Trump this.

excellent analysis of how Jack Smith is staying one step ahead of the Donald :=D:

I am not sure anyone can be one step ahead of TrumpCo.

Flooding the zone with bullshit claims doesn't only have to occur in a courtroom.

By the time of his trial, he will have made hundreds if not thousands of false claims in the public arena...many of which will be echoed by MSM and the far right conservative media with no challenge to the lies or some legally

Mary Trump explains Evangelical fanaticism for Trump, and Donald Trump himself. Both entertaining and educational. Well worth the watch:

"is he even religious?"

And a burst of laughter.

It is interesting that both Colorado and Maine cited SC Justice Gorsuch in their rulings.

At least Jack Smith is laying it right out there for the people and the courts. Democracy and the integrity of the Constitution are at stake in this.

Trump did find out that he is not immune from civil prosecution on Friday....and hopefully this will also bear on his criminal charges.

Washington — A federal appeals court on Friday allowed a lawsuit brought by a group of U.S. Capitol Police officers against former President Donald Trump to move forward, ruling that Trump is not entitled to absolute immunity from civil lawsuits. The suit focuses on Trump's alleged conduct surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol.

The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit based its decision on a ruling in a separate case brought by two Capitol Police officers and a group of House Democrats that was handed down earlier this month. In its Dec. 1 opinion, the D.C. Circuit rejected Trump's claim that he is shielded from civil liability because his alleged actions in connection to the Jan. 6 attack fell within the official functions of the presidency.

From the above article, ” would chill future presidents from carrying out their duties due to the prospect of future criminal prosecution“. If Trump and his lawyers believe this shouldn’t they be required to present a scenario to the court where a president must break the law in order to carry out the duties of his office? Maybe something from the past can help illustrate their point. Also why do republicans keep referring to the Biden crime family when the claim here is that a president can’t ever be a criminal as he is above the law. Republicans weaving tangled webs yet again. The baffling with bullshit line fits here methinks.

Because what's good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander. That is, 'projection'. They see their own crimes in others.

Toad and his lawyers don't "believe" in anything. It's all bullshit they invent, with no consistency, foundation, logic, or precedent. They don't give a shit if what they say makes sense, has any legal foundation, or is consistent with what they said yesterday, and indeed what they will say tomorrow.

The sole purpose of what they say - besides massaging the ego and grievance of an orange toddler man in dirty diapers, is to stall for time. They think that if they stall decisions on whether Toad is eligible to be on the ballot until he's on the ballot in a bunch of states, the SC will not kick him off. They think that if they stall the trials beyond the election next Nov, they can use the Presidency to end the rule of law and with it, Toads accountability before it.

That is all that is going on. They will say anything and will. There is no consistency, no politics, no philosophy, no agenda, no platform, no vision for the people, just the whining, White Grievance, and White Identity pandering of a puerile asshole who's never been held to account for any of his rapes, crimes, frauds, abuses, or defamations.

^ I hope however put on that shindig got paid in advance

He's probably charging 1000 bucks a plate for the party...so likely he is getting paid.

As for Vanilla Ice(?!) and the Ninja Turtle(???!!!), they likely didn't get paid.

Kanye was probably in a straitjacket somewhere.

Trump businesses received millions in foreign payments while he was in office

Countries including China and Saudi Arabia spent $7.8m, ‘often lavishly’, at Trump properties, report by House Democrats finds

Donald Trump “repeatedly and willfully” violated the US constitution by “allowing his businesses to accept millions of dollars from some of the most corrupt nations on Earth”, prominently including China, the top Democrat on the House oversight committee charged on Thursday, unveiling a 156-page report on the matter.

Because the constitution is for chumps. And rules don't apply to Trump.

And Hunter Biden...what about him?

Remarking on the hypocrisy at this point is moot. No one who supports the Toad will care.

The Constitution does say that a President can't accept payments other than his salary from persons foreign or domestic.

However, the Constitution doesn't specify what can be done about it, other than impeachment.

There was a bill that was submitted in the last Congress (when Democrats had the majority) that authorized the DOJ to press charges against a President who violates the emoluments clause. The "Protecting Our Democracy Act" bill passed the House but stalled in the Senate.

As it stands, it's clear Trump took money from lobbyists and corporations affiliated with the Chinese and the Saudis. It's apparent that Trump and Kushner made deals with the Saudis while they were in the White House and they benefited from subsequent deals with the Saudis after they left the White House. However, until Congress authorizes the Justice Department to charge Presidents who violate the Emoluments Clause, Trump will get away with it.
