Re: Trump Staff Picks

So Guiliani...who is actually a witness in the Mueller investigation, has been hired by Trump to negotiate an end to the Mueller investigation.

Turns out though, that maybe Giuliani had more to do with the Hillary emails being leaked than known previously.

Re: Trump Staff Picks

Trump is so transparent. Everything he does is so 'in our faces' that we can't conclude anything other than that he is a very desperate man who demands that his ego must be fed and that he must be worshipped.

Re: Trump Staff Picks

So, now it comes out that Sean Hannity is a FUCKING WELFARE QUEEN, with help from Ben Carson (head of Housing and Urban Development - HUD):

The Georgia purchases were funded with mortgages for $17.9m that Hannity obtained with help from Hud, which insured the loans under a program created as part of the National Housing Act. The loans, first guaranteed under the Obama administration, were recently increased by $5m with renewed support from Carson’s department.

Hannity, who is reportedly paid $36m per year...

Any argument the Repukes have, that say that welfare is BAD...well, that's pretty damn rich, isn't it?

Re: Trump Staff Picks

Since Hannity is apparently the de facto Chief of Staff at the WH....we'll leave this right here.

^You just listed the few people who would be desperate and/or foolish enough to accept the offer.

Ronny Jackson in. Now we know what sucking Trumps ass and declaring him to be the healthiest person on the planet will get you.

The Trump nomination so far has fucked Rear Admiral Jackson, MD. Putting him front and center exposed him as an asshole, which really is a prerequisite for being a Trump appointee. A drunken Trump appointee, who passes out ambien on airplanes. Well, these factoids call into question not only his fitness as a naval officer, but may also put his medical license at risk. And he didn't even get a chance to appear before the Senate and clarify these allegations.

Re: Trump Staff Picks

Did anyone else see that Trump gave his presidency an A+? this man is way past delusional.

Re: Trump Staff Picks

So a virulent anti-lgbt right wing religious nutjob has been confirmed as secretary of state.

We can only hope that he lasts no longer than Tillerson.

The best part is that another psychopathic narcissist has been exposed and ruined....if you look back on his press conference and the staccato performance....it is clearer that we could be looking at someone with substance abuse issues. I put it down to nervousness at the time because he knew he was lying, but now...I think I see a guy looking for his next drink.

Falsifying records on dispensing of controlled substances. Impairment as a physician and unfitness for duty as an officer.

He may be able to keep a job in this administration where this kind of dysfunction seems normal, but his military career is over. And Trump may not be able to stop suspension of his medical license (States regulate medical licenses but there's weird loopholes for the VA and the military).

Ronny Jackson Should Never Have Headed the V.A. Should He Even Be Practicing Medicine? [NYT]

Is Kelly's influence waning? Seems like it. He certainly has been more invisible recently.
After that recent manic episode of verbal diarrhea on Fox & Friends, I'm surprised that Kelly didn't pack up his desk and leave.

As much as it pains me to say this, there is room now for doubt on the most salacious of the accusations. the Secret Service has found nothing to claims of public drinking, out of control drug usage and driving under the influence... and President Trump has demanded Senator Jon Tester resign for promoting baseless allegations that damage Ronny Jackson's reputation severely. While it's a hoot Trump cares about personal reputations with his selective outrage and petty vindictiveness, appearing to pummel on Jackson without concrete proof gives Republicans an opening to say with more effectiveness that vindictiveness against the Trump administration drives the Democrats, not searching for the truth. I don't want to win that way and good people of conscience and character should not want that either, because there is so much toxicity from this Administration without creating a very dubious one. When the most that can be found so far regarding Jackson are a couple of minor accidents that weren't even his fault, it's piling on. And remember, Jackson was a holdover from President Obama, not originally a flunky Trump just put up there.

It's very possible there may well be solid reasoning why Jackson's qualifications to run the VA are problematic, but Tester didn't even offer a strong defense of his actions when called to resign... only that he would continue to serve his constituents as they deserve. Well, did he launch a faulty investigation or not?

Actually, I don't think the Secret Service has directly commented. The "doubt" is coming from somewhere in the White House. Trump going after Sen Tester is also typical of Trump's Roy Cohn "counter-punch harder" approach to political battles.

Note the wording on the story that came out this weekend:
The White House has completed its investigation of the most serious allegations that surfaced against Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson, a White House official said. Jackson had been President Trump's nominee to be secretary of Veterans Affairs until he pulled out of consideration on Thursday...
The White House official, who declined to speak on the record, said the White House investigation did not find any documents to back up the allegations, and found evidence to refute two major accusations.

The "White House" doesn't do investigations. If there's a need for an investigation, it's turned over to a governmental department that does investigations- like the FBI or one of the Inspector Generals in various branches of government.

The Inspector General report from 2012 implicated two Captains (one of whom was Jackson) in the Medical Office as being at war with each other; that same report also recommended removing Capt Jackson.

If this were a case of a few of Jackson's enemies putting out stories about him, then the stories could be dismissed as political sniping. The report that Tester's staff put out cited 20+ people who came forward with information about Jackson- that's a lot even by Washington standards.

If Tester's staff's allegation that 20+ current and former employees came forward with these allegations proves true, it negates the possibility that these accusations are coming from a few disgruntled enemies. This also points to a really big problem in the Trump Administration: potential political nominees are supposed to be vetted before they are nominated. A normal vetting process would have uncovered these issues with Dr Jackson.

There will probably be an investigation into the allegations, both by the Press and by a trained, professional investigator from the government. If Tester's claim that there were nearly two dozen people who came forward with these stories about Dr Jackson are true, then it will probably be the end of Dr Jackson's career.

Re: Trump Staff Picks

Certainly Trump's record so far definitely shows a pattern of indifference and disregard of ethics, accountability and responsibility. If Tester's allegations can be proven, there would be no other recourse and Jackson will deserve what results, among which as you say among which would be the certain destruction of his career and standing.

Re: Trump Staff Picks

Apparently Ronny won't be returning as Trump's personal physician.

Trump just gained 60 pounds and got 3 inches shorter.
