Trump this.

Even Clarence Thomas has complained about district court judges getting too big for their britches, I agree with you that those at the top have little concern for the sanctity of the law but they prefer to signal which cases they want as opposed to a lowly district court judge foisting it upon them. If Cannon aspires to a higher judgeship she’s making a mistake, however if she prefers a spot in the administration of her favored candidate she is doing just fine.

IF Toad wins, she'll get the next vacancy.

My argument against this is that if someone were giving influencing her opinions, say the Federalist Society, there's enough smart and crafty legal experts that run in those circles who could also write a decent opinion to back up her opinions. That doesn't appear to be what is happening. If she were competent, she would be doing a much better job of appearances.

Is she acting like she is clueless about how a Federal Court operates? Maybe. She's had an unusual amount of turnover in her law clerks but that would only account for some of the buffoonery.

I suspect you know how petty and mean trial attorneys are when confronted with an incompetent attorney or jurist in their midst. Would a Federal Judge want to get the reputation of not appearing to know the law or how to conduct the country's legal business? I don't think so. It might be argued that Clarence Thomas has earned millions in free vacations and indulgences in reward for his ridiculous opinions but until recently, Thomas has had no power in his ultra-right lonely lunacy.

Why on earth would she bother with the Federalist Society? I don't think she's in Moscow Mitch's bag. She's taking orders from just up the coast. The time is going to come when even the Federalist Society is going to have to suck the orange hole.

Hyperbole is fun and all, but that is actually what I think. She's taking orders from Mar-a-Lago. It's painfully clear at this stage that careful, reasoned, hell even mildly likely legal justification is NOT needed anymore. What she's doing is exactly the same as the Toad playbook, right down to the ketchup on the walls.

No one higher up has done anything to stop it.

You asked why people in Texas don't sue? They do, they lose before that ever gets anywhere because the courts allow it to die. That was the whole point of stuffing the courts with right wing partisans.

Some good news though.

DJT stock closed below $17...wiping out all the gains since January.

While Trump's stake is still worth $2.9 billion, his shares are going to be chasing buyers who simply aren't there when they can come to the market on September 24.

I expect that Trump has a tougher and tougher decision to make now. Sell off to clear $5 to $10 a share or hang on with the belief that he will be president again and Truth Social will be worth something.

I think that this sums up the future of Truth Social....if the insiders who run this farce are bailing while they can, it pretty much tells the market what they think of the chances of survival are.

Also contributing to the selloff in TMTG shares is that several executives, including CEO Devin Nunes, COO Andrew Northwall and CFO Juhan Phillip, have sold millions of dollars worth of shares in recent weeks.

So Trump has admitted he lost the 2020 election...although still claiming voter fraud.

And some of his fanboys aren't taking it very well....

Bullshit, Nick. You knew it. You and all the MAGATs chose to reject the facts and believe the lie, because you thought you could get away with an insurrection and steal the election. Cut the shit.

They do because they are.

There are so many stupid Trumpanzees out there who believe in Lizard people and JFK Jr. coming back to support Trump that all these shysters and grifters can keep the long con going even after Trump is dead.

They all know how to monetize stupid.

And today it is losing the struggle at the moment to stay above $17....sliding to $16.82 earlier...psychologically of course, the lower the price, the worse the percentage declines look each day.
And Forbes weighs in....look at the caveat that Trump might sell his stake because he is a presidential candidate.

Read that to mean that between the 19th and 25th Trump will make every effort to cash out...unlikely to realize the sale of all of his shares, but able to flip them to the rrrZZZianz or other dark players who may still be looking to flow foreign money into his campaign...or he will just grab what he can from the suckers still out there at prices less than $12 to take what he can.
A billion is still a billion.

Uh oh.

The Apprentice shysters who actually put together the Truth Social deal have won a summary judgement to be able to sell their shares.

A federal judge in Delaware has ruled in favor of a firm seeking assurance that it will be able to sell its minority stake in the parent company of former president Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform.

From FB this morning:

However rough your Friday might have been, you didn't have to stand at attention in New York in front of the cameras, like Halina Ali Baba did, while Trump brayed about how "disappointed" he was in his "legal talent."

Further to that...

But the fucker got his sentencing delayed until after the election...so that there could be no accusations of election interference but by delaying sentencing, it is clearly interference in the election....

He will never be sentenced.
