Trump this.

The toad knew what he had, and if he's denying the word "nuclear" it's a certainty that he had that information.

Of course, he was planning to profit off of that info, and there's no telling what he's already sold or to whom.

Makes sense to me. If he sold or gave away (for previous debts) or simply showed anything to any of his dictator buddies, then he deserves punishment as a traitor.

In Oct 2021, CIA Counterintelligence sent a top secret cable warning an unusually number of confidential informants were being killed, captured, or compromised.

In Jan 2021, Trump stole documents on these kind of informants.

I am sure that Trump got them killed by selling them out...

Can someone tell me what happens if Trump announces is entry into the 2024 race tomorrow? Please don't tell me that it would let him off the hook.

He will siphon off money from the actual Republican candidates.

The larger question is, "What if Trump is the 2024 nominee while he's under indictment?".

Until there is an indictment, there is no hook.

There is no legal immunity for candidates for office. It's custom and tradition that you don't prosecute prospective or former officials.

Whether or not there will be an indictment depends on the various DAs and the DOJ. One of them has already opted out (NY.)

He already does that, but there's plenty of Koch money to spread around.

Trump will try to drag Docugate out as long as possible. No way can he do it for two years. This shit is so blatant that even loyalist judges won't sacrifice their careers for him. He could appeal but he'd have to fined a court that would want to hear it. If DeSantis, Cheney or whomever make him battle it out through the primaries he will likely be in court or worse. Ditto if he's nominated. Worst case scenario somehow it does drag out into a potential second term and he claims immunnity. Another variable is how long DOJ is going to play with him. Special Master or no, there are enough unequivocally damning documents in the trove that any personal or priveleged material determined would be irrelevant to the valid evidentiary content. DOJ already went through that process. Any hold the court's ordered Master review likely puts on indictment would be time limited.
