely in the desert where you are.

I saw that your Holy Men won last night. As for my Gators, they put up a great fight, but in the end came up short against the Bulldogs. They canned their head coach. I think the Gators' problem, though, is that once you fall out of prominence in the Southeastern Conference, it's very hard to get it back. They haven't been consistent winners since Tim Tebow graduated. They've gone through a series of head coaches, each showing a bit of promise before the wheels fall off. And then it's fire the coach, hire a new one, rinse and repeat.

Hey Gary. Hope you're doing well. (*8*)

I'm sure York is glad to be rid of Andrew and Fergie. Traditionally, it's a title given to the second son of the monarch. When William succeeds his father it will be interesting to see whether he recreates the York title for Prince Louis.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're doing well, and your weather is pleasant. Over here it's gotten hot and muggy again, but the weather people say our temps are going to plummet, with Tuesday being like a cold midwinter day. The low that morning will be 46, and the high only 67. 🥶 Time to break out the space heater.

Your Holy Men won again, having no trouble with Navy. Unfortunately, the Gators were out of bite last night, having one of their worst games yet. Yeah, it was ugly. 😢

Enjoy your pew duty day later!

Good Wednesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I see there are a lot of storms and rain in California and the Southwest. I hope you're not getting washed away. Here, it has been very dry, and after last weeks cold snap temps have warmed up to the low 80s in the day, and down to about 60 at night, with much lower humidity.

You Holy Men continue with their winning ways, but the Gators continue on their losing ways, though they put up a fight last Saturday. It's no bowl game for them this year.

Good Tuesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I haven't heard much about the weather out your way lately, which at this time of the year probably means that it's pretty good. With the flooding rains in the Pacific Northwest and the cold and snow in the North, I've seen nary a mention of California in the weather reports. Yesterday was cloudy and rainy with strong winds. The temps don't look bad on paper, with lows in the 60s and highs in the low 70s. But the windy weather makes it feel cooler than the actual temps.

Hope everything is going well with you.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope everything is alright with you. It looks like California is in for some flooding rains this week, though I didn't notice whether they expect it to get into the desert where you live. Have a good pew duty day.

(*8*) Hello, John

No sign of rain, yet. They say late Tuesday for us.

My health is failing. I spend most of the time in bed. As I write this, I am considering going to pew duty. I can barely walk. Haven't been out of the house in two weeks.

Typing is difficult as I keep hitting the wrong key.
