And he will be the republican nominee.

Who else here thinks he's trolling the republican party by appearing to be giving all the bigots in the republican party some credence?

Haha, Hillary will steam roller him next year.

Isn't this a CE&P topic?

But I'll bite.

American Republicans are so desperate that they are embracing out of the closet sociopaths as their candidate.

But the billionaire club that owns all the other candidates is on the ropes this time. Adelson and the KOCH bros. can't buy Trump..or control him either.

I wish he was just trolling. But we are seeing what an out of control demagogue can do to the election process in America. Except for the damage that American presidents can do all around the globe...all of us in other countries would find him hilarious.

Oh. And compared to Carson and most of the rest of them, he is the sane choice.

The thing that stands out about him for me..and makes me grin...he believes his own lies. I noticed that alot when I watched The Apprentice.

Unfortunately...though my eyes anyway....that gives him a moral advantage over the ones who just lie and know they are lying....and even worse....these guys are the best they have to offer?

Hell..If I was a Republican..I would vote for the Donald myself....because for better or worse...as Rareboy noted...he IS the sanest one of them all....and THAT is the real story in 2015.

At one point I thought he could have been trolling but I really don't anymore. I think he is a terrible human being.

I would never vote for him under any circumstance.

Mr. Trump is surfing on his celebrity before the hour of trial when he must actually deal with the voting public. He did very poorly when Dr. Carson surged ahead in polls in Iowa, including insulting the very Iowans he wanted to vote for him.

He is obviously as mercurial as a tsar and every bit as unqualified to rule.

The key sign that he won't be elected is his rank cowardice. Whereas he shoots off his mouth as quickly as a schoolboy, he recants and reinterprets his word at the drop of a hat when public opinion disfavors him.

He wouldn't be a candidate yet if the major press weren't giving him free publicity with interviews every day. What is not getting any air time is the hiding President Obama gave the feeble Trump in the last election and how he was humiliated by having his ass handed him on a platter at the National Press Club dinner when the President showed that clip from The Lion King and slapped him across the chops for his impertinence about birth certificates.

Mr. Trump's ego and internal dishonesty probably doesn't allow him to admit even to himself that he is yet running his race against President Obama, trying to re-run the race he already lost. He is trying to work vendetta, but has nothing to offer the country.

Stay tuned. He's toast. When he and Dr. Carson fall out of the race, then the real election will be in play and we can measure the parties' odds of winning.

I am embarrassed to admit that my brother is a huge Trump supporter. We argue all the time.

Other than make it plain whom I do or do not support, I avoid actually arguing with friends or family about politics. There has never been a single case of a converted person in such arguments, so why bother.

Either I do intend to remain friends and family, or not. Arguing about politics won't be a part of that.

Give your brother the space to be who he is and ask for the same. He knows you two disagree, so he should appreciate the olive branch extended.

My brother is the one that brings it up. It pisses him off I think Trump (and all of the other republicans) are a joke.

^ Oh won't thanksgiving dinner be fun this year.

I'm cheering for him, and we all should. Why? Because of the spectacle he's caused amongst the republicans

Look at his pants.

To paraphrase Judge Judy: how do you know when a politician is lying? When his/her lips are moving. The party affiliation really doesn't matter.

well I think he represents the party well---lol---but just today he said if the other gop clowns in the race continue to pool their resources to attack him in Super Pact ads---he will run as an independent. I think this is what he should do---the gop will try to stop him at all costs. A three man race is what we need---great for President Hillary.

my sisters in laws are all right wing repub----at a Thanksgiving several years back they were talking how much they loved Sarah Palin lol---I almost did a spit take of my turkey across the table---my sibs were like looking at each other like omg----say nothing lol. Half of them are going to CT this year so the progressives will out number the looney right.

I didn't mean to imply you were causing the arguments, only that it would serve your interest to shut the exchange down. Can you simply tell him when he gigs you about it, "we see it differently -- why dwell on it when you know that? Where's your respect for me?"

Of course, that is idealized. I know that real life has the asshole factor to figure in.
