Trump this.

Mental hospitals are full of people with the Messiah Complex.

If you scratch a bit deeper, I'll bet that Trump actually sees himself as the Anti-Christ and is loving the idea of the Apocalypse if he is the one to trigger it.

This.

It is part of the same mythology as 'Shining City on the Hill' that has made Americans insufferable over the last 70 years in international affairs.

And at one time, with Radio Free Europe, USAID and a host of other soft power initiatives as well as a seat on the UN security Council, they could browbeat all of us into accepting the delusion.

But all that has been stripped away. As the US abandons western democracy allies, trashes NATO, kills treaty after treaty, ships people off to concentration camps without due process, resurrects naked Jim Crow pre-civil rights racism, embraces rrrzzzian imperialism and brutatlity and on and on and on...no one will ever buy the story again.

The US golden age is dead. It could be replaced by by a gilt covered lead age of rampant imperialism and kleptocratic colonialism, but the idea of the United States of America as being the bastion of western democratic ideals is dead and buried.

And we don't even have to be vaguely polite or deferrential about it any more.

It is like the relative freedom the colonies felt when the British Imperial age crashed and burned for good in the 1950's and 1960's

The trump era is no abberation that the US can sweep under the rug.

He has utterly and irrevocably destroyed the American age in only 80 days and no future president of either party can restore the narrative.

OK let's not be pretending that there is zero opposition or that all of us have been riding around trying to shit on everyone for the last hundred years.

Trump was seen wandering around the front lawn of the White House Apparently, his latest obsession is installing two 100 feet tall flagpoles on the front lawn.

Donald Trump plans '2 beautiful poles' to display US flags on White House grounds

President Donald Trump has his eyes set on "two beautiful poles" to display the American flag on the White House grounds.

Trump scouted one location for what he described as nearly 100-foot flag poles on Wednesday during a surprise visit with a handful of staff members to the White House North Lawn. He said he's planning to have an identical flag pole installed on the south side of the White House campus.

"They've needed flag poles for 200 years," Trump told reporters outside the West Wing. "I've often said, you know, they don't have a flag pole, per se. So we're putting one right where you saw us, and we're putting another one on the other side, on top of the mounds. It's going to be two beautiful poles."

"Paid for by Trump," he added.

Because no one ever thought of putting a flag at the White House:

Hopefully, we won't be subjected to this on the front lawn:

On a related note, the Grifter-In-Chief is planning on hosting a dinner for his meme-coin. Thankfully, it's not using the White House for his grift. Instead, the US taxpayers will be paying for the security for him to host the dinner at one of his Washington-area golf clubs.

^ The top 25 "coin holders" (suckers) will get a personal tour of The White House. This is solely a benefit for Grump. None of it is even political (for party campaigns, etc. ).

They got busted.

Is there any doubt that Trump wanted to have the meme coin dinner at the White House? He was probably told, "no".

Then he announced it was going to be at his golf club. The website said that the "VIPs" would get a White House tour. Then he was probably told, "no", so they changed the website again.

The cryptocurrency Donald Trump launched days before returning to the Oval Office got a big boost on Wednesday afternoon, as the Trump-owned company behind the meme coin announced that its top holders would be invited to an exclusive dinner with the president—and the 25 leading buyers will get a special VIP tour of the White House.

Launched one business day before Trump’s inauguration in January, the cryptocurrency—which has no inherent value or particular use—immediately saw its value shoot from just $6.29 to $74, before crashing to around $10 by early March. The price has slumped as low as $7.57 and was hovering around $9 on Monday. But a little before noon Eastern Time on Tuesday, the price steadily began rising, hitting a peak of $14.28 a few moments after the coin’s official X account announced a special event for top investors of $TRUMP.

The latest propaganda says that the top holders will get "a tour" but doesn't say where. 🤔

The Trump meme coin was launched before the inauguration. Like most things "Trump", the value shot up - reaching close to $75, before crashing down to around $8. His little party announcement last week doubled the price. It went from around $7 to $14 today.

So, who holds Trump's meme coin? Rumor has it that some of the biggest holders, totaling about 1.7 million units (about $24 million) are foreign investors. One possible big investor that is mentioned often is Justin Sun. Sun was charged by the SEC with civil fraud. After Sun bought a bunch of Trump Coin, the SEC put his case "on hold" (civil charges can't be pardoned by the President).

A businessman who pumped $75 million into the Trump family-backed crypto token finds himself in a fortunate position this week as federal securities regulators are hitting pause on their civil fraud case against him.

On Wednesday, lawyers for the Securities and Exchange Commission and Justin Sun, a 34-year-old Chinese crypto entrepreneur, asked a federal judge to put the agency’s case on hold, citing the interests of both sides and “the public’s interest.”

The pause is a 180 for the SEC, America’s top financial regulator, which two years ago charged Sun and his companies — Tron, BitTorrent and Rainberry — with selling unregistered securities and fraudulently manipulating the price of digital token Tronix. Sun and his companies sought to have the case dismissed.

Can't Anyone get a tour of the Whitehouse? Don't you just make a booking, arrive on tour dates, and get walked around? For free.

I believe you need an FBI background check, as well as the usual metal detectors etc.

When I was a child in the 1950's my family went to Washington DC and signed up with a touring company and did a tour of the White House. I don't know about now, but I can't believe that just anyone can tour the White House now. It would be too dangerous.

It's only done now for special occasions or if you request a tour through your member of Congress' constituent services.

It's probably more a question of capacity. Anyone going through would be put through security, but the fact that the White House is a working office, albeit with historic and ceremonial rooms, too, means it cannot accommodate the vast numbers of people constantly.

If you look at the numbers that tour the nearby Smithsonian museums, they are far in excess of what one highly secured site could handle and still function as the head office of the executive branch.

Your sovereign hasn't recently invaded countries, assassinated people, supported genocide or signed unconstitutional executive orders, so the public isn't as much of a worry.

That sounds very effective in choking the numbers down.

a) They have to plan their travel and agenda. Probably knocks out MORE than half of the pool.
b) Learning it may be cancelled after you've gotten confirmation would discourage real planners.
c) Probably no more than 20-30% of Americans know who their Congressional representatives are, so that's a factor, and many are too lazy to bother looking it up.
d) My guess is a good half of DC tourists WERE not citizens, so their numbers pose no threat to White House capacity.
e) Under the current regime, MAGA will be the most likely queued up for a tour, so they should be welcome to beat down guards, stab staff with American flags, and put their feet up on the oval office desk while wearing buffalo horns, else there is no justice in this ole world. "It's gonna be wild!"
