D.C. plastic surgeons see surge in "Mar‑a‑Lago face" requests from Trump insiders
Since January, D.C. plastic surgeons have seen a wave of Trump insiders asking for overt procedures in line with the "Mar-a-Lago face" look.
What they're saying: Washington is typically an understated town regarding plastic surgery; people want to look good, but don't want it to be obvious they've had work done, says area plastic surgeon Troy Pittman, who works with a lot of Trump insiders.
But that's no longer the case since Team Trump 2.0 rolled into town: "[Now] we're seeing people who want to look like they had something done," he says.
For now. But what will Congress and the States do when he declares himself dictator?
C.R. “Bubba” Saulsbury Jr., a Texas-born energy executive and director at Saulsbury Industries, has emerged as one of the most influential private donors in former President Donald Trump’s fundraising orbit.
At a private fundraiser in the west Texas oil city, where tickets went for almost $US1 million ($1.5 million) each, the Republican presidential candidate told donors the US “could not be in a worse position as far as energy security goes”, according to people who were in the room.
The lunch event at the plush country club in Midland was chaired by Javaid Anwar, chief executive of Midland Energy and one of Trump’s biggest industry supporters, and his wife, Vicky, alongside Bubba Saulsbury of construction group Saulsbury Industries and Doug Scharbauer, another prominent local oilman and horse breeder.
According to an invitation seen by the FT, event chairs paid $US924,600 per couple; co-chairs $US300,000 per couple; and regular sponsors $US25,000 per couple. Photos with the former president cost $US50,000 each.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle said: “The beautiful American flag on the White House South Lawn that was recently installed by President [Donald] Trump never touched the ground. “Due to the high winds on Sunday evening in the Washington, D.C. area, the flag was lowered into a special container out of an abundance of caution during the Marine One landing.”
I have almost no doubt that this Bubba at some point told Trump that if he wanted him to donate big bucks to his campaign, Trump would have to blow him.Another big money Texas oilman... this one nicknamed "Bubba".
