Today, the new head of the Kennedy Center, one Donald Jessica Trump headed a meeting of his new board. He appeared unhinged, rambling on about tariffs and other things that had nothing to do with the Kennedy Center.

After a while, it appeared that one of the Presidential aides pushed the camera operator out of the room so that C-SPAN would not document his mental decline. This is exactly what the Biden staffers did a couple of years ago any time Joe Biden was having one of his "bad days".

Why is no one treating Trump in the same manner as Biden and calling into question his mental competency?

When I was a child, there was an elderly couple who lived nearby that I used to visit. Every time I visited, the husband would show me old photo albums from his youth and talk about all the places that he visited, etc. Every time, he would ask me my name and tell me the same things that he had told me the time before. After a few visits, I realized he did not remember me and he was caught in a weird loop where he could remember in detail events from his past but his ability to remain in the present was lacking.

That the feeling that I get from Trump. He's created a whole set of fictions about 2016 and 2020. No matter where he is or what he's doing, he always returns to talking about the same things... about how he's the victim... about how people treated him badly. He did the same thing last week at the Justice Department - rambled on for over an hour about past grievances. It's like someone dresses him up in a blue suit and red tie, puts him in a vehicle, gives him notes on what to say and he invariably goes off script and starts talking about the same things. It's almost as if he thinks he's still on The Apprentice and he's showing up and doing his shtick.

His obsession with updating the Kennedy Center would be the latest example. In the last administration, he got obsessed with changing the colors on Air Force One. He had a model airplane made up with new colors that he wanted and visitors to the Oval Office were shown his little plane with his new colors.

If Biden or Obama or even Dubya were acting like this, people would be asking for a psychological competency test. This guy has the nuclear codes!

But Trump is not the only problem. The problem is the courtiers around him that feed his ego with obsequious flattery and then put things in front of him to sign. They let him win golf games. They give him trophies and tell him he's a winner.
