Aren't you the optimist....the US and the world could be in for another 4-10+ years of TrumpCo.

The only way that this can't happen is for him to either be convicted or removed from life. Neither of which I see happening.

Pure evil like Trump is so exceptional, as we've seen too many times in the past, that it is self-supporting and able to shield itself and those who feed it until the last breath.
 
IMO, I don't think the Donald will survive his 3rd Presidential election. I think the American voter is fed up with his BS; and, will prove that at the polling place. I'm not that enthuseastic about re-electing President Biden; but, as was always spoken of those long forgotten "Yellow Dog Democrats", they would vote for a mangy, yellow dog before voting Republican :rotflmao:

What happens when you repeatedly disregard a judge's warnings and you continually slander, libel and defame someone after a trial verdict?

In yesterday's E. Jean Carroll defamation trial, Judge Lewis Kaplan asked Trump’s attorney Alina Habba if she had any more witnesses to call to the stand. When Habba responded that the former president intended to testify, Kaplan interrupted her to make a statement to the courtroom.

“I have a few things to say. There was a trial last year about the truth or falsity of Ms. Carroll’s claims. Mr. Trump was listed as a witness but did not testify. The jury found for Ms. Carroll. There are no do-overs, it’s called issue preclusion or collateral estoppel. The jury found that Mr. Trump inserted his fingers into her vagina. And that Ms. Carroll did not make up her claim. And that Mr. Trump’s June 11 and June 22 statements were defamatory. Now Mr. Trump may not make any argument against this.”

And no doubt he will be out there raising money from his knuckle dragging MAGAts today after having his testimony truncated by the judge yesterday and then throwing a tantrum today and storming out of closing arguments...always the victim.
 
So the jury is out since 1:40 pm on determining the amount of damages that he will have to pay Carroll for defamation after the first trial found him responsible for sexual assault.

3 hours...which seems to indicate they took the expert's advice on board for the compensatory and reparatory damages and I would bet dollars to doughnuts, sawed off at a punitive damages amount that would survive an appeal...or 3 to 4 times the total amount of compensatory and reparatory damages.
 
What takes precedence now?

Will the Letitia James fraud judgement or the E. Jean Carroll case damages come first?

And where does Melanoma fit in all of this? Obviously, at $88.3 million...Carroll is going to get far more of Trump's money than she or her son will ever see.

But is she protected at all? Or does she have to rely on selling off her Birkin bags and grift from her NFT scam of a couple of years ago?
