Since January, D.C. plastic surgeons have seen a wave of Trump insiders asking for overt procedures in line with the "Mar-a-Lago face" look.

What they're saying: Washington is typically an understated town regarding plastic surgery; people want to look good, but don't want it to be obvious they've had work done, says area plastic surgeon Troy Pittman, who works with a lot of Trump insiders.

But that's no longer the case since Team Trump 2.0 rolled into town: "[Now] we're seeing people who want to look like they had something done," he says.

The lunch event at the plush country club in Midland was chaired by Javaid Anwar, chief executive of Midland Energy and one of Trump’s biggest industry supporters, and his wife, Vicky, alongside Bubba Saulsbury of construction group Saulsbury Industries and Doug Scharbauer, another prominent local oilman and horse breeder.

According to an invitation seen by the FT, event chairs paid $US924,600 per couple; co-chairs $US300,000 per couple; and regular sponsors $US25,000 per couple. Photos with the former president cost $US50,000 each.

IMO, the lowering of the flag into a special container would still violate the Flag Code; because, the container would have to be below the flag; and, on the ground. As an architect, I've delt with similar large flag poles; and, their "special container" for the flag is typically inside the pole itself, usually at the largest diameter of the pole.

I have almost no doubt that this Bubba at some point told Trump that if he wanted him to donate big bucks to his campaign, Trump would have to blow him.

Or...more likely, the reference to the BJ was likely a descriptive metaphor for Trump having to butter this guy up bigly for his support.
