Trump this.

See- that's part of the problem. Asheville is a Democratic town full of granola eating, goat yoga enthusiasts who attended one of the half-a-dozen universities in the area. They've been gerrymandered into Republican guaranteed districts. represented by guys like Mark Meadows and Madison Cawthorn.

It's wrong when Trump shows up without a FEMA administrator, the governor of North Carolina and the Senators from the State and blames everything on Biden. It's equally as wrong when anyone claims that western North Carolina is a Republican stronghold and a) they are being punished by Democrats or b) they deserve what they got because they're poor, uneducated hillbillies who vote Republican (none of which is true).

Instead of being empathic, Trump used the trip to claim that FEMA spent its money on "illegal immigrants", instead of helping the people of Western North Carolina.

And it's particularly disgusting for someone like Franklin Graham to get involved in the politics of it all:
And yet I am unmoved. My supply of empathy ran out with the people on the Left and the Dems who didn't care enough to bestir themselves. There is blame all 'round, and there will be pain all 'round,

I find it easier to understand the horde over people who know better and did nothing. If that's unfair, it's unfair. It's unfair that I did everything I possibly could, and I still get to pay.

If there is one group of people that disgust me the most it's not the horde, it's everyone else who sat on their collective ass and let this happen.

Now we all get to pay.

The guy who only won with 49% of the vote is currently polling at 47% approval. His approval rating is expected to drop more, as polls show 58% of Americans oppose pardons for Jan. 6, 2021 rioters.

Wait until they see their grocery bill over the next few weeks.

Some 47% of Americans approved of Donald Trump's presidency as he returned to the White House this week..

The survey, conducted on Monday and Tuesday following President Trump's inauguration, showed his popularity higher than it was throughout most of his 2017-2021 term.

But the poll also showed that Americans were already sour on some of his first moves. Some 58% of respondents said that Trump should not pardon all people convicted of crimes during the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol.

Just 29% of respondents approved of how Trump was handling perceived politicization of the justice system.

Some 46% of respondents approved of his job handling immigration, an issue many Americans would like to see as the new administration's top priority.

Just by the bye, for all those Americans who forgot this story from a number of years ago.

Meanwhile, Trump is getting the taxpayers to cough up to keep the Doral golf course running by bringing all the Republicans down for a 3 day golfing excursion.

And everytime I wake up for a piss in the middle of the night I check again.
Never have so many people prayed so hard for just one heart attack.

Never have so many people prayed so hard for just one heart attack.
Every time I wake up I’m thankful that we made it another night without him getting us nuked.

At Christmas, we celebrate the birthday of Jesus, the most admired man who ever lived.
Can you imagine how much it must offend Mr Trump to know that Jesus is more admired than himself?
That's why he will want to improve Christmas by moving it to his own birthday, June 14.

How Not To Manage a Crisis 101

Ah... back to the days of getting ultraviolet light into the body and injecting bleach to cure COVID.

Yesterday, in Trump The Sequel, Trump was at it again claiming that DEI was responsible for a tragedy where a military helicopter collided with a commercial jet with young ice skaters, killing at least 67 people.

At one point, Trump claimed that the Biden Administration had hired dwarfs into the FAA. The policy that he was referencing, baselessly being connected to the accident, was actually a 2019 policy that the previous Trump Administration put in place.

Speaking during Thursday's press conference, Trump read from a January 2024 Fox News article, which he mistakenly said was from this month, about an FAA program to actively recruit people with "severe" disabilities.

However, the FAA launched a similar initiative in 2019 during Trump's first term in office to actively hire people with disabilities.

Jonathan Lemire, writing in The Atlantic, waxed nostalgic about lunatic Trump press conferences circa 2020:

The Day Trump Became Un-President

The first press conference of Trump’s second term had a lot in common with the freewheeling, falsehood-packed sessions of his first.

“We’re so back,” one reporter whispered to another.

All of the chairs in the White House briefing room were filled, and reporters and photographers were crammed into every available nook and cranny. I was standing in the back, squeezed in between a window and a none-too-pleased Secret Service agent.

The sight was reminiscent of the COVID briefings of 2020: President Donald Trump gripping the sides of the lectern in the White House briefing room, pursing his lips as he looked out at the journalists yelling and jockeying for his attention.

And just like in 2020, Trump used a national calamity to try to score political points and denigrate his foes. Fourteen hours after a midair collision between an American Airlines jet and a military helicopter outside Washington last night—the first crisis of the young administration, a moment to console a stunned and grieving nation—Trump repeatedly implied that the crash was the fault of his Democratic predecessors and of DEI policies.

I always was and will continue to be far far more scared of what Mr Putin might do.
But if that was what you felt then do speak your mind. That does not make you a troll.
We dont need to be calling each other names.

Excuse me, we were both terrified Biden would start WW3 with Russia. Yours is the troll post.
And yet it was Trump who wondered why the US has all those nuclear bombs if it doesn't use them.

And speculated about using one on North Korea and blaming someone else in 2017.

I think you might want to be terrified again.

People should pay closer attention to Neville Chamberlain and how appeasing dictators who invade sovereign countries works out for the world.
Standing up to and defeating dictators, prevents further expanding wars.
Capitulating to dictators sanctions their aggression and condones further war.

It was Biden who tried to help Zelenskyy stand up to and defeat Putin.
It is Trump who is not only appeasing Putin's aggression, but explicitly condoning and enabling it, and probably cooperating with it.
Any peace with Putin achieved by Trump through appeasement will be short-lived, because it tells Putin further aggression will not be opposed.
That's a sure way to start WW3. And If there's anyone itching to use a nuke, it's der Trumpenführer.

If the world had kicked Hitler out the Sudetenland in 1938, things could have been different.

Giving in to bully aggressors is never the right move. You have to defeat them.

Trump has no intention of appeasing Putin.

His intention is to aid and abet him in the plunder of the Donbas and Azov.

He will be an active participant in the takeover of Ukraine because he was promised something in return.
