If Bernie Sanders were running, he probably would have won. He had some ideas that would have benefitted all Americans... universal health care for example. Health care is important, and the US is the only developed country where a simple health issue will bankrupt you. After Bernie was out, and I learned more about Hillary, I was like, fuck it.

Trump though... while he has some scary, extremist ideas, I don't think he's going on a Nazi rampage like everyone thinks. Everyone is severely overreacting... but you know a lot of those people are just angry that they didn't get their own way.

Honestly though, part of the reason why Trump won is because so many people are sick of SJWs and political correctness run amok... they brought this upon themselves.

The older Democrats don't seem to get it. They thought only Platform mattered. It doesn't. What matters now is Platform AND Character/Integrity. Hillary missed the second part of that.

Middle Class America connected with Bernie. He wasn't an Establishment/Corrupt politician like Hillary. When he talked, he galvanized voters and drew incredible crowds.

No doubt in my mind he would have won.

he said he is going to invest in infrastructure all over the country.
If he don't follow thro, you know what happened to the people who broken their promises.

His plan is to give private corporations major tax breaks, then allow them to privatize the public infrastructure. This will be paid for in user fees and tolls. A win win for a long term revenue return for corporate interest. First they get the tax breaks to build for profit infrastructure that the working class and transport of goods travel on daily. User fees and tolls are new taxes.
He pitched this to his supporters as he will do wonderful things in rebuilding the roads and power grids without any new tax's. The dopes bought it. They won't be so happy when the bridge they have to cross every day has a 7.75 each way toll, or there are even more new surcharges and fees applied to their water, and other utility fees.
It will hurt those that can least afford it of course as regressive taxes.
The major electric companies already operate like this as most are for profit companies that provide electric and their rates and charges must be approved by government agencies. They always get the increase and now it will be expanded to privatization of other vital public utilities and roads.
This is not good.

I would point out that Trump is the opposite of Obama in several respects. Like most democrats, Obama is totally driven by ideology, mostly marxist ideology, with a complete absence of pragmatism. Trump doesn't seem to have an ideological bone in his body. Everything is pragmatic; what works is best. This is in part the reason for his success; his willing to change direction when needed.I think he will try to find solutions which work, not which conform to ideology.

The comparison to Hitler was only in the manner that Trump was able to convince the people to follow him. It wasn't meant to infer that Trump would turn into another Hitler.

I just have to admit I am scared. I am more scared now then a few years ago when my family was having severe $ problems and we thought we were going to lose the house. I know that we cannot possibly survive another depression/recession as severe as 08. And what Pence said about HIV funding just makes my skin crawl that the money would be better spent on gay conversion therapy. Well I will be in the closet for another 4 years, as an American citizen I no longer feel safe on my home turf. You know he is going to piss someone off and something will happen. I am terrified!

Obamacare was kneecapped and follows Mitt Romney's model.
The reason it's expensive is because of the insurers and private healthcare providers. The original healthcare plan resembled the NHS style system, which achieves superior outcomes at around 80% less than total US healthcare spending per capita.

Trump will likely make a bad situation worse, but he's okay. He's a billionaire.
