Triple G Appreciation thread

We've had some come down from the Adirondacks - I felt one, didn't feel the others.

Minor compared to the San Adreas Fault and its surrounds.

BFD, earthquakes are a dime a dozen.

We had a fucking tornado today, just a few miles up the road

Those can certainly make you sit up and take notice.

We had some "low power" ones down Ithaca way earlier this year - an hour plus away.
Water Spouts on Lake Ontario, too.

That's about as close as we get to the major nasties of tornadoes and hurricanes.

This is California, sun, sea, ski and smoke,,,shakes are okay.

We don't do tornadoes ..

and today the final count is 4 w/in 60 miles...

to- freaking- day.

We've gotten severe thunderstorms but tornados and earthquakes are almost unheard of around here.
Blizzards on the other hand...

We get blizzards and white outs and stuff like that too. But,

that's way up on the mountains. Here on the slopes and in the

valleys it's supposed to be lots of agriculture, grapes, vineyards,'

contented cows, oil and gold mining. This ain't Kansas and Toto

nor Dorothy live here.

Hello dynk. Looks like you will soon have new I toys.

I want the new iMac. It is only 5mm thick and mine is getting slow due to only 4GB or ram.

Oreo Cows?! I'm used to Holsteins being B&W and popular around these parts.

Ninja,
Blizzards you say? What are they? We NEVER get blizzards. (Well, HARDLY ever.)
LAKE Effect, on the other hand . . .

But, you've won the golden snowball more than we have, hands down.

Of course, neither of us can hold a candle to the Tug Hill Plateau for precipitation.

Nope..but we certainly get snow and lake effect in bunches.

It has to do with that thing in Real Estate - Location, Location, Location.

Syracuse, just far enough South of the East end of Lake Ontario, with Hills rising behind it . . .

Perfect recipe for an abundance of White "participation".
