Well, not exactly. The subjective reports from multiple attendees are real. The problem is that their symptoms can't be validated with a lab test or an xray, so this puts it in the diagnostic gray area that healthcare providers hate.

The current consensus is that is likely irritation from exposure to something at the rally. The symptoms appeared after they left the rally, so that makes it less likely to be a chemical exposure. It could be light exposure which, like a sunburn, doesn't show up immediately but the contractor that the Trump campaign used is saying that they used the same lights that are always used for televised Trump events.

The Trumpists have a tendency toward conspiracy theories, so this is just another opportunity to indulge their fevered minds.
