So, yeah. Someone, even not the president, could have all three. However, the black and/or red should be turned in when leaving the job.

I seem to recall that Presidents get to keep their diplomatic passport but the verbiage is changed to say they're the former president.

It does have to be renewed every five years.

That said... Donald Trump lies like a dog. We shouldn't be believing anything he said. And we would keep in mind that he's also an unindicted criminal.

Evidently the passports were in one or more of the boxes that were collected via the warrant. The passports were returned when deemed not to be relevant to the investigation. There may be other items in the boxes that will be returned. Candy bar wrappers for example. A custom-made Trump bobblehead.
