My read is that Ryan is too religious to accept the taped behavior, too political to swallow the insipid bullshit being spun by Robertson and Carson, and too savvy to actually unendorse his party's candidate when serving as Speaker. He instead takes a "moderate" position that is offensive to those who have decency, angering to his Tea Party constituents, and ineffective in making a principled stand for any non-Republican onlookers. It's a losing proposition.

It's almost amusing to watch how an oversized ego perhaps grew from addiction to limelight to giving away to excesses in wrestling and The Apprentice to reduce Trump to a caricature of himself. It's probably an actual syndrome of celebrity addiction and follows an arc for those who find themselves increasingly irrelevant whenever pop culture begins to move on and leave them behind. Trump became more and more unimportant, resulting in more and more outrageous broadcast behaviors, desperate attempts to stay in the buzz. Maybe his presidential runs are merely the last flailings of that, as nothing is as big a rush for his mind than to be discussed as a "credible" candidate for the absolute power position in the White House. He's so close, he can taste it. He is not prepared to lose this time, and not to Hillary.
 
Former Conservative prime minister Kim Campbell calls Trump a sexual predator:

Canada's first female prime minister describes Donald Trump as a self-celebrating sexual predator whose rhetoric threatens the democratic process.

In an interview with CBC News about the upcoming U.S. election, Kim Campbell didn't hold back when discussing the Republican nominee.

"He has described himself as a sexual predator. The behaviour he has admitted to and celebrated in himself is predation," Campbell said, speaking by phone from a Calgary hotel.

"Unconsented sexual touching is a sexual assault. And somebody who does that, who thinks he has a right to do that, who does it thinking that it's a reflection of his value because he's a celebrity, et cetera, I mean that is predation.

"It makes everybody feel unsafe."

Sure it is, but it's also true that the people who want to crucify Ryan are the same people he in his "religion" pandered to for years. The smart ones are the ones who have gone to ground and are keeping out of it. Alas, poor Paul didn't have that opportunity, he just had to be forced to be Speaker. I wonder how he's liking his '20 chances these days?

He's not prepared to lose to a twat. I went into this thinking that Trump was a fairly intelligent demagogue who didn't really buy his own shtick, imagine my surprise when it turned out that he was exactly as billed.

I have no doubt he's raped someone, assaulted a bunch of others, doesn't pay his taxes and would actually try to ban all Muslims, and all the rest of the racist shit he spews is how he actually feels.

There very well could be oppurtunists but I don't doubt that Trump made unwanted advances on women.
 
I don't understand Trump's obsession with Bill Clinton, making it seem that his behaviour makes Hilary unfit. Bill's behaviour is in the past and has nothing to do with Hilary, but Trump's behaviour is his own and very, very current.

Besides, I've read articles which indicate that Bill's behaviour is completely irrelevant and most people are ignoring it completely.

I think he is trying to capture the people who had the faux outrage back in 1998 and 1999....a lot of them are already in his camp but...uh....maybe no one mentioned to him that a lot of old white people who had a fit and who would have flocked to Donnie...well....they are dead.....20 years is a long time when you are 60+....
 
The Bill Clinton attack line has been tried and failed. Trump has been told by GOP advisors to not go there but you can bet that Bannon is urging him on at every chance he gets.

As Trump becomes more dangerously unhinged by the day, any fears that voters have or had about Clinton are further allayed.
 
Trump, in Florida, basically just said that People magazine writer Natasha Stoynoff wasn't attractive enough for him to make advances toward her.
