Trump this.

Donald Trump has to be the luckiest person on the planet. All of his criminal cases get dismissed or delayed until after an election. He sexually assaults women, blabs about it on a recording but never gets convicted of a crime.

And he has two incompetent guys plan to shoot him, weeks apart.

The latest incompetent lunatic showed up at 1AM and sat waiting 12 hours for Trump to reach a particular hole on his golf course. Even though Trump had not reached that section of the course, the barrel of his weapon was spotted protruding from a chain link fence somewhere between hole 5 & 6. Notice where hole 5 & 6 are in the picture.

The news media started reporting "shots fired", labeling it as an "assassination attempt" and referring to the perpetrator as a "shooter" which set up the story to be like the Pennsylvania rally. The story that is developing is that the shots that were fired were from the Secret Service. Routh was spooked when they spotted him and he ran before firing any shots, leaving his personal items at the fence.

Faster than the news media could put together the story about what happened, Trump was already putting together fund-raising blasts to make money off of the events of this weekend.

The Secret Service is being blamed for a "security breach". Trump is blaming Biden and Harris for fomenting unrest. The question no one is asking is, "Why is the US taxpayer paying for security for a former President who insists on spending hours playing golf on multiple public golf courses?". Look at the diagram above. When Trump spends a significant time playing golf, those public roads are not closed. Anyone can drive through, including thousands of people driving on I95 which runs from Miami through Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. This has been allowed for 9 years now. Maybe it's time that Trump either stop playing golf on his public golf courses or maybe he should pay for his own security?

The Secret Service has shown Trump pictures that photographers have taken of him playing golf. The pictures were taken with long range lenses... the same kind of lens that could be used to focus the sight on a weapon. Yet, Trump insists on playing golf on courses in public areas that the Secret Service cannot shut down.

Looking at the aerial photo, the north-south road running next to holes 5 and 6 is Congress Ave., a busy street with no place to park along the golf course property. My guess is the guy had to park in a lot across the street. So he would had to run across a busy 6 lane highway to escape in his truck when the secret service shot at him. News reports say he was stopped in Martin County, which would mean he was able to drive at least 30 miles on I-95, not to mention that he likely would have had to stop at several traffic lights before he even reached the interstate. My thinking is that it is remarkable the suspect could do all that, if the security provided by the secret service is indeed that tight.

I don't drive up to West Palm very often (yes, Trump's Golf Course is in West Palm Beach, which is a point of snobbery for Broward County).

I think the road that runs by the airport is 807 which changes into S Congress further south?

The pictures from the news sites does show the taped off area as being the hedges and palm tree side which would be along 807.

This reporter is.... guuuuuurrrrllll!

Off of the ironically named "Gun Club Rd", there's a parking lot for the Sheriff's department that would have been empty and would have just be a quick jog and has very quick access back onto 807 and onto I95. The news reports said that the suspect was spotted running from the golf course and a bystander got video and his license plate number.

When the news reports said that he was picked up 30 mins later on I95. If I were going to make a run for it, I think I wouldn't get on a toll road since there's cameras everywhere recording license plate numbers.

On a weekend, he could make pretty decent time, I suppose. It was hard to tell exactly where the suspect was picked up. The reports said he was "on his way" to Martin County. So, he was likely around Palm Beach Gardens?

Trump says that only important presidents get shot at.

Yeah, that Channel 10 reporter is definitely in the fraternity.

It isn't just Broward County. Those of us locals who grew up in West Palm know that, if you have to look east across the water, you are definitely not "Palm Beach."

807 is Congress Avenue (it sweeps around the corner of the airport and turns into Australian Avenue around the curve to the north).

I hadn't thought about the parking lot surrounding the sheriff's facilities, where incidentally, the Palm Beach County Jail is located. I just have no reason to go in there. If that's where the suspect had parked, it sounds like he probably cased the area, since he would have had to go some distance to the location he had set up. Did he go through the vegetation surrounding the golf course undetected? Either secret service failed to see his activities, or he failed to register for some reason.

I-95 is not a toll road in Palm Beach County, though I understand they do have traffic cameras along the interstate. The reports say the suspect was stopped by Martin County sheriff's, which means he had at least crossed the county line, which is just north of Jupiter, so we know he at least got that far. There is probably about 20, maybe 25 miles of I-95 in Martin County.

Speaking of "West Palm", the Hulu series "Palm Royale" makes a lot of jokes about the rich people in Palm Beach never going to West Palm... like it's "bridge and tunnel".

The news reports were specific about some things - like the shooter making a run for it and leaving his gun, backpacks, a GoPro and other items behind. But they didn't provide a lot of details about where his (actually his daughter's) Nissan vehicle was parked and why it was that the bystander knew to get his plate number. That's what makes me suspect that it was someone from the Sheriff's department. The plate number got into the system within 30 minutes and the suspect's car was picked up by a tag reader on northbound I-95.

The reports also hinted that the suspect had planned this for a while, which is consistent with your speculation. He had to have checked out the area ahead of time and he had to have known where to be to get the shot and then make a quick escape.

Florida, man. ;)

Kimmel gives an update on Trump's "good friend" P Diddy, DTJr's latest cocaine-fuled rants, Laura Loomer talks sucking cock and Trump's crypto-grift.

Trump is a reaction to a perceived and actual societal matter.
Whether he wins or loses soon, he is old so this would be his last term, unless he somehow gets Congress and the states to alter the Constitution to remain further.
But an idea cannot be killed. MAGA exists for a reason, and the core reasons haven't gone away. If somebody who is less oafish and smarter than Trump leads the GOP, then MAGA might be around for sometime yet.
Hopefully, it's somebody as hypocritical as MTG. Her calling out Loomer for racism was oh so funny. Ms. "Jewish space lasers" and praising the Confederacy.

This pet-eating thing is coded racism. The fact Haitians are black has to be a factor. But then considering he said to ban all Muslim entry to the USA and called Mexicans rapists (quite a few Mexicans are white incidentally), it seems there is a hidden "white, male, Christian" undertone to MAGA even if it's not explicit. People are like MTG, Loomer, and any non-white, non-Christian, and non-male MAGA supporters aren't truly at the centre of MAGA's agenda.

Where are the calls for him to step down?

The worst part is that the MSM won't call him out because they are desperate for a close horse race to the finish.

And the GQP knows he won't be really calling the shots...he'll just be parroting what his shills in Project 2025 have to say.

It is the most atrocious conspiracy against the American voters in history.

It's also very frustrating that the media can't do anything but chase the "what awful thing did a MAGA candidate say today?".

Today is about Sarah Huckabee Sanders saying something awful about Kamala Harris. Nevermind that Sanders is sitting at a 50% approval rating and her time as Arkansas governor, a position that she was woefully unqualified for, has been plagued with scandal while she's been flying to Europe on Arkansas' taxpayers' dime.

This is what Trump & company are using to get us to forget about Project 2025. As long as we're talking about cats, dogs and geese in a small town in Ohio, we're not talking about the dystopian future under a second Trump Administration.

In the Harris-Trump debate, Harris suggested that people listen to Trump's rallies.

On Tuesday, Trump did a rally in Flint, Michigan.

Here's a couple of samples of Trump answering pre-screened audience questions. You can tell that the questions were pre-arranged because a) it was mostly black people asking the questions and 2) Sarah HuckaBS Sanders introduces the audience members and gives a brief biography of the audience member.

Here's the 7 minute answer to an audience member question, "What do you see as the major threats to the future of Michigan manufacturing autoworking jobs?". The audience member who asked the question is standing in the lower right hand corner of the video:

Another example: "My name is Barbara I'm a mom of 3, grandmother of 7 and 3 great-grands, a registered nurse, retired retired nurse, so I know the cost that goes into raising children and running a household. People just can't survive now. How are you going to bring down the cost of food and groceries?"

Trump's answer was a 15 min incoherent ramble about nothing. Keep in mind that Trump knew what the questions were going to be in advance.

And it won't matter. People will vote for him anyway because he is supposed to be this magical smart billionaire.

But his rambling, nonsensical answers show how his cognitive ablities are rapdily declining in real time.

I hate to say this but I've heard more coherent conversations in psych wards and dementia care facilities. It addition to just being a bunch of lies, it was like listening to a toddler who says whatever thought pops into their head.
