Trolls?

I think it's both. I think online troll has the online meaning and offline it's likely to have the meaning that you meant. Although I find that the "old" part is subjective.

For instance, in my local chatroom on another site, there's a creepy 60 year old guy who throws himself shamelessly at ONLY 18-22 year olds. It turns my stomach.

This kind of open lechery over a 40-ish year age gap is what I call "Troll". Someone that old and experienced who are preying on young, naive, innocent guys for their own benefits.

I'd never heard the term referring to message boards such as this until recently here at JUB.

Guess I should get out more ?!?!

Personally, I don't care how big an age gap is and I don't think all young guys are young, innocent, and naive. They could be attracted to much older guys. It really depends on the two people involved.

Trolls were something different back in the day... I knew them as OLD guys who would prey on young 'twinks'. When did the term change to what it is now?

I knew them as 'chicken hawks' too.

But i still don't know whether he is a troll or not.

Part of me thinks that he's the textbook definition of an online troll, but part of me also thinks that he was a very clever individual with a genuine desire to try to understand more in order to deal with his personal demons.... who knows...

I'll be the first to admit that my knowledge of the terminology probably isn't the greatest. There are SO many gay terms I can't keep up with them all... Greek Active, French Passive, feltching, snowballing, shrimping, twinks, bears, otters, glitter fags, Daddies, ... WHO comes up with this stuff???

Well for somereason even I am not being mean to people or scaring them alot of people think I' am a troll on other forums and doesn't troll mean that someone they scars people and who is mean to others? I just don't know why people think I' am one since I would never hurt people. I' am a nice guy. They even said I was the most successful troll and got a trophy well not a real life one but it was a pic of one.


Just that most of the forums I goto and post a question it ends up somewhere that they think I' am a troll and they even can tell by how I' am typing which is weird since I don't say anything bad or say anything mean to people. I do have OCD but I don't know if that has to do with it.

LOL. I haven't a clue. And just when you think you've heard or know it all, something else comes along. I remember when I first heard about 'sounding' - my dick retreated so far into my body, for a few seconds I believe I became female!!!

I believe "Sounding" is when guys stick long objects (I've seen screwdrivers, pens, paint brushes, and objects made specifically for this)
down the pee hole as far as they can get it to go. WHY they do this, I dunno !!!!

Since a lot of people don't know what these words mean, here are some of them as defined by UrbanDictionary


French Passive

When a male person has fellatio (a blowjob) performed on him by another person, particularly when it involves gay sex.

Felching

To suck freshly ejaculated semen from any orifice, usually the anus

Snowballing

A very kinky sexual game when after someone has had sperm ejaculated into their mouth they hold it orally rather than spitting or swallowing, then french-kiss with their partner. It can also apply with two guys or a group with at least one guy involved (no duh).

Shrimping

to suck on someones toes for sexual gratification.

Twink

An attractive, boyish-looking, young gay man.

Bear

Hairy gay men.

Sidenote: Usualy refers to an older, very hairy, heavy/chubby gay male.

Otter

A gay man who is very hairy all over his body, but is smaller in frame and weighs considerably less than a bear.

Side note: usually refers to younger skinny very hairy guys.

Glitter Fag

A male homosexual who is VERY feminine and typically wears glitter and other forms of makeup.

Or stay in more, and read the internet. 'Troll' the noun is a backformation from the verb 'troll', which means "try to cause trouble [on an online forum]." It's a metaphor from the literal practice of trolling, which is trailing a fishing line behind a moving boat in hopes that something will be hooked.

So the relationship to troll as in subpontic lifeform is a pun, whereas in the old gay usage the comparison was more direct.

Now, there is also a sense in which you DO need to get out more. Some young men really are attracted to older men. (There are also outright gerontophiles, who are attracted to elderly men, but that's a separate phenomenon.) Part of what they like is the direct, no-bullshit-games attitude many older men have developed.

You may not like it. That's fine. It's not your problem. If the guy keeps hitting on people who've made it clear they're not interested, that's a different story.

But also, paying someone compliments isn't necessarily hitting on them; among young men, it often is, because young men (often, not always) can't think of any reason to pay someone a compliment other than to try to get into their pants! Some of us older guys just never let an opportunity to pay a well-deserved compliment pass by. There are a number of reasons for this; in my case it's partly because when I was young, very few people told me how pretty I was, and I didn't believe the few who did (I thought they were making fun of me). So I'm doing my part to break the cycle!

I don't deny that there are some younger guys who do go after older guys, and if that's what they want, I'm fine with it (for the most part - at least enough to mind my own business).

I was merely stating what I thought MY definition of a "Troll" was... The creepy old man who preys on young naive guys for their own sexual gratification. Exploiting their weaknesses in order to use them for sex.

I'm not saying I think ALL young guys are naive. I'm not saying ALL old guys are Trolls. I'm not saying there aren't some young guys who like old guys.

I was trying to narrow down MY definition without expanding on EVERY possible variable there is... Not to mention MY definition was wrong to begin with, as the true term I should have been using was "Chicken Hawk", and not "Troll" (?).

(btw- I'm 43, and well aware that most younger guys probably view ME now as "the old creepy guy", and as such, I limit how much I say to them so they don't think I'm trying to get in their pants.)

I have to agree. It certainly adds a whole new dimension to ChickenGuy. When I first saw it, I initially thought his new friend RoosterGuy had surreptitiously accessed his account after he stepped in the kitchen to make a chicken sandwich.

Right now, he's outside goose-stepping in the garden and holding his wing up in salute in front of him.

He's also demanding that all chicks hatched must be pure yellow in colour.

I'm worried that others may face egg-stermination.

I personally think that he's suffering from shell-shock.

I cud stick to. Back when I went fishing, trolling was running your baited line behind the boat in hopes of attracting nibbles and bites. Snagging was a
thing kids on the river banks did...or maybe that was snogging.
