Im thinking about it, when I find a sex mate I want to see if he can help by watching me pee.
 
God those arguing guys (above) were annoying...I wouldn't have even tried standing there between them. I haven't mastered talking (let alone arguing) and peeing yet...lol.

And while having a partner "help you" get used to it...well, he might get you used to having him watch...but a public washroom with different people in there who aren't watching you is probably different. Best is just to "face your fear" and get it over with. Maybe I'm simplifying or diminishing a problem that is much more big than I think it is...but if I, the once painfully shy guy, can use urinals like crazy these days, it's probably not that hard.

Thanks for the advice but I really freeze-up. Maybe when I find a mate he can watch me anf if I go all-right than reward me with a nice hand massage, sort of a positive reinforcement. Then we could go together to a public bathroom and see how I do.

ya i can't use public bathrooms much unless I really gotta go and I use a stall
 
don't know if its common to gays, but i can't do it either - imagine that with such a passion for watersports that i have. my problem is somehow connected to pulling my dick out of my pants and starting - when someone else is around. if i'm already in process and someone comes in, noproblem. in health clubs, naked, i can go to the urinal and put out a stream with someone around - and no problem

you know I have the opposite problem....

I can't use a stall... have slight claustrophobia and when I'm in those little stalls I get nervous.... I have to use urinals.... never had a problem being pee-shy.... everyone pees and everyone has different sized cocks so no reason to feel at all intimidated by the urinal or the guy next to you.
 
I've been this way since I was a kid, and I don't believe sexuality was an issue when I was a 8 year old. ^_^ I pretty much never have a problem with it now unless the bathroom is busy and there are lots of people and noise there (or if I'm slightly stiff for any reason at all.) What works for me is just taking deep breaths, possibly closing my eyes. Just keep breething deep and steady, and for me it relaxes things enough for me to go.

I used to always wait for a stall to free up, but then I had trouble going in a stall because I started thinking of how loud the noise was when the pee hit the water! For a while, then, it was easier for me to go in a urinal, but then I started thinking, all guys have to pee, and no matter what guy is doing it, if you're peeing into the sit-down toilets, it sounds just like if any other guy was peeing in one and his pee hitting the water. Once I made that realization, I can use both toilets and urinals just as well as the other. And yeah, if I feel stopped up, just take some deep breaths and calm down. Remember, all guys have to do it, so it's no big deal. And if you just CAN'T do it, you can always try a stall or go drink lots of water and try again. ^_^

And don't get impatient. Sometimes it still takes me a few minutes before I can do it, but usually it just takes 10-30 seconds. Anyway, good luck!

this is the most common social phobia known in psychiatry - and lemme guess u dont have a problem when u use a stall?
