TrumpCo. plans to more narrowly define sex in order to effectively erase transgender people and there are fears that it may also lead to discrimination against LGB as well.

“Setting a destructive precedent, the Trump-Pence administration intends to erase LGBTQ people from federal civil rights protections and eviscerate enforcement of non-discrimination laws,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “Defining ‘sex’ in this narrow language tailored to the talking points of anti-equality extremists is part of a deliberate strategy to eliminate federal protections for LGBTQ people. This is a direct attack on the fundamental equality of LGBTQ people and, if this administration refuses to reverse course, Congress must immediately take action by advancing the Equality Act to ensure that LGBTQ people are explicitly protected by our nation’s civil rights laws.”

I'd like to join the "Told Ya So" club. I been warning these fools that giving carte blanche to discrimination against one group is a green light for all forms of legalized bigotry. White gay Americans thought their skin color would shield them from bigotry, that they could sit at the cool kids' lunch table.... and have been getting some rude awakenings. Some are still too young to get it, they'll understand when their spouse has a medical emergency and they have to jump through flaming hoops to get the insurance company to acknowledge that they are in fact a legal union. this is of course assuming that by that time gay marriage hasn't been overturned.
